I agree with your answer. Why bother with new projects that are growing by leaps and bounds, promise mountains of gold and always look the same.
Real projects themselves speak about themselves, because the cryptocurrency community is very developed and always sees really worthwhile projects.
If you are interested in investing, then focus on existing projects.

Truly generalizing that all altcoins are bad is totally wrong I believe anyone saying such might have participated in bad projects which dealt with him thus the generalization. There are many altcoins which are good even though they aren't among the top altcoins, the team within these altcoins are working hard and their community is seeing the results as well, there are many of them out there it only takes good research to point them out. Also, if one is skeptical on the type of coin to hold, starting with top altcoins is also good.

I agree. Not all projects that offer new sets of Altcoins are bad because there are still good and reliable as well as legible projects out there. Let us not generalized that all Altcoins are bad just because of the recent happenings that involves most projects that turns out to be scam or a failure. There are still decent projects that have good intentions and aim and are just waiting to be discovered and noticed. But because people tend to be afraid because of such generalization, most potential and good Altcoins are being affected and suffering which turns out to be failing even if they have such good ideas and aim to help people specially for the sake of the bounty hunters out there. If we keep this wrong mindset, we can turn out to be killing those potential Altcoins. We must delete the past and just let it be a moral lesson to be careful and mindful to be observant and check if such project we join is legible or not. There are good projects out there that are just waiting to be observed so we must not put bad generalization about Altcoins because if there is bad Altcoins, there are still good Altcoins. We must not enclose and embody that all Altcoins are bad because they are not.

As far as I know, all of us here or majority believed that not all altcoins are bad in the market. Because if it is true cryptocurrency won't survive in the market just like what we saw it right now. `It means, crypto to anyone are giving earnings in different ways it can be in the campaign project, mining or doing trade in the platform.

its only happen on shit project with unclear roadmap or product for their ecosystem. many altcoin projects as speculation projects that might be the developers team want to take money from investors, and oddly enough investors want to speculate too. they thinking someday will take alot profit after listing in market and dev team able to create FOMO.

With more than 5000 altcoins on the market, it's only natural that only a few can survive. Investors will definitely prefer altcoin which has great liquidity and this makes most altcoins do not have good performance in the market other than not having a clear product roadmap.

Only one reason that crossed my mind: Because people who think that have ever suffered a loss or bad experience with altcoin chosen. In fact, there are a lot of potential altcoins that are very profitable, assuming the top ten coinmarketcaps deserve that title. So it is not fair if it is generalized and equated with new coins or tokens which have not been proven to be of quality that are even made with just playing without a clear purpose.

The majority of bad words of altcoin comes from those who were choosing the wrong project. This is a common thing when those who are getting profit will give a good review about altcoin while at the same time those are suffering the lost will give a bad review. This is something that can't be argued as totally depends on the personal experience.

experience can not be fooled, but sometimes we are out of luck, because analysis is not always true. therefore the way to address something is the main goal. many projects that seem good, but ultimately fraud too. of course the scamer makes the project case as well as possible to attract investors

Crypto has so much given loads of people loads of things to look at and so much analysis to look into when the talk of crypto and altcoins in particular comes up, you first consider the money involved and how its going to be invested before or after returns. Altcoins are always not seen as great investment project assets just because the ideas behind the projects are not properly communicated. It will make things look like altcoins aren’t actually good but in reality, I do not consider altcoins as bad.

If you can take time going deeper and properly investigate with projects that you are eyeing to invest both your money and your time, the chance of
getting good outcome still possible. Alts are bad to those who thinks that this industry is the quick passage to gain easy money, the realities behind
this business always needs to have great educational background, learning the principles and wisely playing with every market movements are very
important to become successful and see the benefits and not just the bad things or the risky part of this business.

Some altcoins already gained their reputation when it comes to the market so meaning to say not ALL altcoins are bad, maybe some people will say it, it is because they are fed up with scam projects or maybe dead projects who didn't deliver their platform in a given timeframe but there are some that are still hidden that is about to be discovered once they made a difference.

I guess you have answered your question in a way. Generalization does not mean definitely that every entity fits that description but my little knowledge of statistics we can make a conclusion by just studying a sample of the population. That does not mean every entity fits our description but it's likely that most of them are. hence most altcions turn out to be worthless after raising of funds.

It is not required to create more crypto for it to become successful, having those legit coins out there is enough to say that crypto was booming. The problem is that there are a lot of projects created that doesn't give a real value that is why a lot of them fails. Also, if it has no supporters or there are no people patronizing it, it will probably fail because it lacks on the adoption. Maybe if the coin or alts are good enough and it generates a lot of users it will surely become successful.

People are saying most of the alts are bad, but I think it is not the fault of altcoin, actually it is their own fault, they are too much lazy for doing proper analysis before investing.
As an investor, if you want to make profit, you'll have to have the minimum analyzing skills of when where and in which coin to invest in.

Not all but most of them are bad.

I'm not a total bitcoin maximalist but a very close to being one so I see maybe 1 of every 100 altcoins as important to the economy and able to achieve something. The other 99/100 are just not needed and they copy and repeat the ideas from other projects with a small twist like a different mining algorithm. This is only done to make more money from people who weren't able to mine the original and think they can succeed with the newest clone.

It is not that all altcoins are bad but how will you define when you have 90% of them being trash. People will literarily regard them as being bad. About analyzing a project, I discovered that many of them are just repetition of an already existing project with little or no addition of new features and this is exactly where the problem comes from and I begin to wonder what exactly they all intend to achieve. There were sometimes that I do believe some dev always look for a project that has history of raising good money from ICO and they will also launch similar project.
