Because if you invest in solid projects, you can make x2, x5 or maybe even more in the short term. With popular coins like Bitcoin, Ethereum etc. it's almost impossible to make x5 for example (in the short term).

I see that ICOS that don't organize bounty campaign are successful
I look at it first when investing.

Quite weird criterion, so you think a project will be succesful if it doesn't organize a bounty?

Why people invest in ICO when it is risky and these days most of the coins are dropping. Do you think ICOs are going to survive for a long time?
ICO existed before the advent of crypto-currency, people invested in placed shares. With the advent of crypto currency, nothing radically changed. Any investments with a high percentage of expected growth are risky, a person must determine for himself the risk-to-reward ratio.

because with invest in ICO, we can make the biggest profit in the future but this does not always work for us especially if we cannot choose a good ICO. there are too many ICO right now and sometimes it makes us confuse to choose but if we can read all details about each of ICO and we can get some guidance, then I think we can find one or two ICO that will bring a good profit in the future. and we can also invest a big money if the project is really good enough and could give a good proof that will get success in a long run.
The number of ICOs has grown so much that they started using very similar names. Recently I came across two projects that have almost identical names, these are Morpheus Network and Morpheus Labs. It seems to me that almost identical names are used to confuse potential investors.  Cheesy
Guess that some of them will eventually rebranding their project's name. Also not only the name of the project that's sometimes seems so similar but also the ticker. Some of project even need to change the ticker before releasing the ERC20 token because it's already taken by someone else.
Just this reflect how much the ICO market has grown and it's really a hell of a growth.

I invest in the most promising ICO in my opinion. it's Lympo. it is the only one in the world with such functionality when you can sell your achievements in sports. You asked. I answered. Don't need my post to be construed as advertising

Yes it is risky, but you need not to risk a lot of money, and in case if the ICO will turn into coin, you will get benefit anyway. But you should choose right ICO to have more chances, besides I would suggest to invest in several ICOs - you should take into account idea of the project, experience of team, whether the ICO company had other project previously and staff like this. I would suggest to visit IcoGuide.com, you will find out all useful info, and it easy to compare.

Investors are expecting a return of their investments that 's why they are still investing on ico even if it involves a risk but investors should invest on a solid project

it depends on the market conditions really, as we can see recently we didn’t have any ICO mooning in the last 2months since the market crashed:

many ICO of great project are available at ICO price on exchange like Medicalchain or Origintrail and so on 😅

Some major reasons to invest in ICO:

It helps you feel like a VC – an early stage investor and gives u a level playing field. I always feel like Tim Draper whever I participate in a ICO.

It gives me immense sense of achievement to fund a good project changing the crypto scene

Some ICO can be really profitable like 10x . Return like this can not be seen anywhere.

PS always be very sure that you are investing what you can lose.

Why people invest in ICO when it is risky and these days most of the coins are dropping. Do you think ICOs are going to survive for a long time?

There are two major points here. The first one is that many are joining ICOs because they do not want to get some promising coins late. They want to take the opportunity as early as possible. There are several perks of joining an ICO. Aside from the fact that they will be receiving some discounts plus some additional bonuses, almost all ICOs are offering income-generation structures to their investors. The second point is about ICO lasting for a long while. It is still one of the best ways to raise funds.

There is risk in every investment. As we all know, high risk often comes with high reward, hence investing in ICOs is still a hot option. Like participating in IPOs, smart investors would always do their research. Perhaps you can start with checking the teams behind the ICOS you are interested in or reading their white papers.

Why people invest in ICO when it is risky and these days most of the coins are dropping. Do you think ICOs are going to survive for a long time?

The main purpose of investing is to expect something in return later on. People invested on ICO's because no doubt that it will really give an interesting return in the future. Any investments is risky that's why if you not understand how ICO projects goes well then better not to invest.

Will ICO's be here actively all the time ? Well as long as crypto world is showing good support from the community, there will be more ICO's around that will popped out every now and then.
of course, there will be many ICOs emerging. Surely this shows that ICO does not recede.
And every investment must have certain risks, like what you say.
Thank you guys, for explanation. More confident of course with the existence of ICO for a better future

How about showing interest and investing in ICOs that have already gained ground and doing great over a long period of time, that just only need to expand their capital base, and makes new ICOs sweetened and thrilling to fascinate investors the more? I won't deceive you, more than expected investors shall participate, if not for any other thing else but for the Goodwill it has built over a long existence period of time. A good Instance is Ethereum.
