It impossible if bitcoin will be replaced by altcoin, bitcoin is pioneer and most successful. Altcoin has many constraints to beat bitcoin, for example many merchants are more receptive to bitcoin. But, maybe it could happen if bitcoin investors switch everything to altcoin.

It is, at the very least, strange to believe that Bitcoin either will or won't be replaced by another cryptocurrency. On the one hand, at the moment is going strong, so why should be replaced? On the other hand, it has already, let's say, forked into 2, so no one can give a guarantee of it remaining stable in the future. Devoting oneself to Bitcoin implies living in the present moment.

In order for the cryptocurrency space to thrive, it would be most suitable if there were multiple coins at the top and not just one (as currently Bitcoin is).

Currently, and in the near future, I believe this is absolutely impossible. The other altcoins and cryptocurrencies out there have nowhere as much popularity when compared to bitcoins. There is certainly very less adoption and for them to surpass bitcoin, a lot, and I do mean A LOT of people need to start using one cryptocurrency at once, to make it surpass Bitcoin, but it wont happen anytime soon as the kind of trust the bitcoin community has made upon bitcoin takes a lot of time to make and it can't be replicated anytime soon.

One time Bitcoin is also a dream. Did you imagine ever the price of the bitcoin will reach this much high? I think no one will imagine. If any one put trust and imagine means that time only they will buy and collect more coins. Now they will become millionaires. Like that who knows which coin will take the sudden rise and replace Bitcoin in future.
I still think yes, it cost to much to produce a bit coin and as difficulty goes up and more mining power is required it will work out that it costs more to mine than its worth. It has shitty transaction times and now cost more than any other fiat payment to process. This is still in the infant years, another Crypto will become main stream as a payment process. BTC is out of date and out of touch as what it was meant to be.

I think the Bitcoin is the foundation of all cryptocurrency that exist currently. Developers can make potential virtual currencies but I think it is impossible to replace the First and the widely used and supported Bitcoin.

It is becoming famous all over the globe due to its extraordinary features such as volatility, security, easy and remote access etc. It is the fundamental digital currency and has no present replacement in the market.
Bitcoin is really getting old. But it is for this reason we see in this year's changes. This is the rejuvenation and the response to the competition from other altcoins. Hope that these changes are for the better. Mincoin will not die, but it will be upgraded further.

I am agree with the statement that the developer have created many cryptocurrencies and are now surviving in the exchanges but it has not yet gotten the position and maturity to overcome the bitcoin and defeat bitcoin in the market because bitcoin is the mother currency of cryptocurrencies. I think replacing of bitcoin by another cryptocurrency will be a lame assumption. 
We can not tell how the future unfolds but the bitcoin market seems ready for expansion as we can tell from the fast rising value which hints demand is high and people are not showing so much interest for other altcoins. To be honest this will really take a long time before a bitcoin replacement is even found for now bitcoin lives on

Many big BitCoin owners I know are now taking their money out of BitCoins and purchasing silver. Silver 1oz coins are a favorite, as are 10oz and 100oz bars. Today silver hit 17.00 per oz. It is heading to $25.00 per ounce and many believe that 100.00 to 200.00 is not out of the question, in the near future.

no way the bitcoin can be replaced, it is too big to fail. There are too many big guys in it now.
Correct whales have too much invested in bitcoin to let it fail, in fact I think this is why we finally got segwit activated, people began to realize that ETH was getting awfully close to bitcoin in the market cap and that is why everyone said, hey we need to something about it and that is why segwit has finally been approved and we can move forward with a bitcoin that is even stronger.yet, the party is not over and when this will continue to happen it's hard to see it being replace by another crypto currency although they
have a chance though.
