I had a question about ckpool
What version of Bitcoin Core does it use?
Currently 22.0. I usually upgrade it some time after the latest release is out to make sure all bugs are shaken out.

Hi, are you running similar nigerian scam?
Willi is a very respectable member of the community and many people have safely entrusted him with running group buys. Not an appropriate accusation.

'The right to privacy matters'
200 PH/s hash power needs about 2000 Atminer s19 machines
if one s19 machine is $20k USD, 2000 x s19 cost about $40 millions USD.

Electric cost 2000 x 3500Wat = 7.5 MWat.

In USA, there are a lot of funds who has such money. They lost of $billion in equity market.

We are small players and no such $ on equipment.
I prefer to run optimization algorithm on search space of sha256 space in order to increase
hashrate power.

100th s19 cost about 4k now so 2000 is 8 million worth of gear. maybe more like 10 million worth of gear.

I can not afford 8 million worth of miners.

but I do mine here and ck’s other pool

200 PH/s hash power can resolve a block in 2 days.

More like 6 days if you are talking about 100% luck, but that is some serious hashrate to be honest, to rent 200PH for a whole day you are going to need just about a whole bitcoin, not sure who did that, you need to have a lot of money and a few huge balls to take such a gamble. Cheesy

...
lack of transactions in a block does not make it invalid, the miner may choose not to add any transactions (except the Coinbase transaction which states where the rewards should go to), however, most often than not, this isn't done with the intention of not wanting to add transactions, miners will start working on the next block right after a block is found, it takes a bit of time to deal with their mempool as they need to download the previous block's transaction list and remove all those transactions that were included in that block (failing to do so the block will be invalid).

So while downloading and working on the transactions, miners will start trying, if someone manages to hit a block before including any transactions, they will not hesitate to propagate the block, and that's how you see empty blocks.
...
It would be important to give some context to this statement rather than give them an excuse for not confirming transactions in a block before sending out work.

The time gained is like 10-50ms at most.
None of the large pools do block changes in 0ms - obviously, and pools like this and others can easily download and do a full block change with all the block's transactions fully verified in 10-50ms, often at the lower end of that range.

It hardly sounds like an excuse in mikeywith's comment, its merely a simple explanation for the not so "guru" minded people like yourself.

so i would take it that pools like yours? being almost 262 days since you hit a block and 8.5PH of shared mining
would be on the lower end of that range?

please explain?

I know your heart's in the right place, but please don't start this here. I don't think it was an attack on this pool at all since neither of us ever mine empty blocks and started from the same code base.

I wish you luck man, but for now you are still under the best share required to solve a BCH block, so BTC will need more time I guess  Grin Grin Grin
