There is no reason why ETH or any other coin will pass ever BTC that remains the first and only true king of cryptos.

I do not think you have any reason or you have no idea about crypto if you had then you could not say that it will pass bitcoin by January 2019. It won't happen.Ethereum is a good coin and the community loves it but thinking that it will pass BTC is a dream.

Its hard to say that because bitcoin is too good on that position. Well, I’m just happy for ETH to be back on second position and I don’t even think for a top spot. Of course the ethereum price will rise and reach very high values. But bitcoin will continue to be the best and biggest for a very long time. Maybe in a few years ethereum can become the best coin, I do not think it will be in 2019

Ethereum is one of the better cryptos in the market. But i don't think ethereum can pass bitcoin this year. Bitcoin will still remain on top as the number one coin in the market. And i think there is no crypto that can surpass bitcoin for a long time.

ETH is not going to pass BTC anytime now or in the future. BTC supply is much lower and capped but ETH is not. BTC is a special coin that no one else can replace.
Bitcoin will not be replaced. because bitcoin is the main thing for the cryptocurrency market and certainly will not be replaced. so ethereum won't replace it

Bitcoin I believe is used widely than ethereum and the focus for cryptovurrency as a whopecis bitcoin. The basic economic and design bitcoin does explain the present and future value of bitcoin as bitcoin has a limited supply and it is design to he scarce currency. Ethereum however is five times of bitcoin in supppy and ethereum is not used as much as bitcoin for trwnsactions everyday!
For the Ethereum project, 2019 is very important, because implementation of various protocols is planned for the first quarter of this year, which increase its stability, but I do not think that these events will be enough for Ethereum to overtake Bitcoin by capitalization. It seems to me that this will not happen within the next year.
This was a main discussion in 2018 also.But I still don't see Ethereum can go pass Bitcoin as a POW. Ripple can easily claim the no.02 Spot for a long term if the technology of Eth fails to get improved. Anyway Bitcoin will still be the real King for this year also.

Even due Ethereum is the most trusted platform by most altcoins and ICOs to support their projects still crypto users will choose Bitcoin as top of all crypto investments as Bitcoin already build a deep foundation of trust among Cryto users as the most promising and most potential to make our money grow.

I'm definitely sure that the OP is talking about the market price. So it's obvious that the answer will be NO because of the big difference in the current price (three digit for Ethereum) so it will take a lot of money to even get to four digits, so there's no way for Ethereum to pass bitcoin not even in the next 2-3 years.
As for the speed per transaction, no doubt that it's much faster than bitcoin because it is based on smart contracts and the network is not always clogged.
