I think ico can be very profitable if there is a very good team so many people take advantage of the situation to get a big profit by doing fraud.
In 2017 the price of cryptos went high so ICO investment also become very popular and millions of money poured into new projects so whcih get attracts many scammers to do the same thing by creating fake site and fake team just because they also want to make that millions in easier way.
Indeed. Because of the popularity of ICOs last 2017 scammers got an idea to go with the flow and launch the same projects and scam the investors. They take advantage the hype of ICOs to gain money.Currently we are in bearish trend and its hard for the ICOs to reach even their soft cap. I think when bull run occur then thats the time we can see the return of new projects offering something. Just be careful and dont invest without doing a background check.

I can be sure that 97% of ICO projects are fraudulent and it is difficult for new projects to survive because people are frustrated with waiting and there is no accuracy in investment. I think ICO will soon be replaced and it is happening at this time when the IEO is being talked about more by people and it will soon make the ICO a garbage dump. What happened was that the scam was done by the scammers to take the investments into the ICOs from the new investors, this is why they did pre ICO with low values to make them think of getting the best bargains.

2018 was a bad year for the crypto market. In the chaos environment fraudsters emerged. Scam projects have produced a lot of people who have lost hope. And a lot of them got the money and disappeared. The longer the bear season, the more likely it is likely that the scam will increase.

I see a lot of topic regarding the status of icos right now my opinion regarding this issue is because of market down that effect the status of icos.

Since cryptocurrency is not regulated at this moment, the developers of the team can scam anybody who invests in their project if they want to. Aside from this reason, another reason is the team didn't collect enough funds to fuel up their project ending up scamming people instead of giving back the money to the investors.

because last year fraudsters saw a great opportunity to be able to get a lot of money easily from ICO. this is the importance of good security and selection to hold ICO projects so that in the future ICO can be trusted by investors and no such frauds again.

Because it's so easy to make a project and an ICO, just make a similar project and pay some bounty managers to handle the ann thread, telegram group, bounty etc like amazix, bountyhive, bountysuite.When the ICO start and some investor invest on the project, they can just run and scam.

Isn't that obvious? People keep buying on scam ICOs though this part is being take advantage by people who knows a lot about coding and smart contract. It is so easy to devised or make a fake, ICO use some professionals profile and paste it on the web. Now they have some ICO running on an acting. Photoshop can be useful on creating blockchain photo event. Isnt that hard to do it especially for people with skills. Be careful on what you investing or do a thorough review first.

Year 2017,attracts many people for making quick money on crypto currency so they were turned out to be scammers because it is the only way to get rich quicker.
Since the market goes down we meet some ico's that being scammed but not we are facing some success and waiting that many the market recovers to avoid loss price of tokens before it get listed in some exchanges.
Towards the end of end of 2017 the numbers of active ICO was in their hundred and most of them are scam ICO and even ICO that does not have any working product on ground all they deed is to take investors found and run away, that continued through out 2018 and to make thing worst the market falls greatly in the year 2018 that also contributed to the discouragements of those investors who where traps in this period.
