Totally actually really be that situational since not all people would really be able to have that kind of experience on having that one of the members of the family do the things that you are
also doing on which having some discussion or talks about it would really be bringing out that kind of bonding even if you are really that seeing your mom or someone who do the same.
As long you make yourself that responsible together one of those members of the family then it should be just fine. Its none of our business if they would be having those likes
and having that preference on doing gambling. One thing that could make you worry is on the time that they do become impulsive but you should assure yourself first that  you arent
the ones who would really be messing up first. lol

In some cultures, it is morally unacceptable for women especially the elderly to gamble. Gambling is seen as a male field hence women are restricted from engaging in it. Most women who gamble do that secretly. It is common to see women sending their brothers or even children to go and stake games on their behalf because it is highly unacceptable to see a female gambler in offline casinos. However, the introduction of online casinos has really helped these female gamblers to gamble secretly.

I will not be comfortable seeing my mother or elder sister gambling based on our environment. It will be an embarrassing situation based on some cultural and religious beliefs. Don't blame me for my position, our society has different roles assigned to different sex. The mothers are seen as role models that should focus on raising children and these kids learn more from mothers. So it will be better to leave gambling for fathers, young men, and women but mothers shouldn't gamble openly. They can do it secretly so that their underaged children will not copy them.

It could be that she has been gambling for a long period of time, but this very day that the picture was taken is different. Judging from the picture, it took her time for them to decide if she should go and give it a try or not, which could be as a result of the kind of financial situation she is in at that moment, and the only way she thinks she can solve that problem is by using any means necessary to double the money.
 
And if she chooses to play the aviator game, which is one of the fastest ways to either lose all your money or make more money in a very short time, then she might be confused right now because the game did not go as planned.
 
Gambling is free for everyone, and she has the right to gamble, but if I'm to meet her in such a state, I will have to talk to her, as we never can tell what she is passing through, and she will need someone to talk to, which could help her leave her burdens, not by proving financial help, but given that, a listening ear alone can go a long way.

I don't mind if my mom gamble provided it doesn't affect or prevent her from doing other things she should be doing with her life. Why will I prevent her from doing something that I am doing. It will be fun discussing and analyzing match statistics with my mother, not everyone will get such a feeling in their entire life.

Before you could see this it is assumed she has been doing this for long even before getting to this stage of life, well to me it means nothing or I don't see any crime in gambling except for the fact that she looks very exhaustive showing her bad side of the gambling attitude.

I bet you that if she was making profits there will be no day anyone will judge her rather her fellow women would loved to join her to be making same prediction, currently it looks so abominable why because of her current outlook and situation at hand maybe who knows if she was on a win people could have surrounded her wanting her to share game with them.

Let us not conclude whatever we might see from afar without knowing what the real case could be.

If you look at the picture he seems to be playing lottery games in a gambling house so maybe it is because of economic pressure that might make him become a gambler like that, I am sure he is not happy in buying that lottery ticket because he hopes to win and get a lot of money, if that happens to him. My mother, the first thing maybe I will remind her to focus more on enjoying life and I work to make her happy.

Moreover, in the picture, if he has a child who is successful and rich, the mother will not go to a gambling house, just buy a lottery ticket and hope to win, that is the job of a child, it is supposed to earn money to make the mother happy so that she doesn't play gambling and pamper her at home to have fun together. family, but if my mother still wants to gamble I will definitely limit her budget and introduce her to online sites rather than offline ones like that.  

From the image, it seems like she was patiently waiting for others who were there before her; she waited for them to finish their own prediction and gambling, sitting at a place and watching them before she later moved over to the canter to start her own prediction.
 
After a long stand of eh, cut me 1, let me try again till she finally ends up losing all that she came in with to the gambling shop. That was when she realised that she had made a big mistake that day, which shows how frustrated she is as she stands there like that.
 
Seeing someone like that in a gambling shop will definitely raise an eyebrow, but then again, she is just a normal gambler like all of us. What makes it different is the age and gender, which are uncommon to find in a physical gambling shop, but aside from that, we are all there for the same thing, and I would not judge her for her actions.

Going by your words "dedicated gambler", nobody would want such thing for their mother, I can agree or give my support to my mother if she gambles seasonally, but wanting to dedicated her entire time into gambling is a NO NO for me. Gambling is for both genders, I've seen some ladies that are good predictors, and they leave a very mentally stable lifestyle with everyone Around them, so apparently I will give my support to my mother if she gambles responsibly.

If it was my grandpa or father I would have just linked their gambling habit to probably the fact that they loved sports in their youthful years and that led to them still gambling – but for a woman, it’s not common to see them in sports center not to talk of them going to betting agents to place bets, I believe that 99% of em’ ladies that are into gambling are there majorly for the gain and one way or the other they got addicted (just like the old lady in Op).

Like, the post you quoted above stated, since they’re are of old age it’s more likely that they can come down with some sort of illness like blood pressure unlike youths or younger people that can easily get through losing their money – some old people find it difficult to let go of their money, imagine that kind of person losing to a game they bet to. To me I won’t allow her gamble, I’ll try as much as possible to talk her out of it. Yeah, I know it’s not an easy thing to do but I’ll still do my best.

Why should I not be comfortable if she is gambling responsibly. But I will prefer she should do it online instead of offline using betting agent. Because as I saw that image, that is a betting agent shop and I will not like to see my mother there. This is because in my country, only young guys are common in such a place and that would be an embarrassment for my mother and me. But if it is online that she is doing it, I will not be worried at all if she is gambling responsibly.

A woman (elderly) was spotted in a gambling shop seriously making predictions on virtual gaming and with the way she plays it appears that she has been gambling for a long time now. But what really caught people's attention after spending much time gambling for that day  was her reaction which expresses frustration and disappointment from someone that must have lost a pool of cash to unfavourable gambling prediction's for the day. There are places where it's  normal and a regular thing seeing elderly women gambling in a gamble shop but in this part of the world it is uncommon and for that it seems weird seeing such an elderly woman seriously gambling and that's why many persons are pondering about her engagement in betting.

However, I want to know as forum members from different parts of the world your thought's towards this based on your environmental perspective towards gambling irrespective of whosoever is involved be it young or elderly in as much as the individual is of gambling age.

Lastly, will you feel comfortable or worried knowing that your mother is a dedicated gambler; and if you feel worried are you worried that she may be losing a pool of cash or your worried because you fear for her health as gamblers can get negative emotions when losing money.
