New ICOs come quite often, promising superior tech, faster network, etc. but they must earn the trust of the people, and the have to reach people start using their service, which is not that easy as we see.

I do not think that all the work done on bitcoin network and all effort that made bitcoin what it is today can be achieve with just a wish of a new coin, the development and growth does not happen in an instant! Bitcoin will keep leading cryptocurrency!

Sometimes I also think who is the king of Crypto in the coming years, but of all the coins there are only a few who really have the potential to become kings, ETH might be king, or maybe there are ADA, XLM, NEO etc.

We never know the future, but we can read the current conditions to determine the future.

No there will be no new King on cryptocurrency except with the two crypto being stated in the thread. As we all know that these two crypto are having a huge market cap volume and the reason is that the two crypto has a good coin utilization like ethereum where most of the coin in the market are ERC 20 coin platform for ethereum. Then bitcoin is the main and dominant coin that even ether is an alternative for bitcoin. So all of the investors will going to invest on the main coin which is the bitcoin.

Ever heard of the paradox of the first penguin? The first penguin to jump into the ocean gets the more fish. However, he also takes the biggest risks, as there are dangerous animals that can kill him.
When all the other penguins will jump into the ocean, they will get a small part of what the first penguin got.

In this case, Bitcoin is the first penguin. He was first. Litecoin is x4 times faster than Bitcoin, however, its price is pretty stable for years.

Ethereum, on the other hand, has an ecosystem behind him, political and financial support from Russians and a great positive media exposure that helped him moon over and over again.

The future is uncertain, but Bitcoin will be around for a long while and will be the king of crypto, because everybody heard of Bitcoin in the past years. Even those who are unrelated to crypto. Ethereum has a chance of surpassing Bitcoin, but it will be hard, because it has so many obstacles and challenges to overcome.

NEO wants to be the Ethereum of China, and up to a point, its evolution was good and all, but now it is back to $18 and I don't know what to think about it.

And there are many solid projects that will soon be on the market and some of them are here to stay. And we have to take them into account. However, for the following years, I believe that Bitcoin will still be The King. It was the first cryptocurrency and it will always be there in history. It has survived so many turbulent times and I see a future in him. Probably someone will upgrade Bitcoin at some point.

I doubt that any other coin will be able to bypass bitcoin and ethereum in all respects, and I'm motivating by the fact that not all will survive in such a huge flow of different coins and tokens, only the most interesting technologies and the steepest businesses supported their tokens. ETH and BTC are the very coins on which everything is built and held.

There's a lot of Cryptocurreny which have potential but I think No one can beat Bitcoin  because bitcoin is the most popular cryptocurrency. It’s the first, the oldest cryptocurrency and the most trusted. It’s easy to use and secure. BTC value keeps increasing, due to lots of investments being done day by day.

Both of these are developing fast and has many investors up to now. Bitcoin is the original and ethereum's potential is great. They cannot been beaten by anyone.

I think Bitcoin will remain as King of Cryptocurreny because Bitcoin is the most popular cryptocurreny.  Bitcoin has the first mover advantage of being the first of its kind. If you’re still waiting to invest, don’t wait. Buy and Hold, it.

In my opinion. If both BTC and ETH stop developing their project and community also don't support them anymore, there will be new king. If not, there will be not any coins which can replace them

Eliminate the fact that the leadership will take some kind of new coins certainly not, but so far we have the main coin is bitcoin and in the next few years it seems unlikely that something will change!

no doubt BTC is always at top and always will be on top so there are no new competitor in market who overtake the bitcoin. 

Who will end up being the new ruler, I am sad that I can't give you the appropriate response, I can't foresee the future, however you are ideal, there are new coins seeming each day in the digital currency advertise, new innovation, some time or another later on There will be a coin to beat every one of the coins to wind up the first and turn into the new lord. We can just sit tight calmly for that day.

My answer is always bitcoin will always beat all. this is due to, “because Bitcoin is king/queen, and the other coins are at best following it.

It is hard to come up with a fundamental algo with which to price coins, so coin prices just follow Bitcoin as a sort of gold standard (“the Bitcoin Standard”).

It is the number one coin, and thus it is the coin that decides the market price in general.

If there is another standard way of changing ALTs to other currencies example to FIAT. it would much less affected to the price of BTC

no one can replace the current king. bitcoin will still be king for a long time, and it will be very difficult for other coins to shift bitcoin from its current position. if there are other coins that can replace bitcoin, then the coin must be a better project and stronger.

I have no idea that all that will happen, maybe there will be a better project, but if all that happens maybe Crypto will change. because both coins are synonymous with crypto today.

I think that all the same, the next king of the crypto-currency world will be the updated BTC, because very soon, the developers will still be able to integrate Lightning's technology into the network and then we will get a unique project that will be in great demand today.

Of course Ethereum has good chances to become a King in the future . But I firmly believe in Bitcoin .

I think even a lots of altcoins existed nowadays still bitcoin is the king of all cryptocurrency and no other altcoins at this time surpass bitcoin values and its popularity. Still bitcoin is the great influenced of all crytocurrency as of this time.

I do not yet see such promising coins that can surpass Bitcoin or Ethereum and this will not happen in the next couple of years. So I think the two market leaders are determined for the next few years.
