Wallet data folder is the same.
There is no "minting" Button. Only a mintication. If mint lock and mint unlock is greyed out, perhaps your wallet is not encrypted and you will never see the green leaf ;-)
Those new features are only for encrypted wallets!!!

Ah! Yeah, that's what I meant. And no, I hadn't encrypted the wallet yet when I wrote that last post. Thanks Ray!

Just got my first stake for in the new wallet for 135k.  I thought someone here said it wouldnt mint blocks higher than 5m?

No, it was said that a ball-park figure for the 'ideal' block-size was around 5 mill, based on the info in the Hobonickel wiki on minting/coin control.

Quick questions for you smart people. I just loaded up the new wallet and everything looks pretty good. I extracted it to a different folder than the original wallet was extracted to though. Is that going to cause any issues? It showed the correct balance right away, so I know it is reading my wallet.dat which is located in the same folder as the original wallet. Or should I have extracted it to the same folder and let it overwrite anything that needed to be overwritten? Also, when I click on the "minting" button, both "mint lock" and "mint unlock" are grayed out. Normal?

Damn Lion! You are a Zeit PIIIMMMMMPPP!! I only have a cool 1 mil Zeit!  Cool Maybe one day I will be a high roller like you.

I haven't updated to the new wallet yet. I just opened my wallet for the first time in a few days and I am in the middle of a mint fest right now. So I don't want to interrupt that. I did the math and I am in the middle of minting a cool 4.4K Zeit.  Grin Yeah yeah, you big wigs laugh at my puny amounts, but I will take whatever I can get!

5 & 1/2 hrs later, I've synch'd 2 out of 3 wallets.

(I did more-or-less 'clean installs' of the new version)

One needed a restart, hung up with 6000+ blocks to go, now OK, balance OK (93.1 mill).

2nd (laptop) no probs at all, balance OK (a whole 900!)

3rd has needed 2 restarts so far, still has 170,000 blocks to go. (should be 32.2 mill)

No wuckers, mates, the devs did their jobs, this wallet is not only rock-solid, it's damned sexy too Grin

backup your wallet.dat guys I just lost 16 million in this update
You are on linux?
We have changed the filenames to lowercase...
:-)
That was your problem. You've lost nothing... But a backup is always a good idea.

Quote
Note that the name changes from "Zeitcoin" to "zeitcoin" on certain OSes will create a new directory for the chain and your wallet. You should copy your wallet and try to copy the blockchain (blk*.dat and the database directory) to the new directory. If the database is not being accepted just remove everything except your wallet. Wink

Windows and Mac don't effects. Only Linux changed
