I just got a boner from whoever bought up 11K XC all in one buy holy hell.

wish it was me! got 7.5k XC staking tough
speaking of whales, we'll call todays happy little guy "joner" (rhymes with ...), earlier today I'd been wondering about bringing fresh money into the market with which to eat up our more troublesome whale and remembered talk about exchanging fiat directly to xc but didn't remember an eta. synchronicity would have me stumble upon this today: "At 2:40 "Working on the technology to allow the purchase of XC currency directly from the mobile wallet"" ...whether it happens later than sooner, I don't know. but it made me happy all the same. and so I'm sharing.

Dan's seen both my router's ports open and my firewall exceptions to not only the program but also ports specific to the program. Correct me if I am wrong, but didn't you say it doesn't work for you either due to being on a university network? Regardless, it doesn't work for everyone and whether all the bugs are suppose to be out by 2.5 or 3.0, it should still be something to focus attention on for mass adoption. Hell, if it doesn't work on university networks, a large portion of the demographic (18-35) interested in crypto could have issues.

If it was human error, then it should have been something extremely easy to fix on any number of the remote sessions Dan and I had. The end result is private transfers do not go out to the network/nodes but regular incoming/outgoing is fine. Whether it does nothing due to having it set as unlock for staking only and entering passphrase on sends or unlocking completely before initiating and getting the error 101, it doesn't work. Dan said it definitely shouldn't be doing the 101 error.

To truly say it's working should mean works for everyone. 99% is not 100%, especially as more and more users are downloading wallets and wanting to try out features. Any regular Joe should be able to download the wallet and send anon transfers and that simply isn't the case in its current state.
Thanks

Forget these whale games on the orderbook, people are trying to get XC its very obvious.. All I do every day now is see if I have a stake and have a few price checks..

Its so obvious where this coin is going, we have a superb dev who you can see is making this project something that could make him literally world famous, he is putting everything into it.. The "attacks" we do see against us are now just laughable..

Anyone who wants to sell now, get out, buy a shit coin.. Ive never seen something in crypto more capable of delivering a long term return than this, im just sitting tight and letting the team, and may I add superb to the word team, get on with their work.

Sometime soon we will look at these prices and people will be wishing XC would "just go back sub 200k so they could get a few more"

HODL guys, buy and support the project... This is the no1 place to be in crypto without a shadow of a doubt..

Well said, this is why I don't worry about the price and don't check MP much anymore.

To commodify ethicality is to ethicise the market
Oblox you completely missed the thrust of my last post.

I'm NOT trying to open the floor to discussing your issue further.

In fact I was clarifying why your issue is not some sort of evidence that XC isn't at the stage it's supposed to be at.

The whole point is that pre-rev 2.5 these isolated issues are to expected.

So let's clarify, in the hope that you'll get the point and move on.

- XC is not claiming to be completed.

- XC's Privacy Mode is not in its final state.

-The first Rev 2 release was the initial, not final, implementation of multipath. Therefore it carries no implication that it's complete. How do you not get this?

- For XC's privacy solution to be implemented and working it is not required that it work in every scenario and for everyone. There's a large gulf between "working" and "100% working". Nobody ever gets to 100%. Nobody sane claims 100%. Even overambitious idiots would not claim 100% for a development phase that is still in progress.

We are where we want to be. Therefore you have insufficient warrant to harp on about this. Please just drop the issue, enjoy XChat, and wait like the rest of us for Rev 2 to be completed.

Oblox,

You made your point, Dan is working on it, yet you keep going on and on and on...

What more do you want... You are acting like a troll, if you are not why don't you start acting like an adult and PD the, what seems like an alleged peculiar issue with your setup with Dan instead of just throwing your toys around.

Oblox, what's your agenda?

You know full well that Privacy Mode is a Rev 2 thing, that XC's doing XChat now, and that we'll be finishing off Privacy Mode with the final Rev 2 update LATER.

So why do you persist with this?

For heaven's sake.
OK, so if privacy mode is not supposed to be working until Rev 2...what is Oblox saying Dan was going to help him with?  Huh

Rev 2 was released on 7/7/14. Dan's using Oblox to try identify whatever bug (or human error) is the culprit there.

However Rev will only be finalised (that is, all features completed and bugs sorted out) at the final Rev 2 update which is yet to come.

So Privacy Mode is working already. Just not for our insistent friend Oblox.

And this is to be expected before XC moves on from Rev 2 to Rev 2.5.

XC can be huge in the future, like massive, what you have here is like skype or viber but a currency and a store of wealth because of it's rarity, and 100% anonymous and encrypted, it's faster then BTC and more secure, the sky is the limit for prices, this is the only crypto currently on the market that has any chance to rise like BTC did, i honestly believe this can have a marketcap like skype had when it was sold that was around the 8 billion mark ,don't laugh, it will take a few years to get there but it's not a joke, it can happen and if progress keeps up the way it has it will, the wallet needs a more modern look like skype or viber has emotions in chat would be nice as well but i'm sure that will happen down the road, at a marketcap like that each coin would be worth around $1400 each, XC is a goldmine and a revolution in  technology anyone who doesn't hold a few will be felling very depressed in a few years.
