I think most country have those kind of let's say gimmick so that the people would get vaccinated.
Sometimes they would have some giveaways for those who would participate and for me I think it is a good one since people do need some assistance from the government due to the pandemic,
Many people have suffered on financial and also mental health.

I think there are two things at stake here. As far as I know, treatment in Poland is covered by the state, so certainly a country like Poland would have to spend much more than $ 260k on treatment of people who do not get vaccinated. The second reason is definitely politics, which is showing people how good the government is and how much it cares for its citizens.
Governments are also encouraging people to get vaccinated because we cannot really have people in a perpetual lockdown, if the economy collapsed then the pandemic could be the least of our worries so we need to go back to work and get the economy going once again and this is only possible if the majority of the population is vaccinated, it is not going to be easy or cheap but it is something that is necessary to do.

Its good if government are taking action to make sure people get vaccinated. At the same time, people also willing to get vaccinated and feel themselves save. But the government should not differentiate between different version of the vaccine. If a person has taken pifzer  or any other WHO recommended vaccine, he should be treated with equality who took pifzer.

That's indeed a nice way to get their citizens vaccinated but I do have some queries here.
Why only pifzer ? What about other covid-19 vaccines ?
I am not really sure if other vaccines are available in Polland but if it is then why isn't government not rewarding those who get the other vaccines as well.

The second thing is, it's good that the government has found out a way to reward the citizens but wouldn't it be better if the government could reward a little amount to every citizen rather than every 500th or 2000th citizen to get vaccinated.

I don’t understand what is good about such an initiative? In my opinion, these prizes and lotteries turn a serious event into some kind of clowning, and this is at best. And in the worst case, these tempting promotions make you wonder if everything is so clean here (free cheese only happens in a mousetrap).

I personally think that the government is giving away free money because their citizens might not be following the covid-19 guidelines.
Also, many people hesitate to get vaccinated which might be another why the government is trying hard to get their citizens vaccinated.
The covid-19 virus is very contagious which is why it is absolutely necessary to get everyone vaccinated as soon as possible.
I think it makes complete sense to reward the people getting vaccinated because that's the right way to get out of the situation as soon as possible.

Yet again the Government of Poland announced quite an unusual prize for people who have gotten pifzer. You are eligible to participate in the lottery plus the prizes are up to 260,000$!!!!

Lol, one of the best ways to motivate people to get vaccinated  Grin
Really smart way. But for honest, there a lot of covid deniers which is impregnable to any kind of motivation and conviction.
And yeah, it would be better to make more prizes. Maybe less, but people would feel more probable to win, so they would get a vaccine for it.
I dont think for it to be the best way but its better rather than have nothing at all and they are doing something which they do really mind of about their citizens safety but to know that
vaccines arent really putting someone on total guaranteed or safety against the virus but at least we do have something in protection rather than have nothing at all.
There would be always those people who dont really mind of about being vaccinated because they are afraid with the side effects which i cant really blame them of but
it would be much more scarier if they dont have protection or immune on the said virus.Government in Poland does really have that good initiative.

Good question, since there are also other available vaccines maybe possible that pfizers get the majorities and they decided to sponsor this event to gather Polland's citizens attentions

Whatever the reason behind, it's for the betterment of their country in fight with this virus hope that aside from the pot rewards the people also be aware that this virus is not going to stop too soon.

They needed to take the vaccines to lessen the chance of having it and risk their lives.

Two years later will be the time for the election so I guess the government wants to show people how they care about their citizens to come back to the government. It is a good idea for them to attract attention from their citizen because their people can know if their government is doing the right thing for them. Yes, the country needs to allocate big money for their people, which is worth doing.

actually now what is needed is awareness from the public to carry out vaccines and sometimes negative news about vaccine side effects makes people even more afraid and even refuses vaccination and actually the government must be able to guarantee that the vaccine does not have side effects that can affect our health later, I once asked some of my friends who don't want to be vaccinated and they say that they want to wait for a vaccine that is really good and has no side effects at all and I think their reasoning is very reasonable, because in my country the government uses 7 types of vaccines and of course they have different functions so that people are a little confused about the type of vaccine to be used  Grin.
People can get aware if they get well-educate and get informs from the right sources and in this matter, they get it from their government so they do not have to afraid because their government will take care of them. Maybe the government can explain the side effect after the vaccine and what they need to do to minimize the effect on their body. If the government can explain with the right, their people will want to vaccinate, and they will not think about the lottery because that will be a side bonus for the people. I am sure that if we have a good immune before or after vaccinated, we will be okay and we will not feel any side effects because the vaccine will be blend with our immune and make a new immunity to our body.

Whether there's a lottery ticket or any sort of giveaway just to get vaccinated, as long as there's already the provision for the vaccine by the government. People must take of that advantage and moment to get the shot as soon as it's available in their category and place.
It's all about health and Poland is just doing its job to maintain its country with a clean and near virus-free environment whether there's a lottery giveaway or not. That is a must in these times but soon, if the covid infection becomes lower and near to being free and eliminated. Everyone on that country can do everything that they want with or without those goodies.
I am sure if people can take care of themselves better, sooner or later, the virus will end and we will be back to normal life like before. At least, if we are vaccinated, that can reduce the chance of getting infected, although that is not guaranteed. The lottery giveaway is only a bonus for lucky people, so maybe they do not have to think about the prizes.

Maybe that is because that country does not have more funds to create a lottery than Poland, so they only suggest their people vaccinate. I think that will not be a problem because that is for people's health, and people need to realize that. The virus is already spread in many places and there are no signs of stopping, so it is better to follow what is suggested to us, although that still does not fully protect our body and health.

Every vaccine has different efficacy and side effects, so it will be up to us or it is better to ask for a doctor's advice on what vaccine should we take. If I found pfizer to be unreliable, I wouldn't really choose it just to join the lottery.
^ Definitely right, all brand of vaccines has a different side effect and I think the most leading brand is Pfizer-BioNTech or know as in short name Pfizer.
This is the only vaccine that you can apply to even teenagers, it is 12 years old above while other brands are allowed only 18 years old above. The pain is moderate compared to the other brand and the outcome after taking an injection are only fatigue and headache while other brands are more worst just like an allergic reaction and even you will experience convulsion. Nevertheless, it is a good choice brand from Poland and for sure all of them will get vaccinated.

I think the gift giving is a surefire step for Poland to get its citizens to want to vaccinate, in contrast to some countries which are only limited to urging their citizens to vaccinate, and even in my country now has implemented very strict rules and there are also restrictions on activities for the community to prevent the spread of the virus, and in my country there are still many people who are against the government's recommendation to vaccinate so this causes the government a little difficulty.

New vaccines are expected to have side effects and its effects depends on the person injected with. It is hard to guarantee that it won't have side effects that's why the government is giving you choices and aren't forcing you to take but they gave good incentives to promote vaccination just like what the lottery in Poland did. Neither have side motives or actually been concern of  their citizens health then its none of our business and as long they do show off some concern about their citizens then that what matter most.

If it does have some political intention mix up then people aren't that blind in towards to that.Thing here is that if people are really that much willing to take that vaccine or not.

Eligible for some lottery is just a bonus because what matter most here is your safety but don't think that these shots are giving 100% protection so you should still be careful.

Really mate, you wanna go with this? You want to say that you have seen 3 articles that you didn't even read and you want to go against everyone who are super tired of living in isolation and going outside with just masks with some look of apocalypse going around the world? Alright, I will show you why you should not be someone ANYONE should listen to and why scientists who spent DECADES! trying to learn things like these should be listened instead.

First one is a 13 year old kid that we still do not know if died from vaccination, kid died in his sleep and that's all we know, there wasn't even a side affect impact on him in the first three nights so there is a big chance it was not the vaccination that killed him, plus it is advised not to get the shot before you are 18 years old, since survival rate is already very high for them.

Secondly the guy in Ukraine died four hours later, yet 5 other people that took the same shot had absolutely nothing, and that guy is still NOT KNOW IF HE DIED FROM THE SHOT, so there is no proof of it. There is ZERO PROOF that vaccination kills, if I get the vaccination and then shoot myself with a gun in the head doesn't mean that I died because of the vaccination, people die, and just so happens some of them die after getting the vaccination, doesn't mean the cause is the vaccination, a car could hit them when they walk out of the clinic, doesn't make it vaccinations cause. Calm the f down and get the shot.

Months before we heard a news where to increase the chances of people getting vaccinated they government gave them a chance to win prizes, lotteries and even in some countries you are allowed to travel for free. Yet again the Government of Poland announced quite an unusual prize for people who have gotten pifzer. You are eligible to participate in the lottery plus the prizes are up to 260,000$!!!! Which is a great news. But unfortunately only 35% of the people in Poland are vaccinated yet. Not only that read this :
Quote
From 1 July every 500th person to take the dose will receive a cash prize of PLN200, while every 2,000th person will receive PLN500. The Polish Government will be giving away five prizes of PLN50,000 every week for three months, alongside the incentive each month to receive PLN100,000 and a Toyota Corolla for two lucky winners. The final winners will scoop up the PLN1m and a Toyota CH-R each... If you were thinking of moving to Poland, then now’s your chance. And if you need an electric scooter, they’re flogging them too, 720 to be precise.

Now that's a gamble that you gotta try! If you are from Poland then you have to get the shot! I do think this is an interesting gamble for the people there what do you think ? ?

https://www.gamblinginsider.com/news/12395/pfizer-for-prizes-as-poland-launches-covid-lottery
In my opinion, it's just a government's way of forcing people to get vaccinated because it's difficult to deal with everyone, especially those who don't want to get vaccinated. As long as the covid-19 virus exists, new variants appear out of nowhere, and it is extremely dangerous to allow this virus to exist in the world.

IMO, the government's idea to encourage people to be vaccinated in exchange for a chance to win money is a good one. Yes, it's still a risk, particularly if you distrust vaccines and are willing to get vaccinated for the sake of winning the money. However, I'm very sure that there are just a few people who don't believe in vaccines because they're afraid of what can happen to their bodies, and that fuds are ubiquitous.

what i dont like about this Poland lottery is that they are discriminating other covid vaccines, why only pfizer? am ok with this strategy as other countries or states are also doing some kind of lottery already like in washington state, and ohio . the lottery prizes differ from each state to state but they don't mention which vaccine they used. every country or state has their own strategy on how to entice their constituents to get vaccinated but hopefully they won't be picky what type of vaccine they want to include in the lottery.

All of those who have taken vaccines are eligible for lottery, and it is not just for Pfizer. But Poland is primarily using Pfizer to vaccinate and that may have created some confusion. The largest prize is 1 million zlotys ($273,000). I don't know what prompted this reaction from the government, but the vaccination rates have been quite high in Poland compared to the other countries in the region. Opinion polls indicate that around 70% of the Polish citizens want to get vaccinated (with Pfizer as the main vaccine).
