But the evidence so far seems to be that we all die. So, if there wasn't a need for people to die, God wouldn't have kicked us out of the Garden, to keep us from eating of the fruit of the Tree of Life, and living forever because of it.

Genesis 1:1,2:

In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters.

There is the answer to time and space, right in the first 2 verses of the Bible. If you don't understand how it is saying time and space, go back to school. Or at least read on in Genesis for some hints.
