Congratulations to Paul Lee for winning the 3-point shootout. He didn't even take off his T-shirt while shooting, yet he still won the game. It looks like Paul Lee's 3-point shooting has improved a lot, and the good thing about him is that he is a clutch player, so he is not pressured in tough situations.

His total score was 27 points, Lassiter had 21, and Tiongson had 18, if I'm not mistaken.

Congratulations For Paul lee and he is an old veteran than can still proved to us what he got. Without a doubt Paul lee is one of the best three point shooters in PBA even in the last seconds of the game he can do an impossible or good shot from the outside. Which means he is a clutch player. Even in his old age he can do such things. And for his opponent which lassiter played well but there's only one who can win and that's paul Lee.

We should not miss the all star schedule.

here - https://www.spin.ph/basketball/pba/pba-all-star-weekend-begins-with-skills-challenge-rsj-game-a795-20230310
For more information.

Speaking of betting odds, I don't think any sportsbook would list this on their betting sites because it's just an exhibition game. It's not as popular as the NBA All-Star game, so it may not attract a lot of attention. Also, since it's an exhibition game, bettors might be able to take advantage if they know which team will win.

Was there any betting odds on that particular event? I've been waiting to bet on it, but I missed the action because I didn't realize that the All-Star week had already started. Anyway, congratulations to Paul Lee. He just proved to the young guns that he is still a tough 3-pointer. I saw the highlights, and he even had a turnaround after his last shot, like what Curry usually does. LOL!

You're missing the discussion, we're not talking about Kai but Kobe Paras. But since you've mentioned Kai since he's is about to get his NBA dream soon, once he's done with Hiroshima AFAIK, he's going to head to the US.
I've forgotten if it's with G League or another league that's associated with NBA and that's what he's trying to get on. With the replacement of his manager/handler, I think that he's fairly doing the right thing just after he came from Australia and didn't get that much exposure there but with the experience that he's getting, I'm optimistic and supporting his way to NBA.

He needs to show that he can dominate Japan B-League because he was not able to dominate NBL when he was there. NBA or even D-League will not be interested to him if he cannot even dominate a smaller league. We will see how the Japanese will use Kai in their team. He does not have much playing time in NBL but hopefully he gets more in B-League.
He's given a shorter time by his coach and it's unsurprising because of how foreign coaches understand the built and masculine of their players. Also, he's got a role to play and that's why he's just like a reserve piece there and given small playing time. I'm sure that he's aware that he needs to showcase himself for every league that he's getting in and this is just like a passing time for him because he's got a bigger plan once he's done in B League. This kid is working hard and others don't see it, instead of taking a rest and preparing for the bigger league that I've mentioned where it's like another gateway for his NBA dreams, he chose to take that contract and play in the B League.

If he can land to a SMC or MVP franchise, maybe he can do that but with underdog team, he will just play and be forgotten, I like him in terms of skills but without solid squad the talent will be wasted better to chase for high-paying job overseas if there's still team that interested to sign him instead of going back here and waste his entire career.

Just my own opinion, it will still be depending if how he and his camp will take his career. Nothing is close for now after parting ways with his overseas contract.

If he performs well in his team, in a year or two, SMC or MVP teams will make a way to acquire him. That is if he performs well. I do not know why he is not successful in Japan, but he is athletic and quite skillful.

He's no successful in overseas leagues and that's why I guess he should just go where he's accepted but if another offer comes through the B League and that's for sure that he's gonna accept it. Oh, there are still some other leagues like KBL where he can go.
But one thing is for sure if he ever decides to go back to Phils and wants to join the PBA, for sure most teams are going to be quickly to take him on their sides. I agree to you that he needs to realize it that no success with all of those that he's done, he can do better if he just stays since he tried going even in the US training when he's young and right now, he's not getting younger.

The kid is not improving and for the stats he shows on japan it shows that he still not capable to reach at the highest level like NBA. If kai really want to achieve his target which is to reach at Nba level he need to work with his weaknesses and be more aggressive on the court so that he will be notice by scouts. If he continue to play like this provably no teams on Nba will put some interest to sign him on the top league. He also need to improve his muscles since Basketball is physical game and he need to have more strength so that he will not get overpowered by other strong centers.

Speaking of DYIP, I've just read this rumor that as a first pick for the upcoming 2024 draft, they might pick Kobe Paras as the first pick. I lack of details about that rumor as it has come into the summary of details but what do you think about that guys?

Since Kobe Paras and his former team were part ways already in the Japan B-league just recently, it might be possible.

But when it comes to pride, I doubt Kobe Paras will easily accept it. He surely keeps looking for overseas contracts.

This guy is already overqualified in the PBA but chooses to play overseas and he is even seldom joining the country's national team. Unfortunately, no success outside the country nd if he will come back here to play instead on the PBA, he needs to swallow his pride.

There is a rumor that Franklin will be gone from the PBA. Is it true? I'm sure everyone saw his bad performance in their game against Ginebra. The rumor suggests that Coach Ayo is not happy and they are going to replace him with a new import. I think Franklin is really good, but he may have some attitude problems. Would you agree?
It a was a losing streak for Converge and I think this is not just a rumor and converge will release Franklin as soon as possible as per the news. Too bad for Franklin since I saw a lot potential to him its just that he is not consistent and Converge can’t afford to take such risk if they want to advance in the next round strong. Converge have to find a better import that can work well with the locals, they needed it.

Yes you are right that mate because cobe paras need to accept the fact that he can not enter the NBA anymore but if I were him I won't chasing overseas league anymore I'm am focusing on our own league which is for sure if cobe paras will do that he will became an all-star because we all know through his height and in his skills he can dominate other team and by the help of import he can carry his team.

DYIP almost had this win, and it was an entertaining game, but in the end, Ginebra made sure they would not let DYIP upset them. The performances of Brownlee, Thompson, and Malonzo were impressive in the last few seconds of the game.

Brownlee made a 3-point shot, Malonzo dunked the ball, and although Thompson missed the follow-up shot, he got the offensive rebound, giving Ginebra the ball position.

Congratulations to the winners, as the handicap for DYIP was easily covered.

It is quite exciting. Terrafirma posted a good fight against Ginebra and the game was close until to the last minutes. Terrafirma is still giving their all even though, technically, they are already out of the tournament because of their standing. Ginebra executed perfectly in the last minute of the game though to secure the win.

Next games will be after 6 days as we will see PBA going to another place for the All-Star. Anybody here that is living near the venue or at least will go and watch in person? Cheesy

Ahh, that's the reason why there's a six days gap of PBA games huh but i don't think that many fans are excited to see this non-sense All-Star game now.

Those from Iloilo will surely watch the game since it is not often that PBA players go to their province to play. It is their chance to see the players of PBA in person.

I thought there was a game tomorrow, as I am used to betting on Thursdays. However, there is an All-Star game, so we have to take a break from betting. I believe there won't be any betting odds for the All-Star game. If there are any, then I will bet on the 3-point shooting. Do we already have a list of the participants in the 3-point shooting contest?
It is already listed in wikipedia. But I have not seen the odds yet on a betting site. Here's the link if you want to check out the participants of the event.

This has made me realize that it is when I've checked the schedules. I'm far from the venue but I've got relatives living near to that but I haven't talked to them yet but I am sure that they're probably aware of the PBA all-star weekend is about to happen there starting later on.

I guess I like DYIP to win in the first half.

I don't know what's the odds ML for the DYIP to win in the first half but i'm sure it's above 2.xx. Hope you have not bet for them as Ginebra was leading by four points after two quarters of play. This DYIP team haven't found a way yet to win close games, they also almost won against the Magnolia Hotshots on their last outing but unfortunately, their defense collapsed in the dying seconds of that game.

At least the fans find the game very entertaining, and for sure it is.

I mean for sure many of us are thinking that this game will be a one-sided match knowing that Ginebra will face a bottom team like TerraFirma, but they fought and had the lead at some times, but Ginebra got the last laugh and won the game. Kudos to the Dyip because they didn't gave the win that easily unlike the first game where Magnolia left Blackwater behind at the 3rd quarter of their game.
