The game between Ginebra and ROS is very surprising, there's no way Ginebra will be able to come back in this game.

ROS now is leading the game with 49-72, and it seemed like Brownlee has been struggling with only 14 points so far.
I'm sure everyone has put their bet on Ginebra, but sorry guys, it's an upset tonight.
This is quiet disappointed, I guess they still need to do more practice and play well with their import it looks like a first game jitters.
Kudos to ROS for playing all out and Ginebra is not an easy team to beat and yet they are able to do so. I can say that this commissioners cup is really exciting with full of surprises. Too early to say but I still believe GInebra will bounce back this conference, let's see if they can adjust on their next game.

ROS did bounce back hard with a big win, I like what they did, they look inspired this season, probably because they have their old coach back again and for sure coach Yeng is very serious in trying to win another championship again, but the question is, can they stay consistent?

Yes, Gin kings are unable to come back, final score 93-71 that good rotation of RoS manage to maintain the lead and they win the game. Not sure what happens with the players, but seems that they are struggling and the chemistry is still unestablished.

When it comes to chemistry, I think it should be the Ginebra who should have the better one since Brownlee has been their consistent import, maybe it's juts a bad game for the team but we have to respect the ROS as well, they are a good team under coach Yeng and they have proven that tonight.

PBA really making a huge noise a lot of drama to gather attentions maybe they are trying anything to gain those interests from the viewers. They are following the saying that even negative publicity is still a publicity, hahaha Grin Roll Eyes kidding aside, My personal take on that note is very possible, PBA is controlled by SMC and MVP they can simply request for that schedule to see how the visiting team play and scout them to make sure that they are well prepared before they met.

If this issue will be proven, surely the interest of those possible additional visiting teams will be lesser. They might not take that effort to join with the league that fully manipulated.

It has been for a very long time. Comm. Marcial has been a puppet to these 2 big companies that this league has been focusing on them only. Unbalanced trades, only SMC and MVP teams are the ones we are seeing competing with each other. Independent teams becoming farming teams of these 2 companies. Our commissioner has been a puppet for a very long time.

Negative publicity is still publicity yes, but we are starting the negative impact of it now. People aren't interested anymore in watching the game live, PH players playing outside PH because of how PBA is right now and there are some who are just opting to play in their respective places. In the future, we might see some players hanging their jersey in the PBA to play in the MPBL where there are more audiences.

For sure this will not be proven but it's pretty obvious already that they are manipulating the league. I'm also thinking, what if we will change the commissioner? Will something change to how PBA is right now?

Change people but same authority, I mean even you replace Marcial but if the replacement will remain a puppet, there's nothing that will be a change in terms of handling the situation, I know it is out of topic but if MPBL will continue to be supported like this it also possible that fans attentions will be shifted to this league, I mean in terms of national media, PBA will suffer for sure.

Calling about changing the coach of Gilas didn't work because they still choose Chot Reyes eventhough there's is an overwhelming calling for him to resign but the SBP official didn't listen to what fans chant or request. How much more with the commissioner? Where they are much benefiting on it for sure that guy will stay long on PBA because he always follow the order of big companies on the league. PBA need a total revamp since if they keep doing those unfair trades then for sure they can see huge drop of people's interest to watch their league.

Maybe that is the truth, but we cannot blame the fans for coming up with that speculation because the commissioner is heavily favoring these SMC and MVP teams. I had the same reaction the first time I saw the schedule and how good the guest team is. And because of the actions of the commissioner, even if it was of good faith, fans will always put a bad light on it.
Yes, they should be always open to those speculations from the fans because they always do that favor to the SMC/MVP teams.
The PBA is already aware of these and yet, they still keep on doing actions that will make their fans go with those hates and speculations that would be against to them.
If I'm the one making a schedule, I would make a hype on its very first opening day like making it Bay Area Dragons versus Ginebra.

Tomorrow, Ginebra will be playing against ROS, let us see if the arena will be filled.

It is a weekday; I am not expecting that many to watch the games even if Ginebra is playing. If it is a weekend, I expect it to have a decent attendance. I only full venue during playoffs and finals, I seldom see them during elimination.

Manipulating the game schedules is too much and i don't think they did that because as per observation, it is usually the teams that exited early on the last conferences will have to play a game or two before the teams that have played on the semi-finals and finals of that conference, might be a sort of favor for them to extend their rest period.

Make sense and it's reality just riding with the rumors and dramas so I just replying with those kinds of dramas around PBA, but clarifying your statement and I agree that those teams manage to play during the playoffs and maybe the format for visiting teams are arrange like that, no manipulation at all Roll Eyes Tongue crossing my fingers though.

With the bad weather and Gin kings will be playing against RoS. Maybe there are still die hard, fans but the numbers might be lesser.

Aside from that award-related issues regarding guest teams, there are speculations that PBA intentionally modified the schedule of the Bay Area Dragons to face first those teams that are not on the top tier. In that way, top-tier teams like SMB, Ginebra, or TNT can scout first the skills and talents of this guest team to fully prepare once they will now faced-off against the Dragons.

What's your take on that speculation guys? It does make sense or not? Smiley

Totally obvious fighting them with farm teams on opening day will make people question if they are really serious or not. They keep doing their magic tricks in the league that's why this adds up another reason why their fans go away and let see if big teams will fight against the guess team if they cannot fill the venue then meaning fans are totally done with PBA since if fan keep ignoring to see what supposed to be a good match up on this two giant corporate teams against bay area dragons we can say this is really bad for them.

Well, it's been noticed but there's no way to change that anymore as long as they'll be able to fight with all teams then that it should be.
It's noticeable that the best teams were the last to face the Bay Area Dragons. It makes sense and that's why we just hope that the SMB, TNT, Ginebra could beat the Dragons when it's already their schedule.

If it's Sunday the Arena may be filled, but since tomorrow is Wednesday, I think they will not be able to fill the stadium. As long as the game is exciting, it will not only entertain the fans that are going to the venue, but also the fans watching the game live on their TV and those who watch through live streaming.

There's no need to talk about the obvious and I've seen lots of posts here already suggesting solutions to make PBA more interesting to watch. With all the drama, it's not good for the PBA because star players are leaving but PBA still did not make action to improve the league.

-   It's possible that that speculation is true, because we know they will have a hard time beating the Bay area Dragons even if we say it's SMB, TNT or Ginebra. And I think they should prepare well for the Bay area dragons, because let's face it, the height and defense of the dragons is also very strong, so it can be said that it is not a joke that SMB and Ginebra collide.

So for me it is only right that they scout first to study the moves of each player of the Bay area dragons, so that they know the next step they will take when they face the Bay dragons again.

But unfortunately they got all bashing from their supposed to be fans and people are losing interest to watch every game. We can feel it actually by their attendees also they are not gaining any sympathy towards the action they do because we all know that what's happening there is pure politics and only those big companies are benefiting while the independent ones are suffering. If they cannot change their system maybe for sure we can see the full collapsed of PBA and fans is starting to move on since there is MPBL which is I think the fans favorite at the moment since it represent the city not the company as what I read in the comments in social media.

Guaranteed to fill the Mall of Asia Arena again, let's expect the match between Converge and Ginebra to be another intense battle in the middle of the game between these two teams.
Wait, I think we have Ginebra vs Rain or Shine tomorrow, so no Converge yet.
You can see on the schedule of the game. - https://pba.ph/

I like Ginebra is good but i I like to see how ROS will play, they lose their first game if IIRC, so they need to bounce back strong.

So, no game today because of the super typhoon that will hit Luzon this evening so be careful everyone, this is a strong typhoon and its destruction might be massive like what happened to us when we were hit by Oddeth.

Yes, they announced that games today are postponed.

https://pba.ph/news/pba-postpones-sunday-s-double-header-pba-3x3-leg-3

So see you on Wednesday, I'm sure there will be no more postponements at that time.
As for SMB vs Bay Dragons, I think it's gonna be a great match up, but I still think that SMB will be the underdog, so I'm gonna take chances betting on SMB.

It's also a good fight, to be honest. And I think Ginebra will only play this Converge team, although I'm not a Ginebra fan. But I can see the strength and talent of Ginebra when it comes to the PBA game.
