Mostly just to make money I think, so easy to create a coin on the Ethereum network now that there's a low barrier to entry.
There are so many coins, but many of them just a copy of anothers. Why they waste their time for nothing? 
It is hard to create your own coin you will still need funds and investors are very vigilant they will recognize if your coin just a copy by reading whitepaper 
Each token reflects the financial policies of its own company. It's like stocks, each company has its own shares. When creating tokens, the team initially plans the assignment of its token.
Maybe they want a piece of the pie. They would like to earn more and also to contribute more in this industry. Also, they would like to jump into the bandwagon while it is still hot.
There can be just two reasons why individuals are making their own particular monetary standards. The first might be that they need to put in to hone a portion of their thoughts in regards to digital forms of money. The second reason can be these individuals are attempting to con the clueless crypto-speculators, by requesting that they put resources into their cash.
people are trying to create promising products and therefore issue coins to Finance their project. recently, there have been many scams that just want to collect our money and do nothing.
Firstly, they want to earn quick money. Secondly, they want to change the world to a better place. Imagine the if you coin is making a wave in the business. Definitely, you would understand how you will be full of yourself.

Its not a waste of time at all. Coins were created for the exact same reasons they created new projects.
The idea is to develop its own coin so people will buy that coin to avail the product or the services they want.
Some of them have a good idea and serious project, so the main target is to develop good product poweres by coin, some of them just scam... and some of them just want to make money on ICO and thats it
it has multiple reasons. it's like the gold rush era in cryptos, there are a lot of money circulating in the market and everybody wants a part of it, so even without any experience or proper idea, many people try to squeeze money from this market
Everyone who creates his own token wants to create something new and improved. Therefore, they create new tokens and hope that they will not be cheap
Because market is not profitabile like earlier.

Reasons vary from person to person. Some want to finance their projects, other wants to make quick money.
From what I'm watching lately, there is enough market space for all, including the eBTC
Why do people do anything? Of course, to change the world for the better. Not everyone is covered by such a rush, but those who create a new cryptocurrency, think so. I have not heard of more than one project that would be created only for profit, and was successful. In a case like this, you always have to be a little enthusiastic. I think you should understand. This is the desire to make human payments safer and life more colorful. It's nice to help people, isn't it? And if you are paid for it, so it is generally "beauty", if I may say so.
Because everyone is looking for a way to make money on cryptocurrency.They want to make a quick buck, but they do almost nothing.
Because such ICO projects are very profitable. You can create a project and spend your ICO, it will certainly take a lot of time and money, but as a result you can get much more.
nothing waste from making unbiased coin if it was marketing campaign rarely and gain consider from the network. It has motive one in every of it's miles non-public, then for challenge and for finance of some organization. It just base on attempt to gain there needs.

Next time, when you find these garbage projects, don't overlook it, once you have gathered enough prove to sentence to court, label them scam, report to the moderators and you have done a your part , cast the fake ICO to the entire crypto community.
most people just create coins and name it whatever they wish to. most of the coins we see mostly in airdrop campaigns has no backed up project. some of them use it to scam investors.
Why do people do anything? Because they can and to make money!
