I think that altcoin will take the lead in 2018 is Ethereum. ETH is going through tremendous growth and I think that in 2018 ETH will have a lot of leaps and bounds. This is evident when the ETH is constantly increasing in value despite the dramatic decline in the market, which reflects the position of ETH in the community supporting it.
If we talk about the price of a coin, then I think that it will be bitcoin. If we talk about capitalization, then bitcoin or an ethereum. If the percentage of growth, I think that some little-known altcoin.
My guess is eth. BTC is taking a big hit as we speak...
Ethereum rapidly increase as we compared it last year. I think it is time for the ethereum to move up than bitcoin. I guess also that the price of ethereum will continuously move upward that will lead it to the top 1 in list of cryptocurrency.
I am also rooting for ethereum bit I'm a bit sceptic on the upcoming regulations about ICOs. They are the pillar of inovation but are at risk because of all the scams that happened in 2017. :/

I'll give it to Ethereum because since 2018 the ico or token offers taking over a whole of crypto space and more country joining this hype of it... ETH or BTC still maintained his strong power.
yes ethereum has a very big chance ; and also IOTA if he has the scalability that they promised

It seems to me that Ethereum will take the first place at the end of 2018, the second most interesting fact of the latter is given to Ripple. 
I think it's too early to talk about the king of the crypto currency at the beginning of the year. In our time, a lot of new crypto currency is created and therefore it is difficult to determine. But, if you do not take into account newly created crypto-currencies, I think that after all, ETH leader is among the crypto-currencies.

Ethereum I think because it has a lot of successful ICO. I could buy more ETH if I want too but I have a signature campaign to work for it and if the token release in the market I could sell some and get ETH. btw.. ETH value will skyrocket
