Just another day for Gin kings, same with other teams losing is part of the game, they just need to move forward and try bouncing back then start winning again.

It's like Ginebra was really eyeing to go a win against the Bay Area Dragons. The confidence is high, the eagerness is high, and the determination is high to the fact that facing a team as tough as Bay Area Dragons can really bring excitement as beating this team can erase the thoughts of their critics that they are nothing against this team.

Watching the early quarters of their game against Phoenix it seems that BGSM is just playing relaxed. Not saying they are comfortable to win but Phoenix also has the feeling I mentioned above as Ginebra is a tough team to beat. BGSM just become aggressive when they are still behind with a few minutes remaining on the regulations and as mentioned above, that's the first time Brownlee confronts a player defending him and that is even a rookie. As I watched the replay of that play, Brownlee should just let it go as that was part of the game. But since they are trying to catch up with the scores, maybe frustrations arise from him which is unusual for him.

There's also a play where Japeth Aguilar connects a shoulder right in front of the face of whom he is defending which is something that shouldn't happen. I don't know what happened to Ginebra but yes, as you said, just another day for a team that even a Favorite to win, upset can still happen. Phoenix on the other hand is not that weak to consider.

I was not able to watch the game but it was really upsetting and very unlikely of Ginebra. Are we being played by these teams? Are they also betting on online casinos, and they choose to win big than win on the game.

Phoenix Fuelmasters just played well on that night. Not because it's Ginebra, they will automatically win the game. Don't underestimate the Phoenix and just because they win there's already magic done on that game. The Phoenix rookie even destroys the momentum of Justin Brownlee.

Brownlee is seen first time getting frustrated when someone is defending him. That Phoenix rookie did a good job on that.
As always, seeing either MVP or SMC team being defeated by an independent team makes me happy Smiley. Even the Bossing when they defeated the SMB, I was quite happy even though I'm a SMB fan because it shows that in this unbalanced league, there are still independent/farm teams that are still winning against these giant companies.

Fuelmasters have underrated players that they can developed and help the team. Tio, the second pick Serrano and even those veterans like Anthony, Azul and also Mocon who has 4 20+ point games already in this conference. The sad part only is the team will be sold soon.

The Ginebra already lost twice to independent teams and congratulations to the Phoenix as they already beat NLEX (MVP team) and Ginebra (SMC team).

I was suprise with Gin kings laest loss, Phoenix was quitely playing the game with confidence with each other, sad to say that they are soon be sold to another franchise, but it was a good experienced and a boost for this team after beating Gin kings maybe they will now gaining that confidence to compete and win more games.

What an upset, after Ginebra beat Bay area Dragons, now they lose to the Phoenix.

Best player of the game is Tyler Tio, I think this is his 2nd player of game award, and as a rookie, this guy really deserves the recognition.
Ginebra is very unpredictable now, they already have two losses this conference so far, can we still expect them to be a great contender of a championship?

That's the thing we don't know my friend, but if you look at it from another angle, they beat a tough team to beat the Bay Area Dragons, and then they lost to Phoenix which in fact and we look at it was easier to beat than Bay Area Dragons. But why did it happen, that's the question.

In my opinion, Ginebra will not be able to maintain the strong defense they did against the Bay Area Dragons and also the teamwork consistency, because if they can maintain that, for sure they will not lose to Phoenix, but even so, it looks like they will have a hard time in the next match them, I just hope it doesn't add disappointment to their supporters.

Defending Brownlee will be the top priority and Phoenix did a great job on that though they didn't stop Brownlee that much but it helps them to generate more score and that's a winning strategy for Phoenix. Well, no more safe team here in PBA and every team can experience an upset and the next challenge for most of the team here is to beat Magnolia, we might be able to see that as we are near to enter the playoffs. Ginebra should adjust their game plays accordingly, it will be hard for them if they stay with their game play.

As I watched that game, seems we can't apply that possible manipulation applied on that game.

The officiating are fair for me and they played hard. Phoenix also can keep up on their offense and defense against Ginebra.

Unlikely performance for Ginebra but I think we should also congratulate Phoenix on winning that game.

Are they also betting on online casinos, and they choose to win big than win on the game. This is just a theory but this happened in MPBL, hopefully it's not happening here in PBA.

Haha, I think that just an upset win by Phoenix and a bad night for the Ginebra Kings, things like this always happened in the PBA in the early part of the tournament, and just like I said in my post months ago that betting for the underdogs this early in the elimination is a little bit profitable  Smiley.

I wasn't able to watch the game as well and obviously, stunned to see the result. But if I bet on that game I will go with Ginebra and probably losing some sats right now. So congrats to those who bet on the underdog, for sure a good win and very profitable.

Also heard about these rigged games in the MPBL which is why I don't bet on that league, doing dirty things in the MPBL might be possible as the players are not so popular that they are not afraid if caught unlike in the PBA that players are popular and earnings much more so being accused of rigging games might damage their reputations and earning potentials.

True, I have nothing against MPBL, but it seems there are noises about rigging the games. It could be for their benefit or someone in the team is deliberately taking a dive. Anyhow, not betting on this league as well.

I read that June Mar Fajardo is injured and will miss a few games. Do you think he will be playing against the bay area dragons? I am anticipating that game and wanted to see how he will match up against the big men of the Dragons. It is bad timing that he got injured before that game.

As far as I know, JuneMar Fajardo is now ruled out*** for SMB against the Bay Area Dragons.

Really an unfortunate thing that happened as I want to see how the full SMB team will compete against the Dragons.

A bad timing now that Fajardo is seems returning to his MVP form, especially last conference.

That is quite unfortunate. I also wanted to see him play against the big man of bay dragons. Because of the short format of this conference, we might not see them play against the dragon until maybe semis or finals. Anyway, hopefully Junemar will be back in full force when he meets them in the future. It will be a good match for sure.

The game was too close but Phoenix able to made good points to take a win and this should be a lesson for Ginebra not to be complacent. The way Phoenix have the lead on the early part of the game you can tell already that Ginebra was not that strong on this game. They can be a contender only if they are able to enter the semi-finals round, but for now they have to work on that consistently.
Phoenix is not that bad, and Ginebra lose because of poor plays though, they are able to have some leads when Phoenix have a problem with turnover but Ginebra was not able to stay with that lead especially in the 4th quarter. I lose some bet since I thought Ginebra will enter into a winning streak after they won against Bay Area, now this is a big upset for them and I wonder as well if they can still have a chance to at least fight for the title.

As of my observations based on their previous matchup with ginebra, this season are need more adjustment and good timing as we saw ginebra vs Bay area Dragons then we can say that they are strong enough to face other tough team but now as we all know that Phoenix is not a tough team but They loss. So ginebra need to take an action about this. Honestly I do believe that ginebra will go up to the semi for this season.

That upset gave me a good winning tonight.

I'm with Ginebra in this game, but since i was not able to bet on pregame, I just took a live bet on the other side. Not even watching this game as I was thinking Ginebra will just dominate, and that upset happened.

Breaking news about Jason Castro, he signed a three-year contract extension for TNT.
He deserves it and probably he's seeing himself retiring for TNT and hopefully TNT will give him another opportunity after that, if ever he decides to retire.
Well-deserved contract extension after how he played in the PBA Finals despite of having an injury.
I mean he is the captain of the TNT, and he is like the centerpiece of the team. Without him, the team will be completely different.

I guess he will retire as a TNT player. He will be 39 years old after the contract and maybe he can still play one more year after retiring or he might be given a contract but now under the coaching staff. Who knows but I still see him as a good player still until now. I just hope that in these 3 years, he will get another title.
Yes, he deserved it, we all know how good and hard-working Jason Castro is. I can still remember how he had performed last season in the finals for their last game. As much as we want to see him nailing the championship but it's not just enough.
What I'm thinking is that, when he retires, he'll be taken as part of coaching.

If he wasn't injured, the series would be more fun to watch. About the coaching job, well, if he has that passion, then most likely he will become a coach, part of the coaching staff I mean. Jayson also has a business, so he could also focus on his business after retirement.

2nd game will be Ginebra vs Phoenix, Ginebra is currently -8.5. For me, the spread is quite high but still very attractive as a strong Bay Area beat the Phoenix by 10 points, so Ginebra might win with a double-digit as well. That's all for the last game, place your bets guys and good luck to us.

I will take that as well, they are coming from a big win, so they have oozing confidence going to this game. Import to import match up. Import to import match up, still Brownlee has the edge, so Phoenix is not going to be a problem for Ginebra, while they are winning, it's always good to back them, let's just hope it will still be another blowout win.

SMB have no more choice but to deal with it, they should adjust their gaming strategy and put someone that can put the defensive plays of JMF.
Bay Area might see a good advantage here over SMB but they should also not take that for granted because SMB is a champion team.
SMB should also activate their import, they might be able to compete with Bay Area on a close scoring game. We will find this out!

Nothing but to try competing SMB still have that capability even without Fajardo, they still got everyone who can explode and produce decent numbers, I see your point with SMB's import he needed to step up and try lifting the whole team, without Fajardo the rotation might change I mean the ball rotations and the system which mostly focus with Fajardo.

Now, all those explosive guards are needed to make something, or, it is also possible for SMB to let this game go as there are still many games to win before the second round.

But, I'm still rooting for my favorite team to play tough and try to win this game against the visiting team.
