I thought it was legitimate if Stellar made Airdrop. But authenticity also needs to be checked, because there is a lot of fraud now. In the past, I also got Stellar Airdrop, which was enough to create a Stellar account.

It is from blockchain.com site that a nnounced this XLM airdrop and I think it is legit. In addition to this coin telegraph which is my favorite source of cryptocurrency news  features it.  It is also reported on  coindesk.

heres the link:

https://www.coindesk.com/wallet-firm-blockchain-to-airdrop-125-million-in-stellar-to-users/

https://bitcoinist.com/blockchain-wallet-announces-125m-stellar-lumens-airdrop/
Those are legitimite site that I've seen, any important and big info about cryptocurrency always announced by the sites. If that's who gives the news about stellar airdrop, I don't hesitate to follow it, however because the previous years Stellar also often held airdrops like this.

Not joke. But what is an airdrop? They give some generated coins that cost nothing for them to the people like a wide marketing campaign. Somebody will keep, somebody sells, but many people will pay attention to the crypto and in this coin especially. And with KYC it becomes looks as serious event for mass adoption

This is indeed the real news, I am watching and seeing everything, they send content to your mailbox, but need KYC. I think this is a wise move to make full use of the meaningless KYC system. This must be good news. This is the coin I like.

I'm not sure either. But actually on their official site: blockchain.info, we all read this information. But I also wonder about selling my personal information to them for $ 25, is it too cheap?

This is absolutely ridiculous given out my identity because of a meager $25 in the name of airdrop, they aren't an exchange which requires KYC for a certain limit of withdrawal then the purpose of collecting people's identity is uncalled for bitcoin is synonymous with anonymous transactions without revealing anyone's identity.

Stellar seemed to me as a nice project with a good future. But now I saw that ridiculous airdrop with video KYC Grin
For me it discredits the project and from side seems funny.
what is your opinion?

They can keep their airdrop. Only those desperate for XLM coins will do the airdrop.

On second thought, if they'll distribute 20,000 XLM per user who did KYC, I might reconsider  Grin Grin Grin

I don't think this is a joke. Blockchain.com and Stellar are serious companies. You can send your KYC safely.

Yes, KYC in the crypto industry is total nonsense. Satoshi would not even think of it in the bad dream.
What kind of rewards it will be per person then or divided between everyone? I guess they want to have the database of active users... and once it will be recognized as an asset, you would have to declare it in your annual declaration, that's what is their aim I am wondering..

It's ridiculous, I have to give my identity for $25, lol. Don't know who is participating in the airdrop. Anyway, it should not be accepted by us. In fact, they are looking for a hype, IMO. That can be the only reason.

this airdrop may be useful for those who have fake ID's so they can use these documents and receive the reward without revealing the identity.

For some people, $25 is good amount of money, but I feel like that they are buying your KYC information for this $25. However, Blockchain is trustworthy company, and a lot of people will not a problem filling their KYC. This procedure will be usual in Crypto as we are moving toward regulations. Maybe after a year, you will not be able to use any service without KYC.

I have once seen a mention here about kyc with using video call, particularly I think it will be too hard a course, personally I will pass such. This should be taking undue advantage of all those hungry bounties and would jump on whatever that feels should be a pay

There is need to be calm regarding this issue
I received notifications from Blockchain and I also logged in my Blockchain app and found notifications too

There was nothing like KYC there so ensure it’s not a malicious email
The link was just to join the waitlist and also share to your friends

Don’t be a victim of fraud, always check Blockchain.com for any information

Video KYC for tokens that worth how much?? Ridiculous! Miss me with it!

Sounds like a joke to me, but I got same email from blockchain and because I've no time to actually go through it, I did not know KYC was required till I saw this thread. Gradually centralization is creeping into crypto and almost taking over. This is against the ideas of decentralization IMHO.

I don't think XLM airdrop is joke and to think XLM have a massive community and few ICO's are using XLM platform. Just recently blockchain is having a XLM airdrop and you need to register in the wait list and of course you need to have a blockchain wallet with KYC.
