In my opinion, we will see even more projects, there will be even more scammers on the market. I think an ICO will never die. This is the best way to raise money for a good project.

Nope, because it will only take one to two days before 2018 and still ICO are booming. Some ICOs will end next year, one to two months from now, and I guess new ICOs will start. I believe ICOs are getting development every month because of the users.

Nope. I think ICOs wont die, instead they will likely to be regulated as mass adoption approaches. It is just the normal scenario that despite of maasice scamming happen in ICO start-up, people likely to evolve in terms of knowledge and capability to distinguish between fishy ICO and legit ones. It is just a reflection, normal reaction of how people survive, a.k.a Survival of the fittest.

In the end, ICO bringing solution to real world will never die.

I don't see any reason ICO will die in 2018.
Sure, we have to admit there are some problems with ICO, which has raised concerns among government.
Still there are many good projects out there

ICO causes more and more distrust - thanks to the scammers. At this point, companies that produce and sell tokens are more focused on the product. The product is being developed and improved. And all before the token sale.

The fact is: those companies that enter the token market with a readymade product are more trustworthy. Now, few people are interested in a company that launches ICO just to make a name and earn a lot of money.

ICO is a serious campaign. It requires great resources and professionalism.

There are many companies on this path. Recently, Pavel Durov announced the creation of a light wallet and the release of the Gram token on the Telegram platform. Here is another example - KickCity, a company that has existed for two years. KickCity is engaged in the development of the event industry and issues a KCY token for further expansion of the company.

Of course not, maybe by 2018 most of the  upcoming ico I think will get even more better than before in terms of the quality of their project.
It won't die at all because there are lot of traders got their earnings in the ico project and ico bounty campaign.

In my opinion, ICO is only a scam for most of the time, and currently lacks supervision, so there will be a bubble, but when the bubble bursts, prices of all altcoin will plummet.

I think ICO will still exist in 2018. all altcoin always use ICO as a place of development. some ICOs on a bounty campaign project will also end this year and some continue until 2018.

In 2018, there will be more ICO, where you need to confirm your identity. Also, some states will introduce regulation of ICO on their territory.

Anyone would like the scalmer ICO to die in 2018. And everyone would invest money only in good projects and did not lose their investments. Because dirty scamers did not even give out the currency to buyers or the price after ICO fell to the ground and the developers declared themselves bankrupt. But this will not happen, unfortunately. There will be less of them, even now the trend is such that people more cleverly and deliberately invest their money. If the scammers do not get a big profit, they will leave the market themselves.

You will be asking this questions in 2023 as well, believe me. ICO is a good strategy and it has good investment opportunities. It will continue spreading. There might be some government issues, of course, but similar situations happened at past. All issues are solved.

I like your way of thoughts and I think so too. It's just another level of fundraising. I guess there will be governments' attempts to stop ICOs, but they won't be able to do that. The new economy is coming.

yes it may but we all know that government can stop what they wanted to stop but as long as this may not harm there is no reason to stop it yes there is  a lot of scammers but it may prevented for just be careful and always do some research.

we can only watch and wait what will happen in the next year because the government will apply some regulations for the ico so the ico cannot scam people. besides that, if the ico is really serious about the project, I think the dev and the team will obey the government and will cooperate with the government. I guess the ico will increase one new level in the next year.

I do not believe ICOS will totally die as there are many people who do not mine or are programmers to create coins and new technology. Without investors, the altcoin and Bitcoin markets would be dead, so we need investment and different places to invest so the capital can flow to and from the cryptocurrency markets. I do believe though that ICOS may be more heavily regulated from country to country and some places like the U.S and China who banned ICOS are making it very hard for their citizens to enter this investment class.

Yes there are a lot of garbage ICO. But disappear completely, no, I do not think so. Ideas are born, projects are being created, of course there will be new ICOs. In order for the scammers to disappear, people themselves should not give them money. Do not invest in suspicious projects, if you doubt even 1%, do not invest. If there will be a regulation and control over ICO, then there will be fewer scammers, too.

My guess is that the ICO in 2018 will move to a new level. The volume of projects will be increased. Moreover, I suppose that in 2018 BNT Strat Neo will launch their ICO Cool

I think ico is a good way to raise money for a project. Risky? Yes, as crypto also has risk in itself. Still, if you gain experience, talk to specialist friend, you can have good chance. It will not die. Not in 2018.

I read somewhere in this forum a "study report" says the following :
ICO number will be extremely reduced ( concluding from one side , that 2017 was the golden age of these projects , and from a second side , it's considerably hard to reach the same  expansion achieved in 2017 )
Instead of ICOs, 2018 will be the year of forks ( around 1k forks are waiting to be lighten next year )

ICO will not die in 2018 but will continue to flourish.  ICO's is a healthy competition for all alternative coins.  Just like IPO (Initial Public Offering) in the stock exchange, ICO's has a strong growth potential that must be regulated to address the problems that are encountered.  As quoted below:

Bitcoin friendly Philippines according to Bloomberg, the central bank chief directly pointed to the “strong growth potential in the space” acknowledged by local companies looking to ‘facilitate ICOs’ as trading platforms to ‘act as a central counterparty for trade in the related tokens’. The central bank is in discussions with Philippines’ Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) to plan strategies to oversee ICOs, Espenilla further revealed. SEC commissioner Ephyro Amatong confirmed the authority is “concerned about possible unlicensed investment-taking activity or otherwise selling of investment contracts in the guide of so-called cryptocurrencies via a so-caleld initial coin offering.”
