Governments will always want to know how much you are earning so that they milk you like crazy through their taxes. The only good thing is that most governments currently do not recognize bitcoin as a form of currency. But with the rate at which bitcoin is gaining popularity, I know for sure they will recognize it and will start following individuals wanting to know how much they are making so that they tax them

True, it is basically the Government will follow the development of most people there be. because the Government depends on taxes charged by any person residing in the neighborhood. And this would be a great advantage for us

no! i will not allow goverment to look into my real wallet so why would i let them do that with my btc wallets.
well i guess you have no chance of choosing to allow governments check your bank fiat wallets as in my opinion they can do it easily all the time and that is a really bad thing in my opinion

i would definitely not allow my country government to check through my wallet in my opinion because in my opinion then they would have more info about me and i like anonymity

I guess, this can't be done, as it will not truly serve the true purpose of bitcoin, I guess this crypto currency is designed as it is as anonymous and nothing could ever controlled it, and if the government will intervene then bitcoin will now become a puppetry banks same as others and would start people hating it.

In the coming days when the government will legalize bitcoin and puts up regulatory rules and policies on the use of bitcoins it is a prerogative of the government to monitor the bitcoin transactions as well as your bitcoin wallet. For how many years bitcoin has been operating outside the hands of the government and many illegal operations especially in the black market is taking place without being traced. This coming events may be helpful to the stability of bitcoins in its operation and security.

Hell no. If they force me to give them access, Ill give them a fake one with a little bit of BTC inside and use a hidden real one. I'm not against taxes because that's how our highways are built and schools are funded, but the government having control over our wallets is not about taxes. It's about freedom.

I don't think I'd like to allow the government to look into my wallets at all because I think that's just an invasion of privacy. You can actually partially know a person's wealth if they look at our bitcoin wallets. I wouldn't mind if they looked at my bitcoin wallet just as long as they don't know that I own it.

I think people are shifting to bitcoins because they want freedom from governments to stop peeping in their savings and avoid unnecessary taxes etc.
So we do not want the government to take control of this bitcoins.

What I am doing with my Bitcoin and where I am keeping it is my own business. Isn't this the whole purpose of Bitcoin in the first place? For people to be free of government watchdogs looking over your every step and spying on you every single day? But I guess Bitcoin getting legalized will mean getting it centralized as well and then unfortunately the government will have the legal right to audit your private Bitcoin wallets for tax purposes. But until then we can still enjoy our privacy or whatever is left of it...
Bitcoins are supposed to be private and can never be centralized by a particular government. I wouldn't allow the governments to look into my bitcoin wallets. Even though if bitcoins are legalized government won't be able to access everyone's bitcoin wallet.  People can maintain their privacy.

I think the question of "allowing" the government to look into your bitcoin wallets is moot. If they wanted to, I'm sure they can get access to all of anyone's bitcoin wallets and bitcoin dealings and transactions. And to cover their asses, all they would have to do is play the Homeland Security card to rationalize/justify their snooping in on anyone's private business.

I don't think there is something really bad with the Government having an ability to do it. And, by the way, why should it bother looking in someone's wallet? Only if there is a huge sum of money there and I think in this case the government will try to look at it anyway

How can it be wrong, they have they right to do it since they need to tax it. Sure nobody likes taxes but if's determined by law they can do it,so there is not much we can do expect hide it. which is off course illegal and may get you en dup in jail. I know it feels wrong buy they we live in a world where everything is taxed. If it was possible governments would also tax air.

They are not welcome to have a look in mine. If i make crazy profits then I'll pay my taxes. Other than that no.
well to be honest either way you will have to pay your taxes or you would then have to face some trouble with law as it doesnt depend on how much money you earn

i wouldnt allow the government to check my bitcoin wallet, even though they can do that with banks im pretty sure bitcoin is really great that it does not allow such things happening in my opinion

Maybe you aren't aware but there's this thing called the blockchain... Maybe you should Google that. I'm pretty sure anyone anywhere ever will know what's in any wallet at any given time.

Bitcoins have the amazing property of decentralization and anonymity. If government will intervene it will have both positive as well negative impacts on this cryptocurrency. It will be more or less fiat. Then there will not be much difference between both.
Bitcoin has it decentralization that makes it different from others currencies, if government act to regulate it will mean mainstream, we would be regulated our income would has a tax to pay the same way people has to pay with fiat. At my vision if they come to regulate bitcoin would be good, if they just come to tax or take control of the coins for sure no one would allow them to take a look into any portfolio.

Privacy is always important
I think it is impossible. bitcoin users will do a massive protest. the government does not have the authority. because bitcoin is independent and bitcoin is a transparent thing.
Well i heard government will involve in bitcoin and more security and rules and regualtion will increase for bitcoin here in my country.
Yeah we need to protest if it will happen. because we are choosing bitcoin because its anonymous but the problem is in some coutnries bitcoin is restricted..

Why should i? Sure no, goverment can control their own currency and other proceses in theri country but bitcoin is something like a stealth currency for goverment.
