Not every but the majority of altcoins are shit, some altcoins are not shit at this moment but they will turn into shit after a year or two! So, literally all new altcoins are shit. To me, I only care about the top 50 altcoins right now, others are good for a short time, but not good for holding purpose.
There has been so many terrible Altcoins out there and people has fallen victims of many more of them and this people definitely hasn't been taking their losses quietly, like you said, there are over 3000 Altcoins out there but the actual number is over 5000 with many more that has scam exited and this has generated a lot of negative attention for Altcoins but it's not all bad, there are some good Altcoins out there but when you compare all the coins in the market and check the number of good ones compared to the number of bad ones, you might start thinking that it's a scam too.
It depends on individual perception. For some people, if more than 20% of a particular group is consisted of scams, then they would label the entire group as unworthy of investing in. This threshold may vary from person to person. Some may even regard a particular group as worth investing in, even if it is known that 90% of that group is composed of scams. In the end, it is entirely up to the individual.

The falling price of altcoins cannot be considered bad because I think it is just the effect of today's bad market that whales continue to control.And my basis for knowing that an altcoins are bad for us is dead coin, pump and dump coins, scam coins.
THe price of altcoin will never be stable because people are buying altcoins for trades. And ofcourse if an altcoins moreover with low volume, the price would be so agile because many people are buying it just for sell it with higher price. So i think it's almost impossbile for altcoin to having a stable price except USDT and other similiar coins based on fiat currency
That's right, therefore, sometimes people experience huge losses on altcoin so that the perception that altcoin is bad is born. I think it needs a broader discussion to measure and judge the good or bad of an altcoin.

But it becomes one of the benchmarks to know the good or bad of an altcoin. If you consider that the price of altcoin is falling because of the effects of a bad market, isn't this a sign that altcoin is really less desirable? the logic is that if altcoin is good, then the price must have soared.

We need to see a growth in the altcoins but we need quality over quantity, as one project can grow and become a billion dollar company so there's no need for a project that are not ambitious enough to grow big in the long run.
In short, we need a reliable project that could help solve some problem in the space and will survive even with this struggle we re facing now.
I agree to this statement. Not all altcoins are bad but because of the quantity of unsuccessful and scam altcoins, the reputation is bad. We really need a reliable project as you have said that could be our only hope that will make a 180 degrees to turn everything into posiitive one. We need to see a growth in the altcoins but we need quality over quantity, as one project can grow and become a billion dollar company so there's no need for a project that are not ambitious enough to grow big in the long run.

Most of the Altcoins don't live up to expectations. Most of them turn into failures while some has been able to recover and not making any progress. Most atlcoins including major alts like eth, xrp etc are just following in the market flow of bitcoin.
Maybe there are some people who buy actually some no value coins or maybe they joined on crypto in present. They didn't experience the year 2017 where almost all altcoins was good.
The question is why do some people generalize all Altcoins as bad? considering there are over 3000 of them out there. One would not have the time to go through each project one by one. to analyze the project. team etc everything behind each crypto project.
There has to be some project out there under good intentions. Not all projects could be a scam. I admit I only have a top 4 i consider when it comes to best coins. But yet many should be decent at least honest projects out there. Afterall we do need more projects. more quality projects out there in order for crypto to succeed.

Not all altcoins are really bad. The only reason why a lot of people hate altcoins because not all of them doesn't have any potential to have a good price in the future, that is why i only invest in top altcoins in the market because it is the only coins are worth to invest with my money.There has to be some project out there under good intentions. Not all projects could be a scam. I admit I only have a top 4 i consider when it comes to best coins. But yet many should be decent at least honest projects out there. Afterall we do need more projects. more quality projects out there in order for crypto to succeed.

Maybe because of bad experiences to alts in which they generally labeled alts as bad. Well we cannot deny the fact that some are bad though however they are totally necessary since they fill a certain function which bitcoin hasn't able to do. Like xrp, bat, ethereum and the others. Nevertheless, we cannot eradicate such feeling towards them.
Altcoins are always considered secondary to bitcoin and that is true in many aspects. The real problem with altcoins is that they are usually full on scams. There are many projects in altcoins which in the beginning appeared so interesting and when people start investing, it turns out to be a scam. People have basically trust issues with altcoins and that is why they are reluctant to invest in them blindly. 
even you yourself have also realized that there are only a few altcoins that are worth investing in tens of thousands of coins out there. You can also see that most altcoin projects fail, prices don't develop, and some don't have trading volume. I personally do not want to take high risks, so I prefer investing with real coins like BTC and some of the top altcoins, ETH, EOS, BNB.
You invest in ETH and BNB although you cannot be sure of their success. then I ask you a question: Why don't you look for other coins? Find coins with less capitalization but greater potential and a good team, and these investments will be better than investing in those coins that you are talking about. of course, you MUST hold 60 percent of your money in bitcoin, but the other 40 can be invested in different coins

Nobody said that all altcoins are bad, they are just not delivering profit on a falling market, with almost 70 percent of BTC dominance. Nothing strange for me, because altcoins cannot perform good returns on such a poor market.

Obviously, there is always the scope and opportunity for a good and honest crypto project in the crypto space. But scam projects are making the reputation of crypto market bad. I do not think most of the people involving in cryptocurrency regard altcoin bad. There are many good and profit-generating altcoins out there in the market like ETH, BNB etc.
I personally think why many people consider that altcoin is bad maybe because they have invested in altcoin and they cannot make a profit from the coin or you can say they cannot look for opportunities to make a profit from the coin and when they fail and try again the same way and then get a loss back or can be said often they have failed in investing in altcoin which then makes people think that all altcoin is bad.
I believe that when one is saying all altcoin, they actually mean, majority of the altcoin in the market would end up to be a scam project. From the stand point of a bounty hunter, you'll find out that over 80% of the tokens you earn as a bounty hunter are worthless. This shows the amount of projects that are actually relevant in the cryptocurrency space.
That's right, if we pull in percentage, it's almost 80% of projects in cryptocurrency are useless or scam, that's what is now an assessment of everyone that all altcoins are bad, but if we analyze in detail, there is also a really good altcoin They say all altcoins is bad , but i think this is reffering to new altcoins in ICO/IEO that comes in the market because some altcoins are shitcoins, deadcoin, no volume, ponzi scheme only and many more that investor lose money so they call them bad. And i think not all altcoins are bad like reputable altcoins now like ethereum, litecoins and many others.
I also think that altcoin which is considered bad is the new altcoin that is becoming shitcoin. because most new altcoins do not provide benefits and also don't last long on the market, so the assumption of altcoins is bad even though what makes it worse is new coins because I believe that there are still profitable altcoins Jump to:
