I myself would have refused such a gift, but most of my friends don't want to meet bitcoin. They do not perceive what cannot be touched. I think that for them such a gift will have no value. It will still be that monkey to give the microwave.

I think the bitcoin is very secure, it depends on how you keep your bitcoins because there are so many wallets for bitcoin like wallets online and cold or you own private keys

Yes, why not ? In fact giving Bitcoin as a wedding gift is an awesome idea to spread the word even more about Bitcoin, and let other people, families know more about it and starting using and trading it.
And we have to remember that Bitcoin is money, so giving it as gift is just like giving other currencies.

Definitely, I can give bitcoin as a wedding gift if the person is a bitcoin user.

It doesnt matter if they are aware of Bitcoin or not, it will be a cool way to promote and introduce any crypto currency. I have given some of my waves to my friend on his birthday and he was quite happy to know about it.

Plus, imagine if someone gave you something on your wedding day that pretty much constantly went up in value! Money just gets spent, but if you give someone BTC they could feasibly retire off of it. That's a pretty good wedding present.

Sad to say, no. I will never give bitcoin as a gift. Wedding is one of the most unforgettable moment you will ever had in your life. So I guess, a gift should be something special. It should be unforgettable too. It should have a sentimental value. A gift that if you hold it or only see it, you will remember that big event of your life. If you give bitcoin as a gift, it is just like giving money or cheque and I think it's not that cool.

It is just being realistic and true to yourself.  I also would not gift bitcoin as bitcoin is so precious to me.  Maybe just give them gift that is remarkable that would become memorable to the couple.  Anyways, if the couple do not know or have knowledge of bitcoin, they will not appreciate it.  So I will just keep my bitcoins and let its value become double. Yes, giving bitcoin as a wedding gift is a brilliant and unique idea. My friend who has introduced bitcoin to me will soon get married, and it seems like I will realize the idea. Thank you for inspiring

Isn’t that something? Bitcoin can be made into as a wedding gift. It is becoming more and more like money as the years go by that we can give easily and casually. But if I’m asked right now if I would give it as gift, I’d say no. Maybe Tupperware or a coffee machine but bitcoin? No. I’m struggling as it is to earn bitcoin right now and I can’t afford to give it away as a gift. I see no profit in it. Maybe in a couple of years, when I’m hopefully have Bitcoins to spare to give as a gift, maybe then.  Grin

I recently got married and I would have loved to get bitcoin as a gift! I do agree that most people probably wouldn't know what to do with bitcoin if they got it. Maybe the real present would be some bitcoin and a lesson on what it is and how to use it?

I prefer giving cash or gifts to newlyweds rather than bitcoin...why? Because there are still people who don't know bitcoin and they might not appreciate it...it will juat go to waste if they don't know how to used bitcoin...

No sorry for that but my bitcoin is precious to me.  I will give a good amount of money or maybe getting them a trip for honeymoon.  And when they asked where I got my money there I would say about the bitcoin.  Maybe I could encourage them to try it.  If I would give bitcoin as a gift and they do not know anything about bitcoin, perhaps they will not much appreciate it.

Agree with you bitcoin is very valuable and it is impossible to divide it for wedding gifts, I will also give a gift of paper money for his honeymoon for easy use
Yes, you’ve got a point. How can someone be sending a bitcoin to newly wedded couples that doesn’t even know anything about Bitcoin? Please that doesn’t sound wise, I better give them money. They might not value. But whether they value it or not, I still choose to give them money than Bitcoin.

It's very weird if the bitcoins are the best gifts Bitcoins are money mean money is your gift?
But we can not say because other people have different look at bitcoins. It can be gold or whatever else it's money for me
But we have our own perspective so I respect it.

Some tech-savvy wedding-goers are gifting the digital currency to new couples. Honeyfund, a honeymoon registry that allows guests to give cash rather than gifts, has seen more than a dozen customers donate in bitcoin, said chief executive officer and co-founder Sara Margulis. In recent years, more than a dozen customers have chosen to route donations to the site from bitcoin wallets. Zola, a wedding registry website, has had just two cash funds created for bitcoins since 2013, a spokeswoman said. "I would expect it to pop more as millennials come into the wedding age,” Honeyfund’s Margulis said. “It’s something you will do if your friends and family are already into bitcoin.

Bitcoin as an retirement plan, bitcoin to secure the future of your kids, and now bitcoin as a wedding gift. Whether or not bitcoin replaces cash in future, it looks like the trend of gifting bitcoin instead of cash at weddings is definitely going to catch up and more wedding registeries would be adding bitcoin as a gifting option.

Avoid using a wedding gift "as an opportunity to proselytize a technology you personally believe in, but the recipient could not care less about."

People who are not into bitcoin might not appreciate getting a volatile currency as a gift, and might never use it, thus adding it to the list of lost coins, but I think people who are already using bitcoin or would most probably use it in future then bitcoin instead of cash is the apt wedding gift for them.

Im not sure about it, For me its a no. Giving bitcoin as a wedding gift is like giving a money, it's not meaningful. Wedding is an important occasion by two lovers vow to spend their lives together in marriage. We should give a valuable things with an effort to give them on their wedding for them to appreciate much. Wedding is just a one time celebration, we should make it special.

Maybe on future you use bitcoin as gift to wedding or give bitcoin to some person that use bitcoin either groom or bride.

I think in coming days it is going to be an option for giving Bitcoins to married people as a gift but people should accept it.
The demand for Bitcoin is kept increasing so people who are aware of Bitcoin will surely accept Bitcoin as their Wedding gift.

I can see this happening in coming years, bitcoin is a good idea as a wedding gift and I think its very practical. I have attended plenty of weddings and the couple prefer to receive cash for their wedding instead of things because we all know that starting a little family is not easy so they need more cash than things.
