I agree that a lot of coins from existing ones are a good long-term investment. But I do not agree with the fact that the situation is the same as two years ago, everything has changed very much. Etherum and Ripple are indeed one of the altcoins that have a good level of popularity. This makes the coin earn a good trust and can also survive for a long time. So for me Etherum and ripple can be counted on to be a long-term investment.

ethereum is the best coin for long term investment, I regret for not holding my ethereum, if only I hold it until its price reach up to $1000 last time, or hold it until it reach another highest value of it this year.
I think now for 5-10 years to make is not worth it. Everything changes in just a couple of months. So that you can earn in the short term. As for the coins, I would have collected everything and waited.

I think the best coins for the long term are bitcoin and eth, because these two coins are very good and have a bear potential. you will not be worried if holding it for a long time.
My choice for long term investment is credits token. In month or two this coin is going to pump due to pre-release and mainnet release, More exchanges are coming as well.
Long term one of the most important thing is the emission rate (inflation). Bitcoin halving it every 4 years, less and less new coins to come to market.
