this is just terrible.  Like others mentioned Satoshi would be rolling over in his grave.

Obviously, they are capitalizing on the recent rise in "full time bounty hunters" (aka: people desperate and stupid to get rich without working).
For these types of people, a video call would seem like very little effort to get "free money".

But here's the thing, the whole airdrop is wrong on many levels.
First off, just airdropping that massive amount of XLM will really devalue the coin.
Especially if you consider that the the types to do this would sell it right away.

Also, video KYC is just beyond ridiculous.  There is no legal precedent for it anywhere, not even in banks or the stock market (so of course, not in crypto).
Actually, the suspicious side of me sees this as datamining on a large scale.

Don't be a fool, don't participate in these types of things.

I heard about this airdrop, but did not know that verification would be needed. I think it's stupid to go through a complicated procedure for a small amount of money.

it's true.  blockchain.com is dropping massive xlm airdrop, the biggest in crypto history.  the amount is around 125m usd.  you have to apply thru blockchain.com link.  the requirements are to have blockchain.com wallet and to have kyc approved.  stricly 1 airdrop per blockchain wallet.

The airdrop is not a joke. I also read about the xlm airdrop and actually wanted to participate, but kyc with video call is to much. So much effort for so a few coins is just not worth it.

I received an offer like this from blockchain.com seems legit though I lost some XLM when I sent to one exchange but forgot to fill the memo because I have no idea what to choose and it did not arrive on that exchange and this is because of the memo issue, any similar incidents like this, anyway it's just $10 worth of XLM.

Lol now I think I've seen it all, video KYC smh ... what was missing, I understand that this environment needs regulations, and many times is very dangerous to make some kind of movement or investment by the number of scammers that exist, but enough with a regular kyc or a verification of wallets, to know the honest users and those who are not, video kyc seems to be a little exaggerated and even interruptive.

Stellar seemed to me as a nice project with a good future. But now I saw that ridiculous airdrop with video KYC Grin
For me it discredits the project and from side seems funny.
what is your opinion?
