Is GPU mining or CPU mining better?
That depends on the GPU and CPU that you are comparing

Does using Linux to mine still have an advantage over Windows?
Yes

gilad215:

That looks like a 1.5 XMR transaction.  Those 0.1's are INPUTS not outputs.  You probably mined those, right?  And those are the pool paying you at the 0.1 XMR minimum payout threshold.

I could be wrong, as I am no expert, but I CAN read.   Cool

It doesn't matter how much, thats a transaction out of the wallet that i didn't make.

what wallet? you either got hacked or the wallet was loaded up with some malicious code, is my guess

How much more efficient than CPU mining to rent?

I assume "most reliable" isnt based on the past week's performance?

They didn't get DDOS'd.  They weathered any attack.  You are confusing them with different pools.

Sorry but I think you are S. O. L. and have learned the hard lesson that I too learned.  I sent 800,000+ BCN (bytecoin) directly from MinerGate (aka MinerRape) to poloniex and guess what?  GONZO all da coinz

You arnt supposed to send from Minergate to exchanges, it has been said numerous times in their thread. Also, need to ensure before sending from exchange to exchange that it is accompanied with a payment ID, if none then do not do it. Poloniex gives the option.

No shit, Sherlock. That's what I'm saying that I learned the hard way.  MinerRape is MinerRape not for MY mistake.  They are MinerRape for raping everyone else.

I sent twice XMR to bittrex about 2 days ago. I don't see it in my balance on the site. I checked the block chain with my transaction
ID = 9dc4bd1953231488f862cace8bc239729ba5dc9d6f05145ac2b3f5875e7392ea
ID =8aec636f53c22d47dd07ec2a25bb60936e5d9a7620d01c411992e1fbfa80481b

and it's not showing up. It's 20+30=50 XMR, to me that's a lot. How can I receive the lost 50 XMR.
It is a Bug?

Its odd, usually these missing txes are because of an incorrect fee, but yours is the correct 0.005XMR so I cant see why it might have failed.

Unless someone else can come up with an explanation you may have to try stopping your bitmonerod and wallet daemons, then delete wallet.bin and the poolstate.bin (located in the "hidden" appdata or .bitmonero folder). When you restart the daemon and then the wallet they will resync themselves with the current blockchain transaction state and your XMR should reappear in your wallet.

Make sure you have backed up your wallet.bin.keys file first just to be on the safe side though!

Simply a bad internet connection or something like that can be the reason.

@yw5125521

Make sure you run the latest daemon.
delete poolstate.bin file, delete walletname.bin (not the keys file!!).
start the daemon, let it sync.
open simplewallet with the walletname.keys file and let it reindex your balance.
