ICOs as we know it at the moment will die or will have to change/evolve into better funding solutions
My estimation was it wouldn't die and it didn't die. It got much bigger than 2017 as I can follow, even the year hasn't finished yet.
ICO kraze may not end permanently but will definitely slow down. The FOMO is settling down and only the real good projects with good intention survive. We have to find niche among the niche.
I accept the fact that most ICOs are scam. But the crypto world needs the ICO sector. The ICO means the possibility of earning high profits in a short time. I'm investing in ICO projects. ICO market is over saturated! 2018 might bring some sought of regulation to ICO and the manner in which funds were been raised.

It doesn't seem to me that ICO will ever die. It seems more clear that cryptocurrencies will continue its successful development and ICO will stay as the popular instrument of collecting money.
After I observed ico in 2017 and 2018, the facts proved that in 2018 there were so many ICOs who ran away investors' money and no Bounty hunters were paid, I personally as an investor and bounty hunter were more careful to choose the ICO project in 2018. I do not accuse all ICO projects this year there are only a few fraudsters who seek opportunities in this good year.
I have another opinion. Yes, now we have a lot of scam ICO, but they collect less and less money day by day. So this year will be last year of scam ICO. Very soon regulators will come to our market.

No they will live very long because it is very beneficial for the creators of the project they do not have any reason to stop doing it

ICOs are scams and people do not buy. When companies only improve this aspect, they will surely succeed like the others. People also have to be patient and support it wholeheartedly.
