Your assertion is right, the only issue that a lot of people still have is that, they’re yet to build up confidence to withstand the volatility. In a situation where the market is going down and their investment is depreciating definitely they might be forced to sell at loss.

This is where the expression of strong hands comes into play. Anyone who invests must understand that it is impossible to always be in the black and expect Bitcoin to grow; corrections are bound to happen, which leaves those who understand that volatility is an integral part of Bitcoin and remain firm with their investments.

The crypto market has an high level of volatility, anyone who is about to make an investment need to have a good understanding of the volatile market. Now the question is even with the volatility will you still choose crypto over fiat when it comes to making investments?

Yes, of course, that is the beauty of cryptocurrency: its volatility. I know it is risky or dangerous, but that is what crypto is. Because of its volatile price, even for many, it is dangerous, but for crypto investors of any kind, like tafing and holder, we take advantage of the volatility of cryptocurrency.

Of course I can, because I've honed my knowledge and skills in terms of cryptocurrency. That's why I'm not afraid of the volatility. Of course, there's still risk, but of course, without risk, you will not gain. A mature and honed crypto investor will not blame the volatility of the price if they fail or lose money; the ones to blame are the investor itself, because it means that you do not have enough skill and knowledge and yet you still invest. There is a lot to invest in fiat, but I'm more into crypto currency.

Yes I choose to keep my money in crypto even with the high volatility, because of two good reasons.

1. I believe keeping my money off the centralized country and their banks is more safer for me, no one knows my worth actually not even the government, and since Bitcoin is a decentralized digital asset it really fits in my need.

2. Volatility is not my problem because to me it's more like inflation in the real world where you store you Fiat, monthly the amount is the same but it loses its value from time to time, and with Bitcoin the profit is a bigger part to look at as it's more valuable than any Fiat, your money you use to buy Bitcoin can go as high as 5x in the coming years but if keep in bank account it will remain the same.

The funny thing is banks will start using your money for businesses and investments behind your back and they are risking your money on assets that are also volatile, why not do it yourself and rip the benefits that comes with it?

That high volatility you're talking about is what attracted me to invest in bitcoin and some other shitcoins that has potential, most of the time people only talk about extreme volatility when they're only talking about the prices suddenly going down which is understandable but unfair because there's two sides to a highly volatile asset, the one which is the price suddenly going down which is always the one in the spotlight but the other one is the price suddenly going up and investing in crypto offers you that chance to be able to reap a really great profit in a matter of days or months which can never be done when you're invested in fiat inclined investments, those stuff takes a long time because the banks said so.

At the end though, they both have their own advantages, with fiat having more stability since it's backed by the government meanwhile with crypto, it can illegal in your country so there's that. I guess the choices fall upon your risk assessment, if you want to be at ease with your investment, maybe consider fiat and crypto if you're the risky kind.

The answer is YES, I would still choose crypto over fiat if it was for a long-term investment because the goal of the investment is to seek profits in addition to seeking a store of value through a particular asset. Now you can also set your own goals when you want to invest, because if you only want to choose fiat, that means you only want to save money and not make a profit. But when you want to make a profit, you have to be brave enough to take risks by choosing crypto because basically there is no profit if someone is still afraid of any risks from anything.

If by crypto you mean Bitcoin then YES but if you mean altcoins then NO. I'll rather stick with fiats as they have more security then altcoins. Atleast I know my investment (with fiats) won't just vanish one day. You can be rich in altcoins this very moment and the next thing you know, you're broke again due to the project founder performing an exit scam on we (the investors) or the market crashing and the project loses all the hype and momentum that the price can't recover again. Altcoin Investment aren't recommended as they're pure gamble and not investments.

On the other hand my investment will be preferred in Bitcoin than fiats because fiats investment get devalued over time that even when you make profits, you are still at lost due to the inflation of your local fiats. My country currency (Naira) is one of the worst out there that it's nightmare investing with it. As you're investing in Bitcoin, you don't need to bother about the volatile nature of the market as it doesn't concern you, you aren't trading so you have nothing to do with the market until you have gotten to your investment target and you need to exit the market then you sell.

Irrespective of the direction that the market takes, when you don't sell, you don't lose so just keep holding through all the volatility and you'll be fine at the end.

Your assertion is right, the only issue here is that a lot of people are yet to build up confidence to withstand the volatility. In a situation where the market is going down and their investment is depreciating definitely they might be forced to sell at loss.

The crypto market has an high level of volatility, anyone who is about to make an investment need to have a good understanding of the volatile market.
Volatility needs to be taken into account only when trading, which allows to make money in this way or when investing for a short period of time. With long-term investments, volatility at the “intermediate” stages doesn't matter at all, but only the “entry point” and “exit point” are important.

Now the question is even with the volatility will you still choose crypto over fiat when it comes to making investments?
Investing in fiat? What are you talking about? What idiot would invest in fiat? Investments will destroy these investments to zero or even worse, to a loss. Fiat has never been and never will be an investment tool. Remember this.

Now the answer to your question is easy to find. Of course, investments are only possible in cryptocurrencies, but not all of them. Because most of cryptocurrencies are even worse than fiat. These cryptocurrencies are getting cheaper and depreciate faster than inflation hits fiat. Worst of all, in the end begin to cost nothing at all. And here the opposite effect appears, that fiat turns out to be better than many cryptocurrencies. Although many such cryptocurrencies are simply called shitcoins.

You just have to DYOR before you start any investment, basically you should not just follow the crowd to make decisions.

why should we choose between these two only? and why fiat? you don't invest in fiat, investing in it makes no sense. you can invest in a lot of things like gold or real estate as the alternative to bitcoin.

as for crypto. it is silly to invest in altcoins, the only viable investment is bitcoin. altcoins are too risky and manipulated to be invested in.

This is a very good insight, I love the way this is pointing out other investments that we can venture into. Though I would still prefer crypto investment over any other investments.

The crypto market has an high level of volatility, anyone who is about to make an investment need to have a good understanding of the volatile market. Now the question is even with the volatility will you still choose crypto over fiat when it comes to making investments?
Without understanding that the volatility of the BTC market can cause us huge losses, it will be equal to gambling. We have to do proper analysis, both technical and fundamental. We have to keep an eye on the the economy because the the BTC market is mainly driven by demand and supply and positive news like some improvements or adoption by some companies or governments. An example can be taken from ETFs.

I will suggest keeping funds in cryptocurrency, but the choice of cryptocurrency also matters. That's another question: which cryptocurrency should be selected for investments? But at first, we don't have to make investments in fiat because fiat in itself is working money—physical money that we use to buy and sell things—and cannot be used to store our asset's value.

While there are many cryptocurrencies that we can use to store our assets' value, like BTC, Because if we store our money in some fiat, it will be reduced due to inflation, while if we keep our funds in the form of BTC, they will not be reduced due to inflation because BTC is a hedge against inflation.

I think it’s good to have investment in crypto currency especially BTC but you have to DYOR, there are investments in fiat just like super savings that allows you to earn up to like 3% of your investment as reward, those are equally regarded as Fiat investment. Regardless I would still choose to do such in crypto, I can hodl my asset and still make profit from it monthly base on the savings plan. It’s possible to earn up to 7% APR on your saving on Bitget shark fin product.

The crypto market has an high level of volatility, anyone who is about to make an investment need to have a good understanding of the volatile market. Now the question is even with the volatility will you still choose crypto over fiat when it comes to making investments?
I think that's pretty much it, people like many of us will choose to invest in crypto because of its volatility. Because we know that we could maximize our gains with swings of the market and from the season of the market unlike stocks or any tangible investments that needs a lot of time to appreciate its value. Bitcoin could actually soar up to $100,000 if someone, a billionaire, named Elon Musk calls long to bitcoin. Just a simple news could actually make some crypto investors a millionaire, and they, I mean we love that volatility.

But don’t forget that the volatility can also make you loose money, it is in two ways actually.

Investment in cryptocurrency will be profitable and there is no need to make investment in fiat because its a type of saving not investment. But we can also not agreed with the thoughts that all cryptocurrency is good for investment because there are lots of coins arised which did not give any reward to its holders but diminish after collecting money from large number of individuals.

Bitcoin is the first priority in crypto market which is suitable option for investment and there are also lots of other coins like Ethereum and BNB which can provide you an increased outcome. If one person hold successful crypto coin and other person hold fiat then crypto holders will be benefited in future but fiat holder will not gain much benefit as it does not increase in worth.

Well, seems like a rhetorical question, there are many things there that in themselves should not necessarily go at the same pace, first of all I think you are mentioning that you prefer to save in Fiat, that is not viable currently, inflation is a recurring in many countries and returns do not go beyond 3% at best, and inflation on average is close to 2 percentage points.  It's useful?

On the other hand, volatility is the formula that investors look for, so welcome to bitcoin, but, you must understand and gain experience, so, being an investor is a very different thing from buying bitcoin to hold.(e.g.)
You got the point actually, the whole comparison is like investing in crypto to get like 7% APR in a month just like the shark fin product of Bitget and the usual bank investments through fiat. As for me i still prefer crypto investments than that of fiat.

of course yes. i prefer crypto compared to fiat for my investments. with crypto i can get an roi that is tens of times higher than what fiat offers. after all, what can you gain by holding fiat and making it your investment? its value may decrease along with the economy, while crypto you can see how it has grown significantly in recent years and investing in crypto is much more promising.

Investment in crypto indeed needs to have a good understanding of the market's volatility. Aside from that, there are things to consider and understand, like investing in crypto can give you high returns while supporting the future of technology (its function), the mechanism of the exchange system in crypto, or those basic needs, especially including the way on how to secure your investment. Most people here know that. And I can say that I prefer investing in crypto, though you didn't specify what kind of investment you compare crypto in terms of Fiat. However, if it's in real estate, I would rather invest in both.

You have to provide more details about what you mean by cryptocurrency. Like are you comparing between Usd and BTC or USD and Doge? Because this section is only concerns about BTC not about doge or any other token.

Besides this, I will prefer to invest in BTC instead of investing in fiat. Because my friend earned $1500 and I earned $1500 few months back, he kept them in fiat I kept them in the form of BTC and now I made around $250 plus on my $1500 amount and he is not. I hope you got the answer.
Basically I’m talking about all forms of crypto investment in compare to fiat investments. Crypto investments are very risky but yet they pose high profit than fiat investments that you make in banks.

The crypto market has an high level of volatility, anyone who is about to make an investment need to have a good understanding of the volatile market. Now the question is even with the volatility will you still choose crypto over fiat when it comes to making investments?

Generally, volatility is often seen as a negative but it can also be in a positive way. The high level of volatility means that there are more opportunities for investors to make money if you can time the market correctly, you can make a lot of money in a short period of time and on the other hand, you can also lose a lot of money if you get it wrong. It's just like a double edge sword. But the truth is that, the level of volatility in the crypto market is unlike anything we've seen before. This can lead to massive gains or losses, depending on which way the market goes.

Now to answer your question, I would say it's difficult to say definitively which is the best between crypto and fiat when it comes to investment. Not that it's actually that difficult but it depends on your personal risk tolerance and investment goals. If you are looking for a safe investment, then fiat is probably the way to go but if you are willing to take on more risk in exchange for potentially higher returns, then crypto might be right for you. One thing to keep in your mind is to know that volatility can be a blessing and a curse. It can lead to huge gains and also huge losses. Some people are okay with that level of risk, while others are not comfortable with it. Decision is absolutely yours to make in that regard.

I will prefer to invest my money in BTC investment I understand very well than fiat that is control by the government which the government officials can decide what will happen next in the market, but BTC is not control by the government, and it can bull today to help investors to earn good profits and bear tomorrow to make investors to buy and wait until the price go up before they can sell again. BTC is more reliable than fiat investment in my personal research because, fiat investment use to take a long years before you can earn little money from your investment compare to BTC investment that can cause investors to earn massive profits when the price hit higher at the moment.

Now that the price of BTC has drop down little to $34k, you can test the BTC investment, and you will thank me later when the bull run take over from the bear run in the market which is the season many crypto investors are waiting for.

Yes, I prefer crypto, especially investing in Bitcoin over fiat. The profits I can get from investing in Bitcoin are much greater than in fiat. Even though there are fiat-based investment offers, the profits will not be as big as investing in Bitcoin. I have seen and compared investment offers, even investments in banks.

If you invest in Bitcoin, your investment can increase greatly. Even though there are times when the price of Bitcoin decreases, that is a process that every Bitcoin investor must go through. Later, they will see the value of their Bitcoin investment increase again.

Volatility is a part of crypto, and we have seen it often over the years. So if we are used to volatility and can even get moments in our favor, we can get additional profits. But I also keep fiat in the bank for daily needs and not as an investment.

For me if I have enough money then I'll go for crypto which is Bitcoin not on altcoins cause I know that Bitcoin can make a good thing in our life even though in long term. But still a good one the more Bitcoin you have the more profits you get. But as Of now my money is enough to sustain our Daily needs then I'll choose fiat  cause we all know that fiat is it depends on us how much we put in it even small amount or big amount. But anyways it's up to us how we manage our money cause we have different perspective in real life.

Yes, of course, I will choose cryptocurrencies instead of fiat in investing, even under conditions of extreme volatility. Fiat is very bad, unsafe, and its value is constantly declining. This is of course in addition to centralization and government control, so it is not possible to compare fiat and crypto.

But on the other hand, you must be aware that not all cryptocurrencies are good and safe for investment. Investing in crypto must be based on sufficient study and choosing the appropriate coin carefully, because investing in some cryptocurrencies is unsafe and extremely risky.

Of course, it goes without saying that Bitcoin is number one for investment, as you can invest with your eyes closed. As for the rest of the cryptocurrencies, adequate research must be done before investing in any coin.

Cryptocurrency for me because we all know the how inflation rate these days keeps increasing compared to before.
Even though the risk is far higher when you are investing in cryptocurrency compared to fiat, it's still risk. Risk: reward ratio is just high.
Since you are Bitcoin forum, for sure majority will go for cryptocurrency.

There is no doubt that the crypto market is very volatile, which is a quality that could either make or break an investment. In this landscape, fortunes are made and lost in a single day, proving the saying that high risk often leads to high gain. When investors are asked to choose between crypto and fiat, the world of decentralized assets, which is always changing, is put next to the standard fiat economy, which often stays the same.

It is very clear that no one is so stupid as to say that buying fiat is an investment. Policies and stable governments determine the worth of fiat currency, while crypto is a symbol of the libertarian dream of a financial system with fewer rules. When making a decision, one has to weigh the excitement of possible gain against the comfort of what they already know.

Fiat or Crypto? If I give the correct answer to this question in terms of the economic condition of my country, then I will say that there is no other option but crypto currency. Due to the poor condition of the banking system in our country, the general public has no confidence in keeping money in the bank. So a certain part of them are withdrawing money from banks and investing in different places. A certain portion of these investments are also going to be in cryptocurrencies. Moreover, one of the major problems with fiat currencies is inflation, which does not occur in bitcoins or cryptocurrencies.

For me it does not matter if the investment is in form of cryptocurrency specifically Bitcoin or Fiat as long as I can see the potential of an investment.  Focusing only in one industry and mode of currency will make us miss an opportunity to profit.  As matter of fact if my analysis makes crypto investment to have more risk than the fiat investment, I would rather choose the one with a lesser risk and have potential.

Diversification is another thing in investment.  It does not harm us if we have both investment in Fiat based investment like stocks, bonds, and in Crypto based projects.  What matters is that we are able to calculate risk and make a profit in our investment.
