Ok, I and MrKalipso participate in this. We are developing trading platforms (similar to ebay), where will be present zeitcoin.
Maybe this will attract to coin some attention.

Although probably most do not care. All are waiting fantastic growth rate out of nowhere to get rich quick doing nothing  Cheesy

HELLO ALL YOU CORPSES/ZOMBIES Wink

Here's an interesting article for y'all to digest -

http://altcoinherald.com/people-still-act-surprised-coin-dev-disappears/

At least THIS coin is rock-solid & working as planned despite our original "dev" deserting us - it was ALWAYS intended as a long-term investment, all those who understood that from the start are perfectly happy.

Personally, I'm not worried about anything but staking until about this time next year - other coins (esp BTC itself) will do the groundwork in pushing alts to the outside world, we don't need to waste energy chasing the latest 'buzzword" (gimmicks like chat, anonomity etc will pass & fade, for sure) we can just enjoy the mint, pick up cheap Zeit from the dumpers, and bide our time until the world is ready for a currency with ENOUGH INDIVIDUAL COINS to embrace global commerce.

(When there are 2 billion users, what use is a coin with only a couple of million 'units'? -  the 'winning' coins will be those that are CLOSE in value to 1 unit of the local fiat. 90 Billion will give us a good start!)

Enjoy the summer, forget 1s & 0s, smell the coffee, hug your loved ones, live like you gonna die 2moz.

Ziet is alive & well & doing what it's supposed to.

FUD-ders know this too & want all your coin cheap.

Hey! Your dosh, your call. No prob.

See who is laffin' hardest in 2017 ( No matter how young you are, it'll be here sooner than you think!)

Cheesy Well said! The pseudo-sell wall on MintPal was obliterated last night. The 64LTC cloud that has been hovering over 20 litoshis was sent running with a great big patch torn off its rear end! Expect some desperate FUD!

I have not opened my wallet in a while.  The minting process is hit or miss, but that could be my CPU causing that, for all I know.  I have yet to sell/trade any Zeitcoin.  I still plan on letting it mint as much as possible.

you might do better staking if you let the wallet run for a while, (a few consecutive days/mo), as the wallet will orphan all new stake while synching. you don't really 'loose' the orphans, though they're not spendable, coin-age is not lost and the coins will re-stake  Wink

if anyone can recommend a windows boot disk that will allow access to the drives for backup purposes in an event like this it would be appreciated I had to install windows to a different drive to get access to all my wallets

there are a few to choose from, but since i havn't used any in years, can't recomend, except, because (imho) everyone should have a handle on the free, open source OS, (linux) that is what i will, whole heartedly recomend.
puppy linux is made to run from a CD. it's tiny, ~120mB, does not need to be installed, can be your 'secret' OS on a disc ...   can be a little tough to get used to tho

ubuntu, ArtistX, linux mint, are very user friendly, and come on a 'live DVD' from which you can try it out without installing. yes, they make great rescue discs for windows, once you learn to navigate the filesystem.

but the best way is to always have a backup OS installed allready on your HDD when, not if, windows shits the bed. just create 3 small partitions on your drive(s) (1 for swap; 1.5 x your RAM, one for 'root' (/) ~20 gB, and one for 'home' ~30+gB) and you're good to go, installs + updates in an hour or 2 and you should be able to do everything you do in windows, and yes, you can choose the OS at startup, anf you will be able to access all your NTFS - FAT drives  Smiley

[edit] Oh, Oh yeah - if you're up to it, be sure you put in windoz first, as if you do lin first it's bootloader will be overwritten, (Win rudely ignores lin, but lin has manners and will be nice to Win  Wink)

2015, 2017.. Live for today and promote it today. Make services, educate people. Waiting is not the best solution. Because most fellows just wait and do nothing.

I sort of agree with you, but, to my mind, the worst thing to do is to 'pump' it up and then not fulfill expectation e.g. if the price falls back. So far, virtually all the altcoin prices have fallen over time. I did point out, quite a few pages back, that the prevailing, *expert opinion is that 2014 is Bitcoin's year and that the altcoins won't really take hold until 2015. (*Andreas Antonopoulos for one).

Zeitcoin is marvelously understated at the moment. As time goes on and more and more people try it, the word will get around about how good it really is - and word of mouth is one of the best forms of marketing. If there is to be any pumping, then it should be co-ordinated, done at the right time, and for the right reasons. In any event, I believe this coin will rise naturally. Just my opinion  Smiley

HELLO ALL YOU CORPSES/ZOMBIES Wink

At least THIS coin is rock-solid & working as planned ... (and the rest)

Agreed. I'm now getting used to the new, fully POS wallet, which works like a dream - and looking forward to 2015 ;-)

I've also been enjoying the low, low, ... low Zeitcoin price, but have just encountered a slight problem with Mintpal. When I tried to withdraw my 'swag' purchased today, they told me that I could only request a maximum of 50 million. Then my password on the withdrawal page wasn't recognised, so I couldn't alter the amount to that allowable. My account was then suspended. However, everything was rectified after sending in a support ticket. Overall, I've never had a problem with Mintpal, but I'm wondering whether anyone else has had difficulty in withdrawing large amounts?

Talking about maximum numbers: has anyone found out the minimum required for minting? I've tried searching the forum, but have not been able to locate anything on this. I've always followed Solarion's advice in transferring a minimum of 5 million+ at a time to my wallet. Thanks all for the good work.

And anyone who thinks that a dev being offline for two weeks means a coin is dead really needs to get a better understanding of how the community around a coin is what drives the coin. Devs can't do it alone.

computer died today so I restored it to new I saved /appdata/roaming to one of the backup drives but as I was restoring stuff to the new c: drive I was deleting stuff and forgot to view hidden files and folders so appdata roaming got deleted

using recurva and 10 mins in I have 14 wallet.dat files  looks like im going to be ok but will need to pair the wallet to the dat file wich I can see being a huge job

anyway the moral of the story is if you make a backup, back it up just incase the deamon boose makes you forget to do it right

also have backups in a truecrypt folder on 3 drives but about 7 important wallets are missing because im lazy

zeit wallet is fine I have 2 more backups of that so no worries but I need you all to cross everything for me including your eyes

edit

now have 22 wallet.dat files

if anyone can recommend a windows boot disk that will allow access to the drives for backup purposes in an event like this it would be appreciated I had to install windows to a different drive to get access to all my wallets
