Unfortunately, covid-19 started having its affects in NBA also. There is already a game that has been postponed: Chicago Bulls - Detroit Pistons. It must be because of this new variant that people have been talking about lately. I hope that it doesn't spread among so many players in NBA. Otherwise, we might come back to the old days which the games were being played without supporters.

It would be interesting to see how the bookies handle this honestly.

Seems to me that there may be potential issues when it comes to bet settlements in this period for games which have been postponed, especially if they are parlay bets.

Hopefully everyone gets their deserved settlement out of this unfortunate situation.

It's starting to get cold out of course it's going to ramp up.  I'm with you though I hope they don't block spectators from coming.  For me half the fun is the whole surrounding of the game.  It seems more like preseason, or even a practice when there is no one in the gym but the players.  The bubble experience was terrible, I barely watched.

New reports today that the Los Angeles Lakers have started internal discussions about whether or not they should trade Russell Westbrook.  It seems like they're trying to get involved in the Ben Simmons sweepstakes.  With a deal needing to be done in the next 24 hours, it seems like this is a longshot.  Interesting some of the possible teams being named in a blockbuster trade though...  Portland, Los Angeles, Philadelphia...  With the Lakers possibly willing to add Westbook to a deal next to THT and LeBron on Twitter saying how THT is the future, there's definitely some smoke coming from their camp...  Now we wait and see if it turns to fire.

We have a big game ahead tonight: New York Knicks vs Golden State Warriors. And I'm favouring GSW to defeat Knicks even if they have a tough time. Actually, Knicks were one of the teams that made a fascinating start to the season. But somehow their performance started decreasing at a very high rate. And now they are even out of top 10 in their conference. But they don't seem to have a good chance to win here.

I like this match-up, but, I would still favor the Warriors to win as they are still the best team for me in the NBA now. After a win against the Pacers, they'll be battling another tough team in the East, let's see how this would work out for the Warriors, will they still have that energy to play with full defense against a good defensive team?

I don't know how long this covid cases could be allowed to happen before something is done about it. I am not saying go back to bubble right away, but even a week of no games and just postponing the whole remainder of games for one week while ending the league one week later etc etc, basically just making everything one week later would have been a lot better.

I know financially that is a bit troublesome, the tickets, the costs, the traveling, the arrangements the hotel reservations and basically everything will be a whole chaos but lets be honest, there are people who gets paid a salary to handle these type of things for teams and the league officials. All in all I would assume that it looks like it could be done and just one week of nobody contacting nobody would allow the players to come back with zero positive in the league and they can restart the whole league with ease.

The Warriors vs Knicks game is televised on TNT tonight. Stephen Curry going for the regular season total 3 pointers made record. I think we all knew this would happen, but watching him break past Ray Allen with so much time left in his career is something special. With only 2 3s left he’s almost certain to break the record tonight and I’m guessing the crowd is going to go nuts every time he makes one.

Stephen Curry is just animal, man.  Cheesy  He is not from our world surely. He is just scoring 3-pointers from everywhere. He is one of the best guards ever in NBA history and maybe he is even the best now. I'm planning to watch the game tonight and hoping to see another superb performance from Curry. I assume that they will win and Curry will be helping his team for this victory a lot.
An animal that's definitely hybrid. He is beating his own record in 3 points made and this is just early in this season and his already on fire. Looks like he is the best from now and he surely made history over his signature type of playing.

It's a back to back game of the Warriors, after winning against the Pacers, they will now face the Knicks which is also a good team. Hopefully Curry will again explode, he made 26 points against the Pacers, how about 40+ this game?

If ever this season will go on with one missing in the splash brothers, Curry can't carry this team for long because it's either he'll suffer from a minor to serious injury or he will be tired and needed to rest and it's inevitable. Without Steph Curry and Klay this season, the rest or the team cannot carry on to the semi-finals. Let's just hope we can see both of the Splash brothers playing again in the court sometime soon, and if Klay will be back, hopefully he's back to normal just the way we used to see him playing.
IMO, they can win games when they are in a better rotation. I see Gary Payton back to fewer minutes in-game and I don't know the reason behind it. Could Stever Kerr be planning on something again?
Then another key to winning is their shooting percentage which sometimes is like a plague. When Steph is off-night everyone follows. There must be someone who will focus on attacking the paint like Wiggins or Gary Payton II because the opponent is expecting them to shoot threes over and over again. The unpredictability of the team is gone because of that.

Although the Warriors don't have an excellent squad (only Curry for me is a high level player), the GSW is playing very well, the team has chemistry and they are winning most of the games.... Unlike the Lakers, who unfortunately , having one of the best squad in the NBA today, he is still fighting for a playoff spot, with much lower performance than expected (I only did a GSW vs Lakers comparison)

If Klay Thompson returns like he was before and have chemistry with others players, I have no doubt the Warriors could be one of the favorites for this season's NBA title.

For now, we see only Stephen Curry doing the main job which is to help the team get wins by a huge performance. In the absence of Klay Thompson, Golden State Warriors have been depending on Curry nearly all the time. This is not very healthy for a team in NBA. Because if your star player gets injured, you will start having enormous problems to deal with. So I hope the rumours turn out to be true and we can see Klay Thompson starting to play officially.

There was a really competitive game like Indiana Pacers - Golden State Warriors last night. After this highly competitive game, Warriors still managed to win another victory. The final result was 102-100. Warriors played really effectively in the third and last quarters which helped them win the game by a close call. And as always, Curry played a very big role in the win by his performance of 26 pts, 6 reb and 6 ast. At Pacers, Sabonis made a double-double and he was the most scorer of the game too but they still lost by a close gap. He got 30 pts and 11 reb.

It seems like Phoenix Suns have started losing too.  Grin  Last night, they were the away team against Los Angeles Clippers and couldn't prevent a loss by 111-95. Marcus Morris had a big role in Clippers' win here by 24 points and 11 rebounds. And Clippers are having a really nice win streak recently like four games. Even though P. George was absent in the last three games, they still continued to win.

Lossing a game is inevitable, but still you cannot deny the fact that the Phoenix Suns and the GSW are equally good teams currently in the NBA.
However, it's still too early to tell who's going to make it to the playoffs and who's not, because there could be a lot of changes that'll happen for some of the teams once trades happen.
I believe the Lakers have enough pieces  to trade for either Jeramy Grant or Ben Simmons, though they are still rumors but I think the Lakers can't retain and hold on to their current situation.

Lakers need that trade if they can afford it. This current squad is not performing the way fans expect them to perform.

The chemistry among players is not jiving together. My own opinion, I like Simmons even he won't take the shot. There are many players

who can do that part. The coach can use him more for defense. He's good on. That, let Davis and LeBron to take more on their offense and other
role players who can step up when the team needed them.

Looking to see progress with this trade rumor, who knows? Maybe something is cooking behind while the league is  still in this early stage.

Two games of the Chicago Bulls will be postponed due to Covid-19 health and safety protocols.
Who are the players left to play the Lakers in December 20?
Quote
That left the Bulls with the eight available players, the league minimum to field a team. That list includes two players on two-way contracts in Devon Dotson and Tyler Cook, another signed to a 10-day contract last week in Alfonzo McKinnie, and rookie Marko Simonovic, who has played most of the season in the G League.

Good news is the postpone part. Bad news there is a next day game against the Rockets after the Lakers. 2 sure losses will be added in their record.
Not even sure if the stars will be back at December 23 versus the Raptors which might make it 3 losses if they are not permitted yet. Results of the test must be negative first before re-entry.

Listened to Chicago sports radio on the way in to work this morning (actually listening to it right now on my way in) and heard a couple segments about the bulls and it certainly is a good thing they were able to get Adam
Silver to get them to postpone those two games. There are about half of those players on the list set to return by December 22nd and 23rd, but several players will be coming back after that, so the bulls will be on hurt mode for a little bit of time. Crazy to have 10 players in protocol!

What do you expect? When Curry doesn't score that much, usually GSW losses. But when he is hot, then chances are they are going to win. But the win against the Pacer is very close. It not for that Looney miracle follow up, we might see an OT game and Curry might tie or break the record of Ray Allen. But in any case, he can still achieved it next game against the Knicks.

As what the announcer said, Looney at the right place at the right now.

And so they are going to face New York at MSG, so that will be a historic feat if Curry are going to break Allen's record at the Mecca of sports, New York.

For sure he will gun for this one, maybe we can see it happen in the first quarter alone.

And that's why it is a must watch game and witness the greatness of Curry again live.

Detroit Pistons are on an incredibly bad streak now and I guess that they are even getting close to breaking a consecutive loss record. They lost to Brooklyn Nets last night too and this was their 12th loss in a row. I really am curious about what is happening to this team. They lost by 104-116 in their home court and KD's performance was incredibly good. He got 51 points, 7 rebounds, 9 assists. Harden was resting but KD still carried the team superbly.
KD is really known to be a great player in almost all sorts of role in the court that's why it's only natural for him to score that high. No matter what team he'd team-up, he will still be making his best to score and to catch up some leads, that's what makes him a candidate for MVP for almost every year.

Pistons has been buried so much since this season started, having that kind of record and consecutive losses is really tiring to see even for their own players. Their next game will be against Chicago Bulls, another much tougher team than them. I guess it'll be their 13th loss in a row.

Kevin Durant is definitely one of the best players of all-time. Whichever team he goes to in NBA, he continues to show an extraordinary performance. I have watched him at Oklahoma City Thunder, Golden State Warriors and Brooklyn Nets so far. He is a rare talent in NBA history and I hope that he doesn't quit NBA in the near future. He is still 33 now and can play for long years. It is just awesome to watch KD, Curry and LeBron at the same time.
