Yes it is in common scenario that some altcoins we have will drops after listing to exchanges. So the moment at the time upon listing it, it is better to sell it for much profit to earn that to wait for a possible increase that might turn into sudden decrease. IMOO.

I'm selling my altcoin if I have profit on it and not waiting for something else because I'm satisfied on what will I receive I'm not dreaming for more because in reality it was my need than holding on it I'm an independent person so it was my needs than anything. I still hold the altcoins, especially at this moment when the whole market goes down. icx, sc and neo in my bag, i will keep them till the end of the year, in my opinion it will come back vigorously, similar to 2017.

Well, not that early to sell, it is because the market price of the certain alternative coins is that in green. And it really pushed me up to sell. Who would not right? Well, do not measure on how long you would hold into it. Try to look upon the market price of that certain altcoin, and keep yourself guessing if you would dump it or you would go still hold it. Otherwise you might get change your mind up. And do different thing else than you usually do.
I got my altcoins long time and i hodl for years now, thinking there will be a spike in the prices but to no avail. I have no other option than to sell all for fiat. This is part of the game and it is either lose or gain

People will always sell altcoin to secure bitcoin because not all altcoin can last long. If most enter exchange the dev team dump and run away. That mean if dont sell or exchange u rather be the one to loose.
Some people are turning some profits even in this bear market and they're selling to take profits some are just happy to break even and some are just plain stupid selling coins with a 70%+ loss 
but yeah i get it, it really doesn't make much sense if you hodled all the way down and choose to sell on a huge loss, the moment you dump those "losers" is the moment they will pump

They sell their coin so soon because they're expecting big in return. Selling coin immediately will get you a small money in return. That is why many people like holding their coin for a long time because they expect something big in return.
Now hold first because the holders and altcoin holders have fallen and lost so long before they can recover the market and then sell altcoin if the price is high for somehow to recover the losses just hold the best way to earn big.
Some people try to sell their alcotek because they think that the market is going down, they agreed to sell altcoin to compensate for the losses. For this reason, the Crypto market plummeted.
