1. Gambling
2. Trading and site closed and runaway all investor money
3. Not exchange to fiat when BTC reach $ 1100

Imagine you would have exchanged at 1100. @mtgox....

maybe it was ok not to sell.

disclaimer: didn't sell myself, searching for excuses i guess...  Wink

Not investing when it was $50/BTC. I thought the process of registrering to exchange sites was hard.

Leaving some coins on Mintpal for trading... Don't think I'll ever see them again.

Wait patiently, there is still hope..

Yeah, Moolah did say in his blog that he's manually reviewing all accounts to make sure he won't send money to the accounts which commited fraud.

But I'm not sure how trustworthy he is.

Biggest mistake I ever made with bitcoin was hearing about it back in 2011 and thinking it was a dumb fad. Cry

Bought some gold with BTC then realized.....wtf am I going to do with this gold? No retailer will take it online or in store....essentially it's only property that I can use is its "store of value" to hopefully get more of some currency in the future. I would definitely sell it to get my btc back.

That shouldn't work out too poorly for you, so long as you can be long on gold. I am pretty confident that it will go up long term just like BTC. Better to have both like you currently do

I wanted to buy some more this last time we were at $275. That was like the first time since last November that prices were that low. I had already bought more than I planned on buying, so I didn't end up getting more...

Margin trading. Goodbye 8 btc
Wait what, what did you specifically do? thats nuts. I cant make 8 BTC. How could you make it then lose it?

Went long in June on Margin with 8 BTC. Got margin called while I was asleep. Also waste 3 BTC on Doge at it's peak and watched it lose 90% of value. Sold right before it took off again. FML! Now I just hold.

worst decision ever made was definitely using hard earned bitcoins from farming with video cards to buy BFL units that took a year and didn't make back ROI before I had to unplug them because they were useless

I started mining in 2011, I stopped mining in 2011 after half an hour.   Expected to get a bitcoin right away, too much hassle to setup.

Sending to email addresses is something paypal allows (even for non users) as should bitcoin, by that measure it still has a way to go.  Not that am saying its ok to give up like I did but you can correlate product success to ease of use and so I dont think bitcoin is nearly stupid proof enough and so I think higher price is possible or greater market cap at least

Oh I've made quite a few BIG mistakes when dealing with Bitcoin:
1.  Downloading Bitcoin client in 2010 and trying to send to an email address...then saying FUCK it.  I didn't take another good look at Bitcoin until late 2012.
2.  Spending 103-106.6 BTC on a Batch 3 Avalon from Yifu Guo (I STILL SHOULD FILE A LAW-SUIT AGAINST HIM.)
3.  Icarus FPGA trade-ins (16 BTC down the drain)  again to Yifu Guo
4.  Letting my friend run my GPU mine (he didn't take it seriously and machines would be down for days).

In retrospect, there were many obstacles or issues when getting into Bitcoin.  I've even received ransom emails by malicious people.

On the other-hand, the experience was quite rewarding:
-I created a very successful business
-I paid off all my debt
-I am on a track of entrepreneurship and enlightenment

All in all...a very unique and valuable life experience.

Very interesting story; the real frustrating thing is when you make a lot of money and lost/spend it all and then you don't make this kind of money anymore

If you changed your life for the better because of Bitcoin it is huge; of course it would have been better if you could have make the best out of it by being more concentrated on it and less careless
