Troy will use his card wisely, though if he wanted to keep playing with his usual minutes Then taking Converge offer might be another option but money wise Gin kings is the best one for sure.
Maybe he’s chasing a championship, which is why he accepted a smaller offer - there’s probably a big bonus if they win the title. The great thing about being on a strong team is that if you contribute well, they truly value you. Who knows, Troy might even be one of those players who hits 40+ before retiring. Ginebra really needs an inside scorer, and I think Troy can be the spark they’ve been missing.

Not sure about the position as they've got Holt, Malonso and Adamos which have that same position with him, but knowing coach Tim for surenif Troy will be acquired he already got something in mind to put this star on his rotation, fresh legs with a good capability to adds up on their offensive arsenal,.

He's good in terms of rotating the ball and finding the open man, he got a good shooting percentage and aside from that he can also go strong to the basket for a much better chance to convert.

Though not final yet but i think Troy Rosario will end up signing with the Ginebra Gin Kings. Another rumors has emerged that i have read in my social media wall is that Troy's contract with Ginebra is 700K per month which is lower than the 1.2 million that Converge has offered.

https://www.spin.ph/basketball/pba/free-agent-troy-rosario-signing-with-ginebra-say-sources-a800-20241115?ref=home_featured_big

First when I just read this I though "what the f are they paying guys over there in the Philippines", but then I read the article and saw you are just talking about pesos and not usd.  Tongue
But I guess P750,000 to P800,000 is still a decent amount for a month. I wonder if these contracts are really only for the length of the season, meaning if the season is let's say 4 months you will get 4 paychecks of for example P750,000. Normally salary is calculated per year/season, first time I saw it like this. Maybe because the season is always so short in the PBA and they have basically 3 seasons/cups with the Philippine Cup, the Commissioner's Cup, and the Governors' Cup.

I've read this from Snow. Troy was just waiting for the final negotiations with Ginebra. Converge's offer will be gone since they're the first one to offer and if I were him, I'd choose the FiberXers than the Ginebra. But as we know, the benefits and perks from Ginebra is way better than the others and that's why majority of the PBA players are aiming to go into RSA/MVP teams but mostly with RSA teams because that it also offers livelihood after retirement.

Money wise Gin kings can provide him decently aside from the sign offers there are perks behind the table knowing how decent it was for RSA's employees the very reason why known stars really wanted to be part of the groups whether SMB , GSMB or Mags they are being cared not only while they are still playing but they also gaining decent retirement livelihood after.

Troy will use his card wisely, though if he wanted to keep playing with his usual minutes Then taking Converge offer might be another option but money wise Gin kings is the best one for sure.

They have a strong and competitive core now, with Balti and Heading  they added firepower players who can add decent numbers both defense and offense they just need to blend and established that good chemistry alongside with each other , like you mentioned Heading is a good outside shooter with Stockton attacking the basket he can now drop it to heading or with Balti which is a good inside big man, though too early for assuming we need to see them playing together to see if they'll be able to create  a much better competitive squad.

Wow, great news for Converge acquiring Jordan Heading! This kid will definitely boost their lineup. They almost beat San Miguel in the quarterfinals but lacked the firepower. With Balti and Heading now on their roster, they are sure to be one of the teams to beat in the upcoming Commissioner’s Cup and All-Filipino Cup.

BTW, does anyone knows when the PBA will resume?

Yeah with Stockton and Arana working both inside and outside adding additional firepower to your squad will give you a decent chance to compete, I like the way they are playing last season as they are maturing and they are showing their competitiveness with both Balti and Heading which both have overseas experienced they can use it as a tool to help, it's no longer new for both of them to play tough since they've always playing with a lot of pressures from the previous leagues that they've played.

Hopefully, they can be like Alaska, able to win a championship too. Since Converge doesn’t have a sister team, they’ll have a fairer shot with no "bigayan" happening. They’re improving bit by bit, maybe adding some more veterans would help, like how Cabagnot’s presence made a difference for them. It would’ve been great if Arwind Santos hadn’t retired and they sign him; Spider-Man probably still has some fuel left in him.

Good news for Converge… we all know this player is talented, and we often see him playing for Gilas. So if he’s already have a PBA team then good but I haven't seen him played yet...Well, if this would happen, it will make converge stronger as they are a very competitive team.

Converge acquires Heading from Terrafirma in exchange for 2 players, draft pick

Quote
COACHES Franco Atienza, Charles Tiu and Rajko Toroman know well that Jordan Heading would be a vital piece for Converge.

And so, Converge acquired Heading from Terrafirma by trading guard Aljun Melecio, Keith Zaldivar and its first round pick in Season 51 to the Dyip.

Heading was selected first by Terrafirma in Season 47 Gilas Special Draft but never played for the Dyip. Instead, the Fil-Aussie, known for his outside shooting, took his talent overseas with stints in Japan, Taiwan and Australia.

The acquisition of Heading and the impending arrival of No. 1 rookie pick Justine Baltazar, who is set to join Converge at the end of Pampanga's campaign in the MPBL should add depth to the FiberXers, who made the playoffs of the recently concluded Governors' Cup.

The former Gilas Pilipinas pool member had his last overseas stint with the West Adelaide Bearcats in the NBL1 last season where he averaged 15.5 points, 3.6 rebounds, and 3.8 assists.

Like you, that's also puzzle me as he got that skills and talents and being part of the gilas where he added decent stats but instead of keeping him TNT trade him up, not sure if there's  a problem behind or there's something about the money which the most usual issue with players who played for TNT, maybe or maybe the management see him not that long term talent that's why they traded him.

I think he was a bit injured at that time, and then TNT decided to trade him. Troy’s a good player, he even stood out as one of the best in some games when he was still with TNT. But we don’t really know what happened behind the scenes; there are always a lot of factors a team considers when they decide to keep or let go of a player.

Not a 100% sure but I guess he's more fit playing for Magnolia than taking his chance playing for either SMB or Ginebra, just saying as I like him taking more time playing than being bench and lost his confidence just like what happened to those trades for these two super teams.
So no team has signed Troy yet, huh? I read a rumor before that Ginebra was interested, but until it’s official, we can’t say for sure.

This is what happened before..

PBA: Troy Rosario not surprised by trade to Blackwater

Quote
Disappointed, but not surprised. This was Troy Rosario's reaction to being part of a three-team trade that ended his seven-year stint with the TNT Tropang GIGA.

Rosario and sharpshooter Gab Banal were sent by TNT to Blackwater in exchange for Calvin Oftana and Raul Soyud, who had been earlier acquired by the Bossing in a separate deal with the NLEX Road Warriors.

Pointing this one for Troy which direction he might choose MVP again or SMC now? still no update but he already giving hints that he's now moving to his new team, I guess we will just need to wait for his final update if where he will play this upcoming season.

Troy Rosario’s journey in the PBA is both interesting and exciting for me. I’m not sure why TNT released him, as he was a crucial player for their championship campaign. With MVP already having released him to other teams, I think the next team to pursue his services might be an SMC team, specifically San Miguel.

Alright, it has been concluded. TNT is the champ for this conference. Congratulations to those that have bet for the team.
Castro is the finals MVP. Well deserved although many of us thought that it's going to be Calvin Oftana.

Yeah right, it was concluded and congrats Ka-tropang giga for winning the title, they deserve the win as they played so well it's really a team effort though with the good leadership of RHJ and Castro together with all those players who has been given the chance to play and share whatever they can to adds up for this win.

Gin kings unable to force the game to a do or die as TNT response to their system and manage out run then especially in the final quarter.
Yeah, well done for both teams. I am sure that the TNT Tropang Giga boys have got a nice decent cash incentives for winning this conference's title.
Now, waiting for the upcoming change of roster and acquisition of the players that are free agents as of the moment.

but Pogoy’s three-pointers in the 4th quarter were definitely game-changers. And here's the thing, TNT had a great start in the 4th, going on an 8-0 run that evened things up at 74-74, forcing Ginebra to call a timeout. TNT's defense was also solid in the 4th, and it felt like Abbarientos ran out of luck, which left Ginebra short.
Yeah noticed it, maybe its because during the after party I heard that its their wedding anniversart plus his wife is pregnant now their champion its like a blessings for him to win this championship and bonus for his personal affair. The threes are solid from him but the games final mvp belongs to Castro which is truly an OG on pba league. At his age, he still able to grab a title award.

Pugoy's sealing the game after hitting that 3', gin kings unable to bounce back after JBL missed his shot, it's good to hear that there's special occations that brings boost for Pugoy but same with you, JC at his age shows something huge, a pride coming inside him showing RJ that he's still exist and still capable to play his usual game.

Oh, so Pogoy’s got another baby on the way! I saw him holding a kid during the pictorial, so that’s their second...
Back-to-back champs and now back-to-back babies too, talk about luck! But he really delivered when it counted, hitting three 3-pointers in the 4th quarter. Those were daggers that Ginebra just couldn’t recover from.

I'm glad that I didn't go all in on Brgy. Ginebra yesterday, because I am really hoping there will be a do-or-die game.
The Win of TNT yesterday was really unexpected even though the odds in all of their matches were in favor of Brgy. Ginebra.
Well, let's move forward. Any idea guys when the regular season will start again?

See you next conference, kabayan! For sure, Brownlee and RHJ will still be there, but hopefully, Ginebra will be in better shape health-wise.
