Lots of our local players like to play in outside leagues, however, they don't meet the qualifications. Also take note that it's not only in PH where scouting is in progress, but also for other countries as well.
I see your point, it's not just the Pinoy pro but also from other countries where basketball is also one of the famous sport, we know for now that those players who accepts the offer are earning a decent amount of money, but the chance of being replace is always possible after that season contract.

Though, if you are aiming to earn and you see that one season's earning is good enough to open business for the future of your family, why not instead of waiting for long time playing and risking your physical health with fewer profits.

More on how player and handlers position if they will take this risk or stay for a long contract job.

Tony Bishop is surely inspired by now. It's reported that Meralco entering the Finals will give Bishop a $50,000 bonus.

That's a great reward aside from the usual salary he will receive. And what if Meralco made to Finals, I think another bonus with the same amount.

He should just maintain his great stats as one of the leading imports in the PBA to match the level of playing of Justin Brownlee. He should not repeat his performance on Game 4 against Magnolia as he struggles badly in the game.
There’s always a good bonuses on their contract, getting into the finals can really give them huge money and that could encourage players to play better going into the finals. This could be the battle of the imports with a huge help of the local players, Bishop can compete with Brownlee and with a help of other players, there’s a chance for Meralco to win a game just don’t mind the crowds because most probably Ginbera will play on a big crowd again.
There’s also a bonus if a player got an individual award aside from getting a bonus on winning the title, playing Basketball in PBA is also rewarding, you just need to prove your worth and you can be good imagine how much money you can make on every conference. Meralco vs Ginebra is a good match up, no more bias games and placing your bet is not easy here, so think well before you bet.
Just see what Blackwater gave to Shawn Glover after getting their first victory after at least 2 years. A paid vacation plus money maybe.

After all, this kind of incentives that are being given to imports are normal already to improve more or maybe attract that import to return if incase they need him. If Bishop will perform well this Finals, even though they will not win there might be a chance that they will get him again next Governor's Cup like what Ginebra is doing with Brownlee. Bishop and Brownlee are both scorers. Another thing that might affect Meralco is their audiences. We know how Ginebra fans are when their team is playing. Chants of Boo's everywhere and shouts from around the venue will be heard. I wonder how Meralco will also take that part aside from the fact that they will be facing a strong team like Ginebra Cheesy.

my max bet is BTC0.005 versus your BTC0.0035, or to make it simple, the odds is 1.70.

Shoot me a PM if you like the odds.

Nice odds you are offering mate, unfortunately, we are on the same side. Ginebra here #NSD.

I have a handicap of this game too, I will give the Meralco +1 game in a series, I'm risking up to BTC0.002 for a 1-1 odds.

For some players that didn't have a chance or already passed by the spotlight here, they surely go for the B-league just for money but for some players that still young and choose to play there, I believe the reason is not for big offer salary only but rather to hone more there skills since foreign basketball is always good to develop further since they are already playing in the Philippines since they are college. It's not bad to play in foreign country since our PBA seems like not a National league but rather a basketball of 2 giant company.

The offer to play in B-league is not as easy as you think. I already mentioned before that even if there are PBA stars who will play in that league, PBA will still be PBA and it won't crash. It's not that there are many PBA players receiving offers to play in the Japanese B-league. Players need to be fully skilled and great before a scout can offer them to play an outside league.

Exactly, that's why being able to play overseas is a dream come true for some players. Look at Ray Parks, he was not given a max salary with the TNT and now he is playing in B-League, and I'm sure he is already comfortable with his salary.

Japan B-League offers huge compare to PBA but the future is not secured there knowing they can replace him anytime they want as he is not a local player on that league, Maybe in PBA they will also get that salary what they got on B-league if they just wait for salary increase that might happen in future which I believe it will happen to compete with other international leagues. We should also look that many aged players continue to play on PBA so I guess it will be good for local player to stay on PH since this could secure more their future.

No betting odds yet for game 1, I think this would be available by tomorrow morning.

I'm thinking, maybe it's fun if we will have our local betting here on the series.
Not sure if I have already posted this before, but if you are betting on Meralco, shoot me a PM, I'm betting on the Ginebra to win the series.

Are you kidding me? B League will not sign them because B-League is a bigger league than the PBA.

It's actually both, they want to develop their skills and at the same time make more money.
You can read about why Kiefer played on BLeague.

According to Japan Times, in 2019, the average annual salary of a Japanese player is around $147,000 or around PHP7,000,000.
Did you know how much is the annual salary in the PBA? If you know, you can compare.

That's right mate, overseas League usually offers bigger salaries compared to the league in the Philippines, so why would they sign a player that has no more future in the PBA, that would only make their team worse. And the level of competition in BLeague is higher than the PBA because they have many imports in one team if I'm not mistaken.

It's very rewarding if you are satisfied with the salary, in fact, the B League offers a bigger salary than in the PBA, and yet some players who were invited to join still choose to stay. There are rumors that Romeo, Abueva, and Fajardo are invited but they remain loyal to the current league.

Definitely agree with you because there are star players in the PBA that choose to play in the B- League. One example is Ravena, he was already a star player of the NLEX, so I expect that he is receiving a big salary, and yet he choose to play abroad due to a bigger opportunity or increase of salary.

Let's move on to the PBA Finals, can the Bolts resist the firepower of Ginebra Kings or this is just a one-sided affair?

I'm sure it's not a one-sided series, Ginebra maybe the favorite but they cannot sweep the Bolts who are playing with lots of energy in the semi Finals. Their import once struggles but they still win, I think they can give the Ginebra a very good challenge.

Does anyone here like to have a bet on this series?

I'm sure everyone is on Ginebra.. Any Meralco Takers here?

Speaking of B-League, we have fresh news that I just read today about an SMB player who is set to play in B-Leauge.
~snip~
I'm not sure if this is legit or just an April Fools post since it was posted last April 1, 2022.

I did a little research on this one as I find it interesting to see Vic Manuel bring his chores to Japan but I think this is just a prank. The one that posted this on Facebook was the one to post also that this is just an April Fool's prank.

There’s also a bonus if a player got an individual award aside from getting a bonus on winning the title,
Yes, they have. I think I've read it in the past years that those that got awards have their special bonus aside from the overall bonus that they've got for being a champ.
That's already out of the reported salary, maybe non-taxable, so they will enjoy that bonus.
For individuals and as a team, both would receive an award, I'm even thinking that Ginebra and Meralco are already getting an award now that they are in the PBA Finals.

playing Basketball in PBA is also rewarding, you just need to prove your worth and you can be good imagine how much money you can make on every conference. Meralco vs Ginebra is a good match up, no more bias games and placing your bet is not easy here, so think well before you bet.
This is entirely for any sport not just in basketball and in the league of PBA. It's truly rewarding if you've made a name on your area, you'll get a lot of recognition and very lucrative in a manner that you can retire early but due to opportunities, you really have to hit them first.

Bonuses are part of the contract, this is on top of their payment contract once a certain condition achieve by a players and beside, Brownlee for sure gets more compare to Bishop this can also boost his confidence in the up coming finals. This is not just a battle of the imports, this is also a battle of coaches and those who have a better plays, I’d rather place my bet on the second game and I’ll be a speculator for now.

As long as Almazan, Newsome, and Maliksi will produce, they will not be left behind in this competitive series.

We can expect that Chris Newsome will always be on his high-level performance every game but there's a problem, especially at Almazan and Maliksi, they are not consistent. They always find their rhythm in every game which is supposed not to be a hard task for them but that's not what happened. There's no room for that as they are now in the Finals and facing Ginebra is a big challenge.

I'm looking forward that Almazan will be consistent. He wasn't able to play during the first meetup of Meralco and Ginebra last 2019 because of injury.

The time now to show what he got and push for their revenge for their Finals loss that year.

A great Matchup between Almazan and CStand, both moving centers who can aggressively get the offensive rebounds and convert.
It will be a rematch in which both sides of the fans will love to watch. Meralco's locals need to work together to beat the solid chemistry of Ginebra's core players.

It would be another tough challenge in both ends. Whoever is more hunger to win the title will be crowned as season's champion.

Good luck to all bettors and fans. Pick wisely !  Roll Eyes Grin
