The king is still bitcoin and there are currently no coins to go beyond it. There will never be a coin that will surpass it. Bitcoin is too powerful.

I see BTC and ETH are the two cryptos dominating the electronic money market. But Bitcoin is king and will remain that way. I do not think the market can change so much that Bitcoin loses its place. Ethereum is amazing and will become better , but I do not think it will ever be bigger than Bitcoin. Bitcoin coins dominate and most potent.
ethereum is indeed widely used by all ico but that doesn't mean it will replace bitcoin, because ethereum price depends on the state of bitcoin if bitcoin has an increase in price then ethereum and all coins will also increase, and vice versa, so basically there will be no new king in crypto because only bitcoin will become king

Ethereum might be replace as the no.1 Altcoins but it will not happen in Bitcoin because it already build a deep foundation of trust among the people as the most promising and has the potential to make their money to grow in many folds that even do it has no commodities to promote but still its the people first choice in talking of Crypto currency investments.
it is very difficult to defeat BTC and ETH because they already have a very good community and are used by everyone there might be coins that will be next to them 4-5 years away
if I think for other coin adjustment processes that will replace BTC and ETH I think it's very strange and the time taken will be very long while currently BTC and ETH are very superior nowadays with very sophisticated technology

no one will become a new king. because bitcoin will always be the king of crypto now and in the future, it is impossible for bitcoin to be defeated. even when bitcoin down just like this, there are no coins that can overtake its trading volume
In my opinion the new king is ethereum, with so many tokens using the ethereum platform it will automatically make ethereum use increase dramatically, this is what makes ethereum worthy of being the new king candidate.
I for one think Bitcoin will be king for our lifetimes at least. Bitcoin is #1 because it was first and the originator of the technology. No other project can steal these attributes or best them.
For now there seems to be nothing that can replace Bitcoin, even though many new coins are popping up, there is no way Bitcoin will be competitive. In terms of the market itself, they would prefer to use coins that already have many users and also credible credibility.

BTC will perpetually be thing ruler and nothing will supplant it.
