The crypto market has an high level of volatility, anyone who is about to make an investment need to have a good understanding of the volatile market. Now the question is even with the volatility will you still choose crypto over fiat when it comes to making investments?
To withstand this volatility and protect capital, any investor must have sufficient experience, risk management, and deal with technical and fundamental analyses to determine the correct time to buy and sell. Beginners who lack adequate experience and knowledge can keep fiat money until they gain enough experience and a good understanding of the market. Or that they initially invest an amount in Bitcoin that they can afford to lose, even if we assume $100, which is sufficient. There is no doubt that investing in cryptocurrencies, specifically Bitcoin, the most reliable currency on the market, is better than fiat money for many reasons, including the vast profits that any investor can reap in the long term. Even placing fiat money in banks or investing it in any business will be useless compared to Bitcoin returns, which have no limits and are significantly superior.

And huge losses.
Crypto trading is similar to any other forex trade. Leverage goes both ways.
You want to invest and loose all go ahead.

If you invest with loses in mind you need to go the road of real estate, Metals, etc..
I understand you anyways real estate is a good investment but you need to understand that it’s not everyone that loss while investing in crypto.
What you need to know is that all investments have risks and that cannot be avoided. For me, Bitcoin is still the best investment choice compared to real estate.

The difference is huge because real estate is not fungible, meaning if you choose poorly, you could end up in failure or a money hole. Unlike Bitcoin, it is fungible, meaning that one Bitcoin is the same as another Bitcoin in all respects. Real estate is the most visible asset you can own, so if the government wants to tax you more, they can raise property taxes. Worse yet, they could simply stop it.

I've invested in altcoins but the results have not been too good. For now the ones that I'm holding unto are ETH and monero. But bitcoin is the real deal and if you can buy and hold long term, your investment is certainly going to yield good results.
Bitcoin is the right deal for long term investments, because history has shown consistent results along the years, while with altcoins the scenario is pretty unstable, as an outstanding altcoin today which is on top 10 rank of crypto market may fall considerable to top 50 or 100 positions after few years. Meanwhile, we have the assurance Bitcoin will be still performing on top 1, unbeaten by any of its pairs.

That is the comparison between Bitcoin and altcoins, but when we compare Bitcoin to fiat, the advantages for Bitcoin are even more impressive, as no fiat currencies show positive results on long term, as they are easily devalued by inflation. Even investments in fiat currency have shown negative profitability against inflation, therefore it should be completely avoided. If someone is willing to invest in something else besides Bitcoin, they should look for lands, properties or assets, but never fiat!

Hello @Bitcoinpoly, you don't need to reply the individual posters of your thread the way you did because the mod would see it as spam and merged all replies as one. Next time, just qoute and reply to all users in a single post.
There isn't next time, just @Bitcoinpomy merge all your replies in 1 post otherwise you will get flagged by users here.. It isn't two successive posts to just alert OP but 5 successive posts..

Back to the question: I made here https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/snipies-gambling-investment-test-5254959 a real and quite long experience about investment in Bitcoin and posted each week or so the real price in USD and mentioned in some posts the variations of the price...etc
It might help people to get a better idea about investing with cryptocurrencies.
For investment in FIAT, we all know that the funds will increase but inflation will increase too and it is about which one will increase more. For example, a 5% ROI with 10% inflation = loss even if the funds increased because simply you pay much to buy the same product. In cryptocurrencies there is an additional factory that's the price rise comparing to FIAT that will determine the most your gain.

This is equally another good reason why we should rather invest in crypto than fiat. May I know if you have any particular form of investment you’re currently into within the crypto space apart from holding stable coins and BTC?

Currently one of the problems of people right now is inflation, if you make an investment in the banks or the fiat currency the price of your asset might get lower due to it, in cryptocurrency you are getting a ride with the market volatility, and your asset has a chance to gain profit or to lose depends on the price action movement, still an ideal move is to invest in asset that possibly giving a good cashflow so you don't need to get worried with your fiat or even in crypto. Only the time frame, price and the risk matters here.
We all need to understand that fiat devalues over time, therefore crypto investment has high potential of yielding good profit than fiat bank investments, you just have to do a proper research and understand the market, also take advantage of some exchanges with good APR in order to earn while you’re still holding your investments.

Poor economic policies has made my local fiat to be losing its value against the US dollars, and two weeks ago the Nigerian naira fell to the lowest level ever. Judging from the body language of the current administration, I'm not convinced enough that the policies they've mapped out can revive the naira. For that reason, I choose to have more of my savings in cryptocurrency (preferably stablecoins and Bitcoin). This will give me the opportunity to sell at the current exchange rate whenever I've need for cash since the value of naira is steadily declining.

This is equally another good reason why we should rather invest in crypto than fiat. May I know if you have any particular form of investment you’re currently into within the crypto space apart from holding stable coins and BTC?

Investment in cryptocurrency will be profitable and there is no need to make investment in fiat because its a type of saving not investment. But we can also not agreed with the thoughts that all cryptocurrency is good for investment because there are lots of coins arised which did not give any reward to its holders but diminish after collecting money from large number of individuals.

Bitcoin is the first priority in crypto market which is suitable option for investment and there are also lots of other coins like Ethereum and BNB which can provide you an increased outcome. If one person hold successful crypto coin and other person hold fiat then crypto holders will be benefited in future but fiat holder will not gain much benefit as it does not increase in worth.
Regardless of the ones you’re investing on you still need to have a good understanding of what you’re into and also you should try to choose a good exchange where you will make your investments.

of course yes. i prefer crypto compared to fiat for my investments. with crypto i can get an roi that is tens of times higher than what fiat offers. after all, what can you gain by holding fiat and making it your investment? its value may decrease along with the economy, while crypto you can see how it has grown significantly in recent years and investing in crypto is much more promising.

Great 👍🏼, which of the crypto investments did you have currently?

Investment in crypto indeed needs to have a good understanding of the market's volatility. Aside from that, there are things to consider and understand, like investing in crypto can give you high returns while supporting the future of technology (its function), the mechanism of the exchange system in crypto, or those basic needs, especially including the way on how to secure your investment. Most people here know that. And I can say that I prefer investing in crypto, though you didn't specify what kind of investment you compare crypto in terms of Fiat. However, if it's in real estate, I would rather invest in both.

I like your point here, everyone investing in crypto need to DYOR and have a good understanding of the volatile market.

Payment Gateway Allows Recurring Payments
This is a good side, obviously we all know there are lots of profits in crypto investments than fiat investments in banks. All we just need to do is to invest at the right time.
Indeed, we have to invest at the right time, but one could also say that if we get to know that the time is right then why would we not gamble at that time and make quick and easy money which we might not make in crypto? So, in simple words, we cannot time the market, but we can take measurements according to our analysis and can minimize our risk.

Risk management is full of different techniques to take pre-cautions while investing money but we can also take pre-cautions at gambling.

What I was trying to say here is, that we cannot do technical and fundamental analysis in gambling but we can do that in Crypto, in simple words, we don't have gambling charts, or past data on which we can perform our strategies to get something useful to be used in future for more profits.

Did you mean you rather have an establishment where your many is working regularly to generate profit? Crypto investment is one of the best alternatives though. Mostly when the volatility is on the advantage side it’s definitely going to bring huge profits.

Depending what I plan.
At the moment FIAT is way better,  as Advertisement, and such are not really paid in Bitcoin.

We are getting into bull market and you are saying fiat is way better? What advertisement payments got to do with Bitcoin? Mind you, we are here talking about investments.

I’m sure he doesn’t just understand what we’re talking about, seriously even without the bull run I still make up to 7% APR interest on my holdings with Bitget shark fin and as BTC rise my assets are equally increasing, whereas most of my fiat investments in banks doesn’t get up to even 5% interest rate. I’m sure some people are still yet to invest in crypto because they’ve got too much confidence in fiat which is already failing most people now.

Definitely crypto. because if we hold our money in fiat then it will inflation and decrease value but if we hold our money in crypto then it can give us a good profit in long term holding. so if your question is about investment then my answer is i will invest my 30% money in crypto and 50% in different business 10% is gold and another 10% is fiat money for Daily expenses and emergency needed because every country have specific fiat money for country based regular using so we have to hold fiat to expenses

Buddy, we’re basically talking about investment and it has nothing to do with advertisement payment. Fiat investment does not yield much profit in compare to crypto and also the rate at which some countries fiat get devalued is really bad, it’s just better to invest in crypto. Regardless you also have to DYOR and do your due diligence because the crypto market is volatile but it can be to your advantage when you have good understanding of the crypto market.

Investing in cryptocurrencies, despite their inherent volatility, offers unique advantages in today's financial landscape. While the traditional fiat system is stable, it often struggles to keep pace with rapidly changing economic realities. Cryptocurrencies, on the other hand, have shown tremendous potential for growth and innovation.

Crypto investments have the potential for substantial gains, outstripping traditional financial instruments. The decentralization of cryptocurrencies reduces the control of central authorities, making them less susceptible to manipulation and inflation.

Moreover, cryptocurrencies can provide accessibility to financial services for the unbanked and underbanked, fostering financial inclusion globally. Blockchain technology, the backbone of most cryptocurrencies, offers transparency and security, mitigating fraud and enhancing trust.

Though the crypto market is volatile, it rewards those who research and diversify their portfolios wisely. Consider your risk tolerance and invest responsibly. Cryptocurrencies offer the potential for significant returns, but due diligence and a long-term perspective are key. Ultimately, combining both fiat and crypto in your investment strategy can provide a balanced approach to hedge against market fluctuations.

Fiat devaluation is one of the major reasons why crypto has more edge ahead of fiat, also the fact that fiat investments has a little turnover when it comes to profit. Crypto investment has an high potential of yielding huge profit provided the volatility moves to your advantage. Nevertheless we need to understand that the technicalities required in crypto investment is far more than that of fiat investments. As a newbie it’s better you take your time to learn before you start any investment, newbie can also watch out for learning opportunities from top exchanges like the Bitget BlockChain4Youths program and different exchanges Academy.

Where you choose to invest your money should be determine by time factor or when to use it. I think the money you can keep in bitcoin is a money that is not needed urgently because if it's a money that needs to be used in a short time, you might run at lost or gain but more secure in USDT because it's stable. Investing in crypto is like gambling your money. If paraventure this money you gained $250 in an investment of $1500 was vise versa you lost $250 out of $1500, what would have been your perspective on bitcoin? So different people have different experience on bitcoin investment so your happy story might be a sad one to another. That is why we always say that Bitcoin investment should always be a long term investment in other not to Lost your fund.
You are right, the sentiments and emotions of humans change about a thing, whether that is a loss or a profit. If BTC made me $250+ profit, I am happy; otherwise, I would not be, but as you said, it all depends on the investment plan, and mine was to hold my funds till 2025 or the next ATH (of course I don't know when the next ATH will be, but at least I can be prepared for it). And about using money in the short term, BTC can be used for short-term purposes, but that is not how things work. If you have $1500 in BTC, it does not mean that you have no other funds in fiat. That's why you should not keep all your savings or capital in one form.

I have said so many times that emergency funds are necessary, even if you think the situation is not bad. You still have to keep some funds in case of an emergency. Investing in crypto is not like gambling, and I did not gamble my money. If I had gambled, then I would not have said that ATH is coming, and it will come till 2025, because in gambling we cannot do analysis like we can in crypto investment (holding or trading).
This is a good side, obviously we all know there are lots of profits in crypto investments than fiat investments in banks. All we just need to do is to invest at the right time.

The crypto market has an high level of volatility, anyone who is about to make an investment need to have a good understanding of the volatile market. Now the question is even with the volatility will you still choose crypto over fiat when it comes to making investments?
Making investments in crypto or fiat? Or using crypto or fiat for other investments? These are two different scenarios, in the first one, you buy a certain cryptocurrency or save money in a certain fiat currency hoping for its value to increase over time against your local currency so that you can get some profit. The second one is using either cryptocurrencies or fiat for making investments in something else, like a business or something, that will generate revenue for you.

For the first scenario, I believe cryptocurrencies, especially Bitcoin, would probably be a better choice since it's volatile and its value tends to go up from time to time and drop as well, but it eventually generates some profits for you. For the second part, I believe it's better to simply use fiat to invest in a business or something, also because cryptocurrencies can't be invested directly as they aren't widely accepted.
Your clear separation of direct crypto purchases from using crypto as a way to invest in other things is perfect. Let us make this clearer. Blockchain-based cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin and some others have seen huge gains over time, making them look like an investor's dream. Despite this, it is important to be aware of the risks, especially since the market is based on speculation. Some people see volatility as a sign of chance, but its also deceptive. Its common for big benefits to come with big risks. One idea is to diversify your assets.

And finally, using fiat currency to start traditional businesses gives you more cash and, well, fewer problems. The cryptocurrency ecosystem isnt developed enough for businesses to spend easily. To top it all off, the rules and regulations in many countries make it even harder to access. Sorting through those murky waters is almost like a pointless activity. While you're thinking about starting a business, stick with cash for now. Its generally believed for a reason.
