Coach Yeng debut as a new head coach of ROS has been ruined by his previous team.  Smiley

IIRC, NLEX were +8.5 underdog, but it turns out they are the better team in this game.
Big game for their import, and the locals have contributed as well.

I'm wondering what was the moneyline for NLEX? It's probably one of the best upset that happen this commissioner's cup so far, with a good import, even an average team could pull up a surprise, so we are now in an unpredictable conference.

Tomorrow we have two games.

1- Northport vs Bay Area Dragons.
2- Phoenix vs Bossing.

With the guest team and the trades that take place, we might see some good twist around.
The good twist would only happen on the big teams like the SMB and Pangilinan teams, others are just farm teams.

Though still the dominance of those big companies is still present, but who knows, maybe surprise and upset may happen from independent teams.
I like to see that surprise you are talking, this guess team has not face TNT, SMB, and Ginebra, maybe we can see a real competition as these teams have good imports and local players as well.

He is Liu Chuanxing, 7 foot 5 inches in height and he is there to make the life of June Mar miserable. Cheesy

I do not think June Mar can totally stop this guy alone if he decides to impose his dominance in the paint. June mar will need help from his teammates to be able to stop this guy. Luckily, basketball is a team sport so June Mar will not have to do it alone.

I'm not going to buy the possibility that Fajardo will take the challenge or coach Leo will assign him I think it will be the import that will take this big center, SMB will not risk Fajardo he's not getting any younger maybe he will be assign to guard him but investment wise SMB will think for more years that Fajardo will be healthier instead of giving him that hard task.

That big man is not an ordinary big but he also have that fundamentals that will really be a pain in the ass whoever will take him, don't get me wrong but I'm all with the business so my personal take is for the future of SMB.
Their import is 6 foot 10 inches, and I don't know if he can defend that big alone so I guess Coach Leo will do the strategy that he already did against the TNT in the PH Cup.

I think he will play Robinson, Fajardo and Tautuaa more often. 2 of them will play at the same time if this Liu Chuanxing will play. Just basing on his stats in the first game, this big isn't their starting one and I guess he isn't that athletic but his presence in the paint will surely be a big factor.

June Mar alone can't stop him but with 2 guys and a good rotation, I think they can at least lessen his efficiency. With regards to Liu's defense, June Mar can shoot perimeter shots as well so I guess we will see JMF shooting more on the perimeter than in close range. Overall, it will be hard for SMB, but I think they can defeat the Dragons. Let's see in the future.

I can agree with you, SMB have enough big man to help Fajardo knowing coach Leo he will rotate and play his card wisely, though they've got enough arsenal to go to war against any teams and with that last season performances that we saw from the entire team it's not just Fajardo who's playing well but the chemistry of the entire teams are already established.

With the guest team and the trades that take place, we might see some good twist around.

Junemar is no doubt the best player in the PBA, but now, he has a bigger opponent, I think younger than him and maybe stronger than him, I don't want to speculate so much as I think he will give this giant a good challenge, and who knows, SMB might bet this good team.

Not a fan of PBA, but yeah I've heard of the Chinese giant guest team participating in the Philippine basketball league. This will literally give the PBA teams the chance to improve themselves as they have been restricting heights from the imports. No wonder good players were leaving the league and play overseas, because it can give them better career, league opponents, and high salary of course compared to PBA.
It feels like when you're in the PBA and you dominate the league, then that's your limit you don't necessary need to improve yourself. I can see the same teams competing in the finals every year.

The number reason is the high salary, the better competitiveness is only the 2nd because PBA is very competitive as well. Well, this guess team is just very dominant, they beat the Blackwater the other day with a huge margin, they really look good, so let's see if they can do it again.

That would be a great matchup and for sure many fans are going too watch that when our very own Junemar Fajardo battles Liu Chuanxing. Offensively, Junemar will most likely struggle against this giant as we all know that he had problems operating inside the paint when his guard is taller than him, we have seen that when he is up against Slaughter but it is very interesting how he will adjust.

I do agree, it will be a big test for JunMar to play against the giant. Not just him to be fair though, every team will be a nightmare match up for this behemoth.

But we will see how good JunMar really is, if he can score at low post or battle him out in the boards. And if will just show how our locals will do because we haven't seen someone as big as Liu in our league.

It will be hard to control that giant alone since no one in PBA can match him. It will be a team effort to take him on.

It will be really hard to deal with Bay Area Dragons since Liu is not even their main man. I think Powell will deliver more damage to their opponents. He is fast and can drive to the basket and shoot. There are other players too that could shoot from 3. Opponent teams cannot just focus on Liu since they can just kick the ball out for 3. And if they guard outside, Liu will dominate them from the paint.

It will give great headaches to the head coach of their opponents how they will deal with this team.

This is a huge test for Junemar to show his capabilities on more bigger opponent since if he can dominate that tall guy and his team can able to win then provably they will get all the praise coming from PBA fans. Although this is a tough match up to them but for sure they will be more challenge on this since this will totally give them good experience as a team.

Well, just like the comment that I've read before that he stopped watching PBA because he only sees two teams each time in the finals. It's either SMB or MVP that are going to lead to the finals and that's why it's no longer that reliable even if other teams are competitive as well. But due to the trades, they're making a strong team stronger because of that advantage of sister teams and farm teams trade.

Kind of comments that circulating around will push away other fans to watch and support this league, knowing only two companies that are enjoying the privileges. Nothing is impossible for these two rivals, business owners. Like what I've said before, the league official are not willing to listen with the people who keep on voicing their opinions about what is happening around.

Eventually we will see more and more social media post about it, and with the drama PBA's official are creating regarding to those potential talents to play overseas, they are just messing more.
It has become a business for the big companies that we always see in the finals. While the other teams, don't have the sense of urgency of winning a title because they're making money from the trades that these big companies are doing. That's why great talents from this league are going away abroad because it's no longer a competitive league and it's not healthy for them to stay.

Good thing the best teams in the PBA now have good competition with this team, we saw how dominant they were, I guess they'll be listed as heavy favorites in the bookies in every game. They are up against Northport next game this Saturday, so we should not miss this game.
Yeah, that's for sure. It'll be the favorite team from now on of how promising the roster of this guest team is.

Bay Area dragon is very tough team and I think that they have a chance to claim the trophy because as we all know that they have a good center which 7 foot 5 tall and that's makes them as advantage not just all they have also myles powel which very energetic and fast in terms of handling the ball. Also their forwards big man has a capability in three point shot so it's hard to the local team's to defeat the guess team.
Maybe BAD( Bay Area dragons) teams will be the first guess to became a champion.

We have only seen one official game from Bay Area and their opponent is not that tough. We are yet to see how they will perform against a tougher team in PBA. Though by the looks of it, even the top teams in the PBA will have a hard time. They may sweep the elimination rounds but it will be a different story comes playoff time.

If there is anything that can be exposed from their offense or defense, I guess it will come out in the playoffs round.  Teams can adjust better against them since they will be in a series. It will lie in the brilliant minds of the coach how they will make the life of the 7'5" center miserable in the paint if that is even possible.

Can June Mar Fajardo even stop him?

What's the name of the Center, and his height?

I'm unaware, so this Bay Area Dragon is a new team?

They are like a superteam and I see in the schedules that they have games as well on other teams, I think even the SMB will have a hard time winning against Bay Area Dragon.
It's a guest team for this conference. I doubt it that SMB can beat them or even Ginebra. But we'll see.

Bay area dragon's have solid line up and don't know how the teams in PBA can stop the 7'5 center together with their Myles Powell. For sure even the star studied team of Mvp and Smb group will find a hard time to defeat the guess team on this conference. For sure on every games of Dragons they will be the fan favorite since what they did to Blackwater is truly dominating.

Although we know the Blackwater is not top team in the league but this shows how good the line up brought up by the Dragons on PBA.
