PBA stars might think about it and consider those offers, 1 season can bring decent paychecks which you can established good business for your future, instead of playing long years from PBA Cool
It's really about their future and those that are serious with it, they'll take the offer and settle when they retire. But we don't know the retirement benefits from PBA. So they have to consider bigger paychecks on the present and settle when they're ready for it.
These offers really good to decline and that's why some of them have already went to B League and we know that it won't be stopping there because there will batches that shall take the offer as they're being scouted to play there.

While this is a good thing for the PH players, this is bad for the PBA.
While PH players are getting paid higher and getting more experience playing outside the country, PBA is losing some great players.

There are only 2 players right now that shift from PBA to Japan B league and those players are overrated in the league. Ray Parks Jr. and Kiefer Ravena are just average players in the league so I don't think they can be considered as great players in the PBA right now even you add Christian Standhardinger there.

The problem is not those players that come from PBA but those prospects that don't want to be drafted in the league and went straight to Japan B-league. High salary, high compensation but these players need to show they deserved those paychecks. If they failed to show that, they will be removed from that league and PBA will still be their last checkpoint.

That's nice if they still have a chance to play in the PBA back, however, the reason they were signed by Japan's B-League is that they have the quality of a good import, and unless they are fully injured, they can still play and enjoy their good salary. Ray Parks Jr. used to play in international games already, it's not new for him and as far as I see, he is doing well with this team.

And the most important is he is happy.

So far, those mentioned names who went straight to B-League are performing casually from how the team assigned them.
Aside from Kobe Paras who are really creating his name to this league, I think the management is happy with how Paras
giving his service.

The point here is, with those hypes being created by those young players who making a huge amount of money, being practical and knowing that you can do much better compared to those young kids,

PBA stars might think about it and consider those offers, 1 season can bring decent paychecks which you can established good business for your future, instead of playing long years from PBA Cool

For me, I would rather see Christian playing in B-League rather than staying on his team that he is only criticized by the fans. In B-League, it's more competitive and the most important thing is the salary is way bigger than what he is making with the PBA.
There’s a lot of B-League adoption going on with so many players recently so if this is a good opportunity for them to grow and make money why not? Let’s just hope that PBA are more open to this and will not penalize those who skip the draft since we are in a new era now and Japan has been a great place for our players, this might be a good news for Christian.
While this is a good thing for the PH players, this is bad for the PBA.
While PH players are getting paid higher and getting more experience playing outside the country, PBA is losing some great players.

The good thing though is that, people aren't that strict anymore with regards to Fil-foreign players. They are allowing players who want to play in PBA that are restricted because of some rules. They just needed passport and they will play. These will allow more players to play in our league because there are many Fil-foreign players who want to play in PBA.

We want to see PH players playing outside our country for some reasons. Lets face it, B-league is better in terms of salary and competition than PBA that is why some PH players are opting to play there.

Yes, there are offers for C-Stan to play in Japan but due to FIBA rules on Asian import, he may not play on the B1 League but rather on the B3 league which pays at least $36K per month, very much lower than B1 League players/imports received.

But his playstyle fits on that kind of league though so this might be the last conference Christian will play in the PBA.

Quote
Stanhardinger, the 6-foot-8, 220-pound hybrid affectionately called C-Stan, only qualifies as a "world import" in Japan, relegating him to the B3.

Per a FIBA edict, Asian imports hooping in the B1 and B2 League must hold a passport and are qualified to play for the national team of their Asian country of origin. Standhardinger has played for Gilas Pilipinas is the past, but only as a naturalized player.
Looking at the numbers, that monthly income is really what matters here and I don't think PBA can counter offer it. This good opportunity for every PBA offer to accept the offer if there is because PBA is full of politics and criticism from its own viewers, its not worth it to stay if there's an offer but of course you must deliver so they'll get you again, I hope he accept the offer.

There's no way they will counter it as the difference is too big. Just like the previous post,  Romeo is earning 200k PHP per month in the PBA while he can earn as much as 2 million PHP per month so that x10 amount he will make will never be given by the SMC management, even JMF is not making 1 million per month.

This was shared before here. I also agree that CStand should play in the B-League if he wants to improve more his skills. Aside from salary, his playing style is fit with the B-League where most offenses came from the perimeter and under the paint where CStand is comfortable with.

But CStand has a behavior of always requesting he should be on the floor even the whole system designed by a Coach is not effective if he's there. He's also used to being the main scorer previously before landing in Ginebra. If there's another scoring machine on his supposed team in B-League, I hope he will cooperate. We see how hard for him to blend with his fellow Filipino teammates in Ginebra so what's more if for foreign teammates.

I didn't hear that rumor that he is always requesting more playing time because AFAIK, Christian is very dedicated in his job as a player and he'll follow whatever the coach will design for him. If you are talking about when he was still playing with the NorthPort, then most probably he would really have a lot of minutes because they have no other option, but when he played with the SMB, his minutes is very much controlled as JMF always gets the best minutes.

This is true. I've seen that with a more reputable news outlet and source. That's a good decision for him. It's now time for the PBA to replace almost everything within the league. It's better to follow the format of NBA for which that's being followed by the B league.
There's still huge following for the fans of PBA but they will keep seeing this transfer and it's quite disappointing to the side of PBA that they know that a player is going to transfer just after playing for their conference.

The popular players will grow but the PBA will not, LOL.

PBA cannot compete with the offers from B-League, so PBA would not be exciting without the star players we see.
Maybe they can make rules by not allowing a player to play abroad when they are still in contract, or make a contract longer so players will not look for another league as they will feel secure with a longer contract.

I don't know, but I'm sure the PBA already is making a way to figure out on stopping their players getting a chance to play with Japan's B- League.

If they didn't allow Kiefer to go, it will serve as a good warning to everyone, but since they give him permission, PBA also gives the GREEN sign

to those key players that will also receive a decent offer from Japan B-League, there's nothing the management can do aside from the ban that will be implemented after choosing to play abroad.

A penalty of one year? Still good enough if you receive a million monthly for playing one season for B-League team.

Play, then go home, wait for another year and be back to your team or whatever team that shows interest to you. PBA stars are also
given a good chance to rest and sign another contract anytime they feel to come back after that ban already lifted.

Lets forget first the Terrence Romeo rumors and lets see some other news that are related to Basketball

Shabazz Mohammad, the import of Meralco has been replaced by Tony Bishop. Mohammad is replaced due to a personal emergency.
- Base on One Sports Facebook Page, Bishop is the leading scorer of the Panama National Team in 2017 Fiba AmeriCup. Making a quick Google search and you will find that the National team ranks 48 overall so they are at the middle of the rankings. He is the top 2 leading scorer of the team with 16 PPG and the top rebounder with 9 RPG so I'm expecting that this averages will be higher coming into the PBA although I want to see Shabazz playing in the league. Its just very exciting to see an NBA player playing into our league but.. things like this are happening.

Anyway, any announcements into when the Governor's Cup will begin? Maybe I'm not updated Cheesy
That’s a strong record to begin with and lucky for Meralco to have that kind of Import though in terms of ranking we are still ahead of Panama fiba ranking which I can say that our basketball system are better compare to them. Well, this is not an individual performance though and Meralco have to work as a team here. No final announcement yet, hopefully early next year.

He might have a good record but I would still think that an import that has experience playing in the NBA is better since NBA would not draft a player without passing all the qualifications needed. Let's see if this replacement is good, the conference will probably start soon, so hopefully, all imports will arrive so they can start training with their respective team.

I think I see a post here on previous pages that Governor's Cup should start this month of November. I just forgot who post that.

Long story short, the user who posted that is correct that the next conference should start this month. It was expected to start on November 28th.

But according to the article here: PBA Governors' Cup likely to be delayed as teams await arrival of imports, likely it will be delayed because only 5 imports are confirmed to play out of 12. The next target will be the 1st week of December.

They are probably working also on having the fans back to watch the game live, as previously reported, it will be in the 3rd or 4th week this month, so let's just be optimistic that they'll be on schedule.

The PBA will open its second conference of the season in the third or fourth week of November, with foreign reinforcements set to play once again. The league was only able to hold an All-Filipino Conference last year due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

All about Terrence Rumors, let's move forward.. Wink I don't know those names and it's still good to see the replacement before the player play inside the court, whatever emergency Shabazz have it's just missed opportunities for Pinoy fans and players to have him inside and see what he can contribute to the team.

in regard to his replacement, basing to your shared information, it's not bad and maybe he will still provide what Meralco needs from him.

We are all waiting and see what are the impacts of each imports to their respective teams.
