Imo having two seperate wagering competitions won't be any different unless there would be rules. Other gamblers who could wager a lot could join both contests leaving no chances for those who can't wager at least 1 btc. They could always join the weekly promotion in their forum if they struggle to win something from these wagering contest. If there would be another contest just for small gamblers it needs to be something different like rankings would be based on points depending on the type of bets (betids+roll+multiplier etc).

Even the 0.18BTC is a staggering amount that I believe not many people are comfortable taking the leap of fate on, especially when things are about to improve. For people with low balances this is always an issue, there's always that element of putting in all you got (bad idea btw) in the hope you'd at least come on the 10th place but lets be honest these races are purely competitive and the chances are that there are other people out there that could easily out-wager you.
Thus, most of these races are pre-selective for those players affording to go in with that little bit more - it's a shame really, as the poorer players can't afford these races - so I wonder whether it may be worth thinking of two races with different wagering amounts to allow the little guys a fair chance too?

The next contest will surely attract many gamblers and I expect a very big wagering volume during the contest. 0.4 BTC only for 3 days is a very big amount comparing to other contests I've ever seen in other gambling websites.

That is why I suggest a weekend long version of this, starts at Friday night (exactly midnight to Saturday) and ends at Sunday midnight, EVERY week instead of irregular periods of time.
I think they will finally conduct the contests regularly at specific days and specific duration. The first contest was conducted from Monday to Thursday, the second one and third were conducted from Wednesday to Saturday. For the fourth contest, they changed the duration.
They are testing different kinds of contests.
I suppose more ordered conducts would be better received as people would get to learn the routine
Either way having contests at least once/week will bring huge traffic in comparison to having none. Good idea to test out different contests durations, strategies etc it would be a great test run, which would complement the project well.

As a small player, I would prefer to choose the 24 hour contest than the 3 days contest because logically there are more competitors for us if the contest is running for several days.

Yet we get to see yoloer win the first competition (rodolman was 20th at that point) than we got to see yoloer winning the second one with "only" 10 while rodolman moved to first spot and on third one rodolman finally took the crown and yoloer came in second, so rodolman won this one too even tho it was a short one but yoloer is nowhere to be found. He is not even in the top 10 list. Although the prize pool has been reduced significantly, compared to that for previous contest, I think the winners from the top 8 have profited more this time than previously. As we can see, the prizes for them were greater than 1% of the wagered amount. I know that one might lose more or even win something while wagering a certain amount(we should ask the contestants what really happened to them), but on average you should expect losing around 1% on a site with 1% house edge.
Basically they did not reduce the prize pool but it is like they divided the contest. Previously there was 0.3btc for 3 days long contest, lastly it was 0.1btc for 24 hours so it will be the same if they do the 0.1btc contest daily. As a small player, I would prefer to choose the 24 hour contest than the 3 days contest because logically there are more competitors for us if the contest is running for several days.

Attractive or not is subjective, some people prefer to join one day contest and some other people prefer the 3 days contest.
This is exactly what Windice was testing. Which kind of contest (1-day or 3-day) gamblers are interested in. Now it seems that a 3-day contest can attract more gamblers. I know that it's normal that wagering volume is always changing. But that's what statistics say.

You need to see the fact that not all gamblers are wagering every single day. This affects to number of wagered amount during the contest.
Lets say they did another 3 days contest but the wagered amount is lower than the 3rd contest, it is common thing in any wagering contest where there is no guarantees that the wagered amount will always increase in every contest/round. I think he wants a manager for communication purposes since he's saying that feedbacks weren't being taken in to consideration. Darewaller is probably used to community managers being more engaged to their users but not all managers will always be like that. They can't always please everyone just because they didn't listen doesn't mean its bad. They might have their own plans and want to do that before going with the community suggestions. For me I don't think a manager is needed since there's always changes being made and if that doesn't work out they could just move on with another one until they get the right changes.
