We have been waiting for it patiently, I think we should be rewarded soon for our patience. Meanwhile, great news for June Mar Fajardo and the SMB.

My personal opinion here, I think NP will not even make it to the playoffs, they can't by trusting Slaughter only.

I'm thinking that he is saying that they can make a good title run because of their acquisitions in the off-season.
Bollick is returning, a point forward in Jamie Malonzo and another forward in Troy Rike.

I believe Coach Pido is a good coach and he already did something that we know its impossible years ago when they defeated the top seeded NLEX. I'm not expecting too much with this team but if they will make it into the playoffs then good for them

Old Fajardo? I don't think so because his past injury might affect his performance. Also include the thinking where he might get re-injured again and that might affect too.
He will be dominating the paint maybe but not as dominate as he was when he isn't injured. Anyway, I'm saying to much negative things to him Cheesy

After the Gilas performances, now it's time to go back to the discussion for the upcoming PBA games. And thank you for these updates as it's good to know that if their plan A fails, they're going to have another plan that's already set as plan B. I thought that the bubble, semi or not will commence somewhere in Batangas because of the leaks that I've seen before but if it's not then that's okay. As long as the games will be back and the fans are waiting for it, we'd love to see how the new players that have been absorbed by every team perform. I hope that they'll get more playing time to showcase their talents and how ready they are once PBA is back.

Now that everything has ended and we have seen how good the young Gilas Cadets are, we will now move on to the opening of the PBA.

There's no news regarding its finality, but I'm feeling we will see some good news soon and the news would be, PBA WILL START THIS MONTH.

That's okay. Gilas showed what they can and at least they've shown to the world that they can give teams a hard time. This is always going to be remembered and these experiences will count towards the future possibility of Gilas going to the Olympics. Hopefully, they can and there's going to be a representative for the sports of basketball.

Just by going there and representing our country knowing that they are very young is a huge achievement for them already.
Lets take note that they are up against players that have many experience in World Cup already. Some are even NBA players and some are just the best players in their country.

They have nothing to lose out there since going there to represent is already a win for them. Nothing but commend and respect for these young players and still respect for their coach

. We fought until the end but it looks like it wasn't enough. Few years from now, most of these players will be the ones who will represent our country again in the next FIBA World Cup

TBH, I'm tempted to bet for Dominican Republic because I have a gut feeling that they will lose by double figures due to fatigue and the latter are preparing for them as they have scouted the Gilas players already and knew who will be guarded. I just can't pull the trigger as I feel I betrayed my country if I do so lol.

Next stop for the Gilas is the FIBA Asia Cup which will be held in Indonesia next month and I wonder who will be in the final roster as this will be the real thing that they have prepared for.

In our pinoy terms "Minama" they (Dominican Republic) put so much pressures after first half.
They manage not to give any good space and looks for the Gilas while in their offensive strike they really bring the hypes!

It's okay for now, such appearance from this young rising stars proves that we already improve our basketball skills and talents,
imagine if there's veterans stars playing alongside with this young players.

Someone who can live with the pressures, it's really different if all players are young playing against international teams.
All in all still proud for this selection, See you again guys!

Yeah, unfortunately, we suffer a big L here. But nothing to be ashamed of it, they fought very hard but obviously the competition is high level. Good learning experience for them, I'm sure that they have gain a lot of it.

And I agree, maybe in a couple of years, this team will undergo a lot progress and changes. And could challenge powerful nations again. Mabuhay for Gilas and all Filipino basketball fans out there. Lost few sats but that's OK.

We fought our hearts out again and it’s expected since we are fighting against the power house too. We have to accept it and learn from this experience, whatever the result is GILAS team are getting better. We don’t have much chance on the next round fighting Poland and Italy, that’s a hard battle as well if ever.

Only 26 points total in the second half, the Dominican Republic was able to limit PH offense on that numbers.

As expected and not a surprising loss after all. The world knows that PH is playing with young cadets and already showcasing their names in the world of international competition. A loss is already expected and that's what will make the cadets to come back stronger next time.

Experience is always the key to building a strong foundation. Several years from now, these young cadets will be used on competing outside the country and will be the face of Gilas Pilipinas.

They have some good moments already, it's already a success for us in the Philippine basketball and we have shown our brand of competitiveness on the big international stage. We will keep improving and I believe we have already gained the respect we desired.
