Hard to predict in crypto world. As many governments trying to regulate the market and a lot of FUD recently about scams ICOs. I think 2018 will change a bit, by having more quality, valuable and less projects compare to what we've seen in 2017 quantity and mixed quality.
I don't think they will die but they could potentially get over saturated. I expect we'll see a lot of false promises and high hopes being burst, thus devaluing the projected prospect of the ICOs.
I don't think so. What I see is government will now take charge to control or regulate ICOs to their country to avoid scam or fraud to the investors. Because many are taking advantage of it since no law has been passed regarding scam.
I personally don't think it will ever completely go away. I don't really see that being possible. But I do believe it's only a matter of time before it becomes more stringent on quality over quantity. Currently, quantity is running rampant for ICOs.
I don't think so, as long as there is a want for altcoins and new people investing, ICOs will continue. I think they will have to evolve to make them safer for potential investors but I think they will stick around.

I think that in the future the ico projects are not going anywhere. It is not just fashion but a new convenient form of financing of various projects .
As long as there are new projects coming out, and money to be made from ICOs it will continue. Just like any other market really.

Most people especially whales in crypto are into ICO investment as it can give a lot of profit. also, ICO is one of the best things to have to make BITCOIN and ETHEREUM busy in the market trade.

I don't understand, why should ICO die? There will always be new projects. Now it is very easy to find them. ICO is about ideas and innovations so I think there is no chance idea will die.
I don't think that the ICO will end in 2018, ICO is the place where many people get their good profit, ICO will stay alive in this year.
Why should they die? I hope not, because they are trying to change something in this world, to help us( the people), with different product, project, vision. Yes, there are a lot of scammers, which are looking only for the people money, and for them there are going to be more regulations, starting from now. Many of you think that regulations is a bad thing, but without them we are like in a jungle, everybody doing what he wants, stealing what he wants. That needs to be stopped, and i hope in the future, everything to be safe.

ICO has an awesome future and it is not going to end easy, it will grow more with time as many people are still getting involved. ICO of trusted projects has already delivered giant returns as soon available on exchange. As many people are getting involved, very soon ICO will became more popular. It may be of great risk but making investment on well known ICO is the smarter way to make quick money.
ICO can trust or distrust is up to you discussion , because ICO team can specify all members and history before they pre-sell tokens if you fear to scammers just don't buy.
I am sure that in 2018 ICO will not die. But maybe there will be much less number and they will become better. The society has already learned how to distinguish good projects from a scam. At least it looks like that...

ICO will not die this year. The developers will not abandon such an effective way of raising funds. Also, investors will not want to stop investing in the hope of making a profit. ICOs will develop. The only thing that can stop their development, it is prohibitive actions on the part of countries' government
The opposite is happening to ico the rate at which new icos are being launched is showing that it won't die in 2018. More money will be pumped into it this year.
The blockchain technology is just gaining traction. We are not even close to utilising it to the fullest potential. More uses can be only discovered by promising ICO, so i don't think they will die. We need good ICOs a lot in the moment.
