Same question here? hahaha Grin not sure if something has been cook behind there are post in social media that a tension happen after the game when both teams are going to their locker room, some of my friends who bet form Ginebra are very disappointed and calling it "hulog" as always when bettors can't accept the outcome they will find ways to release that disappointment.
Saw a video circulating online about a tension between Arvin Tolentino and Raymar Jose going into their locker room, looks like trash talking goes beyond the limit. Meralco did a great job on every fields, they won convincingly and there’s no doubt about this. On the other side we know how Ginebra plays the game, I’m pretty sure they will bounce back in Game two they just need to help Bronwlee in scoring and have a greater defense next game.

Meralco drew first blood with a score of 104 -91. What an effort by the role players of Meralco especially Aaron Black who scored 12 points with most of it in the third quarter when Ginebra was making a run to close the gap.

Also, the three-point shooting of the Bolts was amazing, making 11 out of 21 attempts, pretty high for a team not known for making a living in the rainbow area.

Who's the lucky guy who bet for the Bolts today?

I didn’t expect to see Meralco win the first game and this is why I skip to bet, but I’m preparing now to place my Bet to Ginebra in the next game because I know they will bounce back and tied the game. I also notice the three point shots of Meralco, they did a great job on this and the result is really good for them. Rumors spread by Ginebra fans that losing meant for them in the game one, well I didn’t believe on this because Ginebra also did their best to even make the score closer, the game is intense as expected and let’s move on to the game 2.

But it's true, that 3 points conversions of Meralco help them to survive this game.

Better luck next time, more money for sure to flows for Ginebra fans and gamblers will expect them to bounce back.

Meralco drew first blood as they won in Game 1 against the Ginebra 104-93.
Just by looking at the stat sheet in their website, I'm amazed on how locals on Meralco played right now.

I mean they have an import yes but the scoring isn't centered on him but it was even distributed into the other players. 5 players of them scored in double digits compare to 3 on Ginebra.
Didn't watched the whole game though which is quite unfortunate but as expected, there are so many fans who watched the game (mostly Ginebra Fans). Well, its only Game 1 and I expect this series to be a close one but it will still be Ginebra on 6. What's your prediction with this series?

By the way there's a rumor that Romeo will be traded to Northport for Bollick and Malonzo, is this even possible?

If that's true, the SMB is now making a move.

I was really expecting it even before that the best players from lower teams will be farmed soon by SMC, especially on the SMB team. To make it fair, equal and square in the eyes of the community, they will trade their best players to call it fair.

SMB always get what they want. We will just be surprised by the news "SMB acquires Bolick and Malonzo, shipped away Romeo" something sports headline like that.

No longer new to this league, If SMB wants something they can do things that seem legal and fair.
It's no question about the teams' capabilities to work things behind close door with the team that they wanted to farm
a good player/s. Maybe they are releasing Romeo since the guy has some personal issue and his commitment to the
game is bothered by the case that being filed against him, letting him go is the best option for SMB. They didn't work well from
that last two past conferences, it's time to bring new faces and talents to help the team. Wink

Nothing is impossible in the PBA when money talks lol. I have heard so many times regarding that rumor so will just wait for some time for that to come true. Northport will always be a farm team of SMB.
Yup.
Everything is possible when it comes to trades. It's just all about the agreement and the amount based on the asking price and what will be the other trade that's part of it.
Who knows that these rumors has an accurate source if it's possible and for now, let's just wait until this finals ends.
I guess not just Romeo but other notable players as well was part of this trade including Lassiter. Northport will not just select few small names in this trade I guess they need to upgrade their roster this time and if that happens, Romeo will find himself a home again at Northport. I mean it's not bad, as you said it will be on agreements and if the deal is seal then that's it.

So, game 1 of the Finals will begin this evening and if we look at the odds it is pretty attractive for those who will bet on Ginebra because the spread is not too high considering how underdog this Meralco team is.

Just a little bit of trivia, Justin Brownlee has never been beaten in the Finals in the PBA and he won three against Allen Durham and the Bolts so this might give an insight on whom to bet for this evening  Grin.
PBA system is not fair so I guess you are right with that since North Port doesn't show anything that can give them a good shot, they mostly trade their stars that's why they will go like that and always end up sloppy on their campaigns. I guess they really need to fix the system because if they remain like this and the team always win will be those big corporations for sure we will not see this league to continue for more decades.

I guess Brown Lee will still win this since they have solid rooster on their team and it's not a surprising at all if his team will win the championship.

Indeed, just like foreigner playing as import in the PBA getting a bigger salary than the locals.

Yes, but we are used to see Americans playing as import in PH not Filipinos playing as import abroad. I mean, it's a big recognition for the Filipino professional players getting an offer abroad as it does not happen all the time and we owe that to the B-League.

AFAIK, only one Filipino are playing in big leagues like the NBL in Australia and that is Kai Sotto.
The door was opened after the international performance of our very own Gilas, they show to the world that our raised is also competitive playing this game, Japan's B-League is a good venue for pinoy stars who wanted to experience playing outside the PBA, they've been given good opportunities to showcase their talents and bring our flag up.

Glad to see that both the Ravenas are doing great playing with their respective teams.

They are really competing and giving our nation a pride that we can give pain in the ass to whoever talents we encountered.

They deserve to be where they are now, they are both discipline and talented players, so for sure the team where they are playing are getting what they are expecting from them. I think there will be more players that will sign the B-Leauge if PBA would not make an adjustment of their salary rate.

This is because of the hieght to strenght of average Filipino player is not good compared to other nationality such as Americans, EU and Africa. Even they are tall, They can still move very fast as if they are small players here. We can take sample to Junmar, Slaughter and Japhet they are huge but slow compared to NBA players with same height. Only league like B-League Filipino player is in demand because we have same average height and genes limitarion. Let's be proud that other nationality respect our skills.

I saw the series odds shared to me by my friend, I'm sure it's not a crypto betting sites but just to give you an idea, the series odds for the Ginebra kings IIRC is only 1.48, so anyone giving 1.50 odds for Gin Kings, I think it's just reasonable.

Should be also obvious that the salary in Japan B-league is much higher compared to PBA because our locals there are treated as an imports. They are not local players there.

Japan B-League offers huge compare to PBA but the future is not secured there knowing they can replace him anytime they want as he is not a local player on that league, Maybe in PBA they will also get that salary what they got on B-league if they just wait for salary increase that might happen in future which I believe it will happen to compete with other international leagues. We should also look that many aged players continue to play on PBA so I guess it will be good for local player to stay on PH since this could secure more their future.

I agree with you, playing in Japan's B-league is not forever and aside from that, those signed players should always be in good shape as they can replace when they are not performing well. In PBA, even a not performing player can earn 6 digits in a month without even playing with good minutes. A long-term career is sure in PBA even if players are not playing at a Superstars level.

Others think here that just because PBA has a low salary to offer compared to the Japanese B-league, it will be easy for players to just go there and ask for sign-ups in B-league. It has a process and qualifications. Should be also obvious that the salary in Japan B-league is much higher compared to PBA because our locals there are treated as an imports. They are not local players there.

my max bet is BTC0.005 versus your BTC0.0035, or to make it simple, the odds is 1.70.

Shoot me a PM if you like the odds.

This is a good offer however I'm also with Ginebra's NSD. Not a pure fan but I can't see how Meralco will deal with Ginebra in a series match now that Brownlee has proven he's still turning into a beast mode and showing no signs of slowing down.

Here in our place, when there's no way or only a few likes to bet on the other team, especially in a Best-of-7 series match, they are adding another handicap for the Favorite team which is called +1 or +2 series. This is only offered when the team has a really low chance to beat their opponent based on what the majority thinks.

You can offer a +1 series and see if someone will accept your bet. To make it simple, Meralco just needs 3 wins over Ginebra's 4 wins and that bettor will win against you. The bet amount is 1:1, no odds or something but to increase the chances of someone taking your offer, consider sticking with your first offered odds or adjusting a bit in favor of you since giving a +1 series is already a big advantage for them.

No betting odds yet for game 1, I think this would be available by tomorrow morning.

I'm thinking, maybe it's fun if we will have our local betting here on the series.
Not sure if I have already posted this before, but if you are betting on Meralco, shoot me a PM, I'm betting on the Ginebra to win the series.

Seems like there are no takers on your offer mate. Many users here are die-hard fans of Ginebra Kings I think so we will be having a hard time making a deal here in this forum so I think the best way to bet is to go to the bookies hehe.

Let me try  Grin.

My 0.002 BTC to your 0.001 BTC, i'm for the Ginebra Kings, the odds for this is 1.50 or 2.0 if you are for the Meralco Bolts.

There’s also a bonus if a player got an individual award aside from getting a bonus on winning the title,
Yes, they have. I think I've read it in the past years that those that got awards have their special bonus aside from the overall bonus that they've got for being a champ.
That's already out of the reported salary, maybe non-taxable, so they will enjoy that bonus.
For individuals and as a team, both would receive an award, I'm even thinking that Ginebra and Meralco are already getting an award now that they are in the PBA Finals.
What that award could be while they're in the finals? And when would be the awarding will happen during these finals, AFAIK, there's an awarding while the finals are there.

This is entirely for any sport not just in basketball and in the league of PBA. It's truly rewarding if you've made a name on your area, you'll get a lot of recognition and very lucrative in a manner that you can retire early but due to opportunities, you really have to hit them first.
It's very rewarding if you are satisfied with the salary, in fact, the B League offers a bigger salary than in the PBA, and yet some players who were invited to join still choose to stay. There are rumors that Romeo, Abueva, and Fajardo are invited but they remain loyal to the current league.
Yes, it's true about the B League but I think, if the athlete is already on that league, he really has to show his all and good performance so that he'll be renewed for the next season that they have.
