I think the choice of business is dependent on the type of person you are. Your attitude really matters. Investimg here in crypto world needs long patience and a brave heart to face the risks.

Properties are always a good investment, but people overestimate the profit sometimes. The depreciation of the country's local currency along the years may make the profits look higher than it really is on the practice.

To resell stuff is a good investment. If you don't want to resell by yourself, you can even outsource the function and give away a commission to the person who will work for you, based on the products costs he/she is going to sell. I have seen goods that can reach 400% profit, but most common is to achieve 100% profit. Fast ROI anyway.

Real estate can be cash-draining.  You've got taxes, upkeep, and everything else that comes along with owning a house.  I suppose you could just buy some land with the hope that it'll appreciate, but real estate is risky if it's not paying you an income.  I also think most people who make money by owning property do so over the long-term.  House flipping was popular about 12 years ago when the real estate market was on fire, but it has never been very easy to do that.  One great thing about owning a house is that you own your home and can do what you want with it--but that also includes making repairs, shoveling snow, and fixing busted pipes.  There's a lot of work that goes into it.

You have to specify a time frame when you're talking about return on investment. 

For the long-term, I'd say stocks are probably your best bet, followed by real estate.  As population grows, the economy generally grows and so does the stock market and the real estate market. 

Crypto?  I have no idea how it's going to fare in the next 10-20 years and so I wouldn't argue that it's going to be a great investment for that time horizon.  People have, and still can, make tons of money by short-term trading in it.  You can thank the price volatility for that.

As I've said in other threads, precious metals look like they're moribund and I don't see them getting resurrected in my lifetime.  There is always a place for them in your portfolio, but it should be a very small place IMO.

Aside from crypto, I think traditional businesses has the highest roi because you can have your profit in just a short time. Unlike real estate where in you have to wait for some time for the value to grow and need a lot of investment to have one.

The return on investment varies with many factors, for example:

 - Your experience: You may buy a property, but you may not make a profit because of choosing the wrong place. So try investing in any investment that has experience or likes reading about it.
 - Your capital: Lands have a high value in my country as some land plots cost more than one million dollars. So your wealth plays a significant role in the choice of investment.

Bitcoin is not considered a type of investment, but since the market is fragile "it is changing dramatically with supply and demand." This change in price makes it a good investment if you know how to gain through it.

High-risk investment has the highest ROI.

We knows that the crypto currency investment can give us lot of profits even in short time but this is very new there are lot of invesments like real estate,gold,mutual funds silent partner in businesses and lot more but what you think which has highest ROI in short term other than crypto invesments.

My opinion is that real estate can be that one,since my grandfather used to be like buying and selling the lands and made tons of money in his life time but I didn't do that such kind of traditional invetment.
