I think of it like this:

At its peak, for a short while, XMR withstood over $100,000 worth of daily emission. (23000+ XMR emitted per day * 580+ XBT:USD * .008+ XMR:XBT).

Today's daily emission in USD: ~$8,300
So a bubble in July 2015 could take us to $7+ assuming zero growth of the XMR economy.

How about XMR in 2021? Due to better exchanges, more use, and more visibility, let's assume that XMR can withstand $1,000,000 in daily emission for a short while (as litecoin currently can in 2015 with nearly zero use). With 836 coins emitted per day, that's $1000+ per coin.

I believe $1000 per XMR is not only possible but realistic.

Lets be generous and share our knowledge of Monero with others now while prices are still cheap. I am telling everyone I know about it. They will thank me later if everything goes according to plan

Maybe post an email address or link to contact form in order to make it easier for people to ask them.

btc38 bitcointalk rep

tickets:
http://www.btc38.com/trade/cs_qaa_en.html
https://support.btc-e.com/

twitter:
https://twitter.com/btc38com
https://twitter.com/btcecom

I hope everyone who supports XMR will contact all the major exchanges and ask them to add us.

The more exchanges we have the more liquidity and exposure we get

Cryptsy keeps saying they will add XMR as well but they have taken a year already since it was high on voting list.....

Please keep asking exchanges to add us. Remind them of our potential trading volume and unique features

Reminder that XMR is already on BTER:
https://bter.com/trade/xmr_btc

Maybe more volume there would help attract BTC38 to Monero

Anyone have close contact with Cryptsy? I have seen reports forever that XMR would be added but it never happens

Might as well contact bitfinex too. They added DASH so maybe they will consider us if enough people ask
[email protected]

More exchanges makes it easier to attract new users. BTC38 in particular will be helpful in China. Please contact them frequently to remind them about our desire to trade XMR on their exchange.

Long term I would love to see XMR on the major Chinese exchanges like OK Coin (just BTC and LTC now) but we need to take things one step at a time.

I prefer this thread as making money and helping others to make money also is more my way.

I'm truly interested in your definition of money.
For me money is starting to be anything else than fiat...

What do you mean by money? Wealth in general (just holding the cheapest coins possible to sell them high later)?
Or fiat?

I know, it's probably me, be I really get confused about people talking about making money on this website.

I think everyone has a different definition of money.

Personally I think money on this forum (unless otherwise stated) generally should be measured in BTC since 99% of us came here to learn more about discuss BTC at some point and so many different countries (fiat currencies) are represented.

BTC is as close as you can get to a "reserve" currency on bitcointalk

Talking about a firestarter... If this 20btc wall goes down, it will unleash the bullcannons. We will have full volume confirmation of a new bullcycle.

But do u guarantee that no whale will dump a large chunk at 230, 250k ?

There are open short positions (inside knowledge as I am the lender).
That should tamper any larger dumps.
That's exactly why the short positions are essential in effective markets. It creates stability which is one thing the crypto lacks and it will drive many people far from crypto obviously.

XMR breaking out, bid side still pretty low and lol the guys who were selling it down in to zero bids.

It seems the guy with 14k wall is scaring everyone to sell in to his bids.

Would be epic if some buys it all and fucks him over.

I think this photo might just be the best thing I've ever seen you contribute to this thread. Well done sir!

Thank you.
As this is a speculation thread, many also appreciates my predictions on price movements as the price tends to follow me.  Grin
I think I have been wrong with my speculation 1 or two times (max). Usually I get angry trolls spitting on me who typically have longer history than me but they may not be right if they speculate.  Grin

I am not planning to write much on the main thread as that sort of commenting is not my field of speciality. I prefer this thread as making money and helping others to make money also is more my way.

Seriously though I expected Monero to drop in relation to bitcoin after the rally, staying stable compared to USD. It's very nice to watch Monero rally against bitcoin while bitcoin rallies against the dollar.

Edit: WHOA! Spoke too soon?

Crazy moves Shocked

Around 9,5k of incredibly well priced xmr left. Opportunities like these are slimming down.

Would be a good play to rollover some ltc/nmc/ppc profits into xmr right now before the ano-cycle kicks off again.

And it's gone... Must be some barracuda's in the water today.

Anybody here likes a nice triangle? We just broke out of the downtrend on the daily on (so far) moderate volume:

First major historical resistance at 24, 2nd at 28 and then ready to slam in against 37. Let's see if this rally matures tho, we need a little more volume confirmation. I actually witnessed more than usual numbers of requests for OTC-trades lately, so i'm counting on it.

Personally wouldn't be suprised to surpass the previous high of 42 later this/next month, although the resistance is gonna be substantial. If the conditions are right the bulls could carry this one even to north of 54 or (caution, bold prediction incomingeven the 72-77 region

Don't quit your dayjobs tho kids, happy trading!

Likely there are many holding over the past year looking to exit a good portion of their positions and recoup fiat value along that way. We'll see what the resistance is like.

If you held on to this for over a year, even during the 2 declines (0.0051-0.00097 and 0.0043-0.00168), you won't sell if it goes back up but rather hodl. Furthermore, you had plenty of occasions to sell.

i dont think we have one, maybe one big Behemoth..
btw great list, should fit nicely for the next few months Smiley

lets see how much action we get the coming days, looks promising for now. xmr is so small compared..it feels undervalued for now, at least to me Grin

If XMR stays perfectly fungible, then we have a serious contender for a great store of value on our hands.  People who risk big early may be massive winners in the long run.

Might I interfere to your musings, I'd propose a diversification of a portion from 1:3 to 1:5 or more of the BTC:XMR you have.

Do you mean dollar based or coin amount?

I assume he meant the ratio to be based on current (fiat) value.

I expect that in the case that it fulfills its destiny, the most possible scenario for the price for XMR would be something like that. If you expect though 1:1 price then the above suggestion may be the perfect choice for you! Smiley

I have very little btc (only some I am lending in Polo for traders + some dust in my wallet).
So I am not a big believer of bitcoin despite I think it will be a decent investment still. However, I believe Monero is even better so that's why I am invested more heavily in xmr.

Besides this, I have a few appartments that I am renting out. In stock markets I am not currently as I feel they have risen too much way too fast.
Also I own shares from a couple start-ups so I am not putting all my eggs into one basket but I have to admit I like Monero very much though.

------

I hope nobody was in that car when the Monero train hit it.

XMR prices seem to be on an upward trend over the last 24 hours or so.

Maybe people who are worried about the BTC 1MB blocksize limit will notice that XMR has no hard coded cap.

Monero is built not just to be fungible. It is built to scale
