The cost of bitcoin is quite understandable. This is the very first cryptocurrency around which a lot of attention. This cryptocurrency is invested the most, so bitcoin has the highest capitalization. And according to the rules of the market, the more demand, and more buy a coin, the more expensive it is in price. And in addition, bitcoin is more mined miners compared to other cryptocurrencies.
from my point of view, Bitcoin as a whole the crypto industry. Therefore all investments in it. And the fact that you can go through BTC. And with it becomes a new idea that is supported by everyone. They start to mine and buy and thus lead to High Question Questions. Do not wait anymore, and make the price go up, let bitcoin more famous and higher.
Not really actually, bitcoin could be replace when there is a coin who has better technology and widely known by peoples. Why bitcoin price so high because its the most wanted coin.

One obvious reasons is that it is the first digital coin. For almost 10 years of Bitcoin's existence, it has accumulated a huge market cap which is one factor of it's high price. Im new in crypto and have a question (a stupid one).. I never really gave it much though and now i wonder.

Other coins like Ethereum were created along the path which was paved by Bitcoin. Good thing about alts is that they gave competition among all coins which makes the market active. For me, more options, more chances for better profit.

The most important reason for Bitcoins price is the limited supply. Limited supply create higher demand. Higher demand brings the price up.

The price of bitcoin is volatile and it interacts with the news regarding cryptocurrency. As i observe right now if there is a negative news specially in the social media, we could expect a decrease in the price of bitcoin. Im new in crypto and have a question (a stupid one).. I think it has to do with the fact that the supply is relatively low and more importantly, the entire crypto infrastructure is built with BTC and ETH at its core. To buy on exchanges, participate in ICOs and buy services, you'll need either ETH or BTC. So naturally these 2 coins dominate.
