Of course, it is possible for some coin to surpass Bitcoin but it is very unlike to happen. In my opinion, if something could surpass Bitcoin then it would have to be one of the currently existing cryptocurrencies. I am not a fan of ICOs, a lot of people believe that the coin they select will grow in value the same as Bitcoin did. Bitcoin will continue to expand and become faster which will lead to a huge grown in its popularity. Some of you will probably disagree with me. If you do, please show me the cryptocurrency which could beat Bitcoin in your opinion.
Nothing is impossible, any other coins can take over bitcoin in the future if they will step up. even though bitcoin is the foundation and very reason why alt coin does exist, we all know that nothing is permanent in this world. Somewhere in the future, one of the coin or might upcoming coins will left bitcoin in the dust.
But bitcoin have huuge marketing emotional value, in this world it is more important than technology behind it. It will be very hard to change that without solid revolution.
I'm sure in the future have other coin will beat bitcoin, and in my opinion who will be able to beat bitcoin is Ethereum, therefore I always invest my money in Ethereum because I believe in the future Ethereum price will be very high and will beat Bitcoin.

I do not think that some kind of coin will beat Bitcoin. Everything is attached to bitcoin now, and no matter how much they say that the transactions are going for a long time, and there is big commission, it’s still more and more gaining popularity. For some reason, on TV news people are discussing about bitcoin only, not about the other coins.
You must research first the background, team and whitepaper of the ICOs which you prefer to invest with because no one know if it will be succeed in the future but if it is a good ICOs then it surely success.

Perhaps you mean the investing in different COINS? ICO is a something like IPO, but the company sells their tokens (usually ERC20 on Ethereum), not their shares.

We can not say but according to the current market scenario. I don't see any coin has potential to beat bitcoin in near future but we can not predict the future and we should be concerned only for the present not for the future and investing in ICOs can be a good idea but do not expect too much from ICOs everything takes time to become strong/demanding in the market.

It is very possible that at some point in the future, an altcoin will surpass Bitcoin in market cap. However, there are thousands of coins/tokens/ico’s out there and most of them will fail. Don’t just randomly invest in new ico’s expecting them to be the next big thing. Do a lot of research into these coins befor putting you hard-earned money into them because you could lose it.
