Yup, it's like a new day in the league when someone touches the mighty coaches or commissioners that have power to degrade and deport you as an import. That is the reason why the local players don't want to mess them around when they are still in contract and they don't want to name names or call out. You see the other retired PBA players, they're all free to name names now as if they're able to escape from a cage that's stopping them to voice out their authentic opinions about coaches and the league itself.
That's PBA, it's full of politics, but you can tell that his league is slowly dying. If you would notice on the recent games, their were only few auidence watching the game, so the question is, where are they gonna get the money to sustain the operation. The answer is, it's the big companies like SMB and TNT who are sponsoring this, and that's the rason why these team owners have much incfluence in the PBA. As to punishing players, it's the decision of the commissioner, maybe it' looks bias but they have the power so there's nothing we can do.
As long as they still have the big franchise owners then they are still good to go, and with how we see things happening inside the league where control is broadly favoring these two big companies, though Pacquiao's own league is also rising but it's more on money matter, I like to point it out that fans still supporting the Brgy and other franchise but the numbers are no longer the same as how it was before.
Fans who still watching live can't sustain it but the money from big franchise is enough to continue the league without any problem.
That doesn't give any good turnouts for independent team since if the number of attendee still not good when they are playing for sure they can't get enough revenue and might lose a lot for this that's why if PBA really want to help other team or to make the league exist for more longer years they should eliminate those unfair trades also try to balance each roster of the team so that people might get an interest to watch them again. If to much monopoly happened on PBA and they can't get much revenue on each match for sure we can see the oldest league on Asia to fall down so at early as now they should do something and forget about being greedy for theirselves to win a championship.
PBA is not the same as before that's why many people doesn't like to watch it anymore.
And that's also the reason why PBA still surviving, giving all those favors to these two giant companies and allow them to proceed with unfair trades, I don't want to be an hater but it's the reality that we can't hide, Whatever SMC or MVP requests will always happen or there's always a way to give them the favor, it always been that way and look at them this league still moving forward even the numbers of viewers and fans are far from what they got before, money speak louder and actions from the governors are mostly on the direction where MVP and SMC wanted it to be.
