I've found this article: https://mb.com.ph/2021/01/12/why-smb-nlex-and-phoenix-vic-manuel-reveals-reasons-behind-his-wish-list/

Vic Manuel's wishlist on what team he wants to be traded are Phoenix, NLEX, or SMB.

Phoenix because of Calvin Abueva and Coach Topex
NLEX because of Coach Yeng Guiao
SMB because of Danny Ildefonso
Vic Manuel + Calvin Abueva? hmmmm. That's a good choice if Phoenix will offer him a contract. What I'm starting to think now is that what if these teams on his wishlist only offer him a 1-year contract?
Will he take it or will have the same reaction as what he did on Alaska.

That would be a damn move if he would sign that contract from other teams but Danny Espiritu is a good agent so i think hw could make a good deal beneficial to Vic Manuel's future in the PBA.

Looks like we are too focus now on the Manuel issue and forget that there are also big news (trade) that could happen soon hehehe.

Spiderman is going out on his web, have you heard of that?

Since Manuel already finalized what he wants, Alaska should now trade him. It's hard to keep players with the desire of leaving - either with a team or private matter problems.

They should be wise on getting a good exchange here as Manuel is still one of the good forwards in the league.

Is Alaska already receiving good proposals here from other teams even for a rumor?
Yes there is no point in keeping him I think, his mind is set to go out of the team, it will only ruin the gameplay and chemistry, its time for Alaska to establish a new play without Manuel on the roster so that players can adjust immediately, the question is who will fill the void Manuel hold for years can the replacement can do what Manuel has done for the team that's the big question.

Hmmm... So Alaska will be like Blackwater and DYIP, or even worse?

With this rumors, I think next season, I would not be confident on betting Alaska to win.. and if they are not gonna do well in the PBA, how can they market their product? I'm just a little  disappointed as I grew up watching PBA and Alaska was one of my favorite team.

It's an advantage for you. Expect that ML odds for Alaska will always be good and worth to bet.

Regarding advertisement, they are already big and even not performing well in the PBA, it won't affect their marketing that much. And I don't see Alaska will be ended like Blackwater or DYIP. Even without Manuel, they have a chance to save their asses from early elimination.

Regarding Manuel, I hope he will be traded for a non-SMC team. It will be salary and team lineup for Manuel to decide.

It's actually not a problem on which team will pick him because any team as long as they have the budget would be interested to add Manuel in their roster, we will leave it up to Manuel on which team he will choose to play and I hope not a super team like the SMB.
Yup, you are right. I'm confident that even though he is not as agile and athletic as the other Power Forward from other teams, I sense that the demand for him is still considerably high. Hello? He won't become a Gilas representative if he wasn't worthy enough. Another good thing to him is his energy and brute force inside the hard court. That's a promising attitude.

But just like what you've said, I'm also hoping that he will not go to a super team like SMB or even Ginebra. I would be glad to see him in Dyip or Phoenix hehe. I want to see more strong contenders in championship titles because I noticed lately that PBA is getting predictable.

These two teams you've mentioned are good teams for Manuel to land. But for DYIP he can't bring this team in the PBA Finals, I guess he will be a big contribution to the Phoenix and this team will be a good team to give a hard time to the SMB teams, and also consider that Manuel and Abueva had a good chemistry way back in Alaska's time, adjusting is not hard for them, and these bad boys playing in the court, damn.. what a combination.

If happened that SMB shows interest for him for sure the offer will be more considerable than other teams who also wanted to have him, once this super team express their desire hiring him, there are lots of perks where he may not be able to ignore.

SMB deal even you'll not be in the starting lineup is far better than any other team, the luxury of getting high compensations  not just the max but there are other than that something that most of us knows like under the table deals.

That's bigger than the usual max contract for sure.

These teams can be in the bottom 3 next season, but that remains to be seen, it's just a possible scenario if Manuel will finally leave the team.

That's your own decision, but don't get too affected by it, don't get fooled by your emotion, separate it when you are betting as PBA is completely different compared to NBA, if you know what I'm saying.

Aces misplayed their cards in the Vic Manuel negotiations

Quote
"Ayoko na talaga maglaro sa Alaska," the 6-foot-4 juggernaut was heard mumbling after a summit with head coach Jeff Cariaso.

That statement seems he has already decided, he will not anymore play with the Alaska Aces.

Manuel wants out, Alaska has to give him the freedom, his time with Alaska is over and he have already served them according to his salary. Now, since he wasn't so valuable in the team, then he should be open in the market for a chance to play with other team.

If Manuel is gone, then it should be Jeron Teng who will lead this team I believe.

Have you guys noticed, Alaska is letting go of it's star players. Few months ago, i have an article (blind item actually) that states that Alaska will leave the PBA and is on sale but they deny this rumors but with how things is going on now, it seems that it is going that way.

What do you think?  Cool

If you can share the source of the rumor, please do so.. well, if that's the reason behind then I guess what is happening makes sense. So we can assume that Manuel is the top paying player in the team, right? If Alaska is for sale, I hope it will not be bought by the SMC or the Pangilinan group because it will not make fans happy.

It's been in the news of Spin.Ph actually. The way i see, Alaska may not leave the PBA but they are not going to spend more money acquiring quality players. They will just be there in the PBA for the business side of it and not for the competition, just my thoughts.

Yup! I see a lot of potentials in him to improve further and he can't do it if he will stay on Alaska. So yeah, I agree on his decision. It's time for him to explore but the question is which team would pick him? Hmm, that was interesting so let's stay tuned.

Regarding Alaska's next leader, I don't think Teng is the best candidate for it. You know, he is still young and lack of experience. Besides, he doesn't make the strongest impact in his team. I think the pressure will be on Casio because he is more veteran than him.

We will see it in the news as soon as there's an update from him, he is a sucker to media since Manuel is popular in the PBA. Being the main man in the Alaska Aces, you'll know news will be all over especially if he will be sign by a championship contender team.
Yup. The other news that I've seen is that Alaska offered him a 2-year contract after the decline of the 1-year contract.

Then that counter offer of 2-year is already useless.

Yes, tenure is the best in this kind of career. His age isn't that old to retire and it's not on his mind. I don't know why his main team is doing this to him.
He didn't realize what the man has contributed to them very well. It's sort of an insult to him after being with the team but that's how their career goes. But what would be his reaction if they'll back the offer and go favoring his terms and the likes of it.

Actually according to the news per source posted here, Alaska still offered him the same contract last season, but he doesn't like it anymore, he wants a longer team, not one year so he is looking for another team which can give him that.
Yes, that's why I wonder why his team gave him that kind of contract knowing that he's been part of the team for so long and also played as one of the main men for their roster.
I Will look up to him for more updates about him if he has taken a contract from another team with a longer stay.

We will see it in the news as soon as there's an update from him, he is a sucker to media since Manuel is popular in the PBA. Being the main man in the Alaska Aces, you'll know news will be all over especially if he will be sign by a championship contender team.

Exactly, and there's a lot of article already coming out after that breaking news that Manuel would want a trade.
