This is also gambling with zero luck, I bet no one is going to win anything other than those small weekly rewards, those big rewards will go to someone known to the government officials because Money is everything in this world. Personally I am not going to get any vaccines unless its an emergency situation.
Lottery with very small chance of winning the jackpot? this will only sounds like fooling people to believe that someone will win but the truth is they will not.
Why instead of making it in lottery , why do it as Rapple? so there will be a sure winner of the jackpot  Grin
But of course the government will not give this a chance for a reason that they will spend big money while the truth s they have none because of the pandemic effect.
i think that was raffle not rapple but your correct that theres always a sure winner in raffles but not in lotteries but why cant the people suggest to make it as a raffle instead of lotteries before they be able to participate ?
but governments can lower the prize a little bit because they would have run out of funds and they could use the funds in more important situations  than in games

Also when talking about Pfizer never forget who they really are

Pfizer's no charity guys. I don't buy they wanna save the world and looking at the high adverse reaction rate of their thing (that's no vaccine, but sperimental drug) I'm more and more convinced not to get the jab.

Good observation.
Most probably Pfizer had this offer for their government to use their product for mass vaccination so people would be encouraged to take a dose. This is a win-win situation for the Pfizer. If they'll get the majority of the dose for the people, then $260k is nothing compared to the amount of market they'll get.
This is nothing but a marketing strategy amidst the growing number of competitors as vaccines are considered as necessities in this pandemic time.

Win-Win  indeed for pfizer. As if majorities will take this vaccines,

The amount of money that they'll going to collect from the government is far higher than the amount of lottery jackpot that they are offering.

Marketing strategy that will cause them good amount of compensation, this kind of marketing strategy mostly attracts people to use and support the product.

Countries are still incentivizing their citizens to take the jab in hopes of reaching herd immunity before the year 2021 ends. Not really surprised that they'd do this since there has been a resurgence of antivaxxers after several hoaxes resurfaced stating that vaccines are just a tool for the government to spy on their citizens. It's just a shame that the governments have to resort to this technique in order to protect their citizens, but if it works then it works, I guess.
Some governments give incentives to their people who are vaccinated, but some others not.
Hopefully, people can think what the advantage of the vaccine to their body so they want to get vaccinated.
I see the news about anti-vaxxers saying they do not want to be vaccinated, and some follow them.
If they do not want to be vaccinated, they do not have to ask other people to follow them because that will be up to them.
People need to concern about their health and if their government asks them to be vaccinated, they should follow.

Livecasino, 20% cashback, no fuss payouts.
Saw this quite late and it boggles my mind to think that in half of the world, people would kill for vaccines. In another half, people are getting paid and incentivized to take it.

I'd be taking pfizer anyway if I could access, not to mention getting a lottery! Antivaxxers I don't get also, they live such privileged lives.

I've also heard another country before who offers the same for their citizens.

Two notes :
- Why the prize pool is only limited to Pfizer vaccine? So if someone got another vaccine like moderna or spotnick he won't be eligible for win ?
- Isn't better for a poor country with only 35% of the population vaccinated to buy more vaccines and enforce the vaccination (many methods to do this) instead of calling the greed ?

Good observation.

Those hoaxers who don't have any spare time to confirm the news they shared on social media are the one needs to get the vaccine first. since they are not really helping to solve this world problem and they still have time to spread hoaxes. Anyway, as I see in the AGT and the NBA, things have already gone normal for them. it's like nothing has happened everyone has returned to their jobs and when you look at the fans almost all of them do not wear a mask. unlike in our city, people will get a penalty of about $10 each if he caught outside without wearing a face shield. Yeah! our city governments take advantage of the situation.

As usual we would really be ending up on like guinea pigs or simply test subjects.Efficacy wont really be proven out if not tested and we know that vaccines should be at least 5 years on observation before it would produce to masses but look at on how short they had made out that vaccine and distributed? People does have their own will though neither they would mind that much on the risk or would typically risk out their lives on taking a shot even they do know that high risk is there rather than doing nothing at all and would have more bigger risk on getting infected with the virus. Its just a matter of choice though but having that kind
of initiative from the government is a bit recommendable.

If you don't want to get a vaccine shot, then it is your choice. But later, don't blame the government if someone in your family dies from COVID. The daily number of deaths from COVID has almost reduced to zero in countries such as Israel, United Kingdom and the United States, which have achieved more than 50% vaccination coverage. And your demand that the vaccine should be on 5 years observation is really absurd. Is there any scientific basis for such a claim? For a pandemic that is killing millions of people right now, how you are going to fight it with a vaccine that will be approved in 2026?

It was to be expected that the side-effects of the vaccines were going to be higher than usual, after all most vaccines need many years or even a decade to be developed in order for the vaccine to be made as safe as possible but since this was impossible to do people have to take a decision, do they take the risk of taking the vaccine or they refuse with the chance that sooner or later they will get the virus and they will have to face it without any help from the vaccine?

It is a gamble when you take part of the lottery but you pay nothing and receive the ticket as you take the Pfizer vaccine on their country because that seems to be the preferred vaccine by their government.

In other countries that have started this, there were really actual winners and it's published and recorded.

Personally I am not going to get any vaccines unless its an emergency situation.
Vaccines effect won't take effect immediately so if you want to take it on an emergency situation, you'll not experience to see the effect of it immediately because it's taking effect gradually.

If you open project VAERS and read some testimony there, the vaccine shot itself is a lottery. You can't know what will happen to your body after the shot. Anyway, incentive is still better than mandatory (coercion) by tyrannical government. I personally not interested, but if they offer me like $50k I'll think about it Grin
The problem with the vaccine is that it became a political tool which caused the developers and researchers to speed up the process of creating the vaccine which lead to the imperfection of the vaccine and now it came to this, the vaccine doesn't have a 100% effectivity.
There's no such thing about 100% efficacy of vaccines as of today.
https://www.yalemedicine.org/news/covid-19-vaccine-comparison

You can really see that it is way below 100% most of the time so it isnt giving any guaranteed for you to be fully protected and you can make out some comparison in between.

Lottery ticket in exchange for get yourself vaccinated which i dont see to be interesting.

If you think of it, the fact that people are needed to be ENCOURAGED to get the vaccine is mind-blowing, but this is the world we live in..

I'd be surprised to know that this could actually work though. The thing is - most people that participate in these lotteries (the same campaigns are also run in the US, China, India, Serbia, etc.) for vaccination are the people that would most likely take the vaccine anyway. Those anti-vaxxers, on the other hand, are people of ideology, they aren't getting a vaccine not just because they're lazy, but because of what they believe in.

Most of those people are pretty sure the vaccine will kill them, so do you think such people will sell their lives (as they would think) for a car or even a million dollars?

Well, if you're not sure, you can ask @BADecker, the known anti-vaxxer that posts spam in P&S, if he'd agree to vaccination for a million dollars. Not even for a billion he would Cheesy

Poland is not the only country who has this "vaccine lottery". For example the governor of Michigan (US) has announced vaccine lottery also. And it is available not only for Pfizer vaccine takers. As well as in Latvia Government approves 'vaccine lottery' in principle. On one hand it is good that through lotteries government stimulate citizens to take a vaccine, on the other hand, this is one of hidden instrument of how to made people take a vaccine.
Vaccination will be going a mandatory protocol for all casinos but to be specific of what vaccine is needed before we are allowed to join the lottery, that was not fair. I mean, they should also have to consider the value of other vaccines available, not only Pfizer. But if that will be their strict rule, we have nothing to do either we got vaccinated by Pfizer or just go online gambling.

As sooner or later, this not only be happening in casinos but possible in all close establishment and this will urge people to get vaccinated otherwise, they got no freedom to go around outside their premises.

in my country, citizens who want to get a Pfizer injection have to spend the extra money and there are a lot of fans of Pfizer here. I think the Polish people are lucky with the offer given by their government.

I think Poland isn't the only country who made such a plan to encourage people taking the vaccine.

No, they aren't the only country that is doing this kind of strategy to convince people to take the vaccine. In our country, the government has been offering different kinds of good incentives just to attract more people to get vaccinated but lots of people still refuse it. We can't please or even convince everyone to take the vaccine because there has been lots of conspiracy and fake news being spread about the side effects of the vaccine. As for me, people only need assurance that they would be safe after being vaccinated.

In my country there has not been any action to persuade people to be vaccinated other than by banning those who have not been vaccinated from using air transportation.  A mandatory requirement for those wishing to board a plane is to be vaccinated.  Meanwhile, if you look at neighboring countries, the government is also active in making creative public service advertisements and is very enthusiastic about facing the new normal.
