You can not invest them anywhere at all. Just keep in ethereum. Aether, too, will need only time. I hope it will be very soon.
I completely agree with you, now is the time that it is better to hold the ETH in your wallet and not invest anywhere. My advice is that you better hold ETH that you have, because it definitely gives you more profit in the future than you invest in ICO and in my opinion investing in ICO is currently not giving us profit, because many ICO fail and the price down when entering on exchange.

I know that by now, you would have invested the eth and it would have been good you come back to share your experience and the outcome. If peradventure you still have them with you, then this is an opportunity for you to invest if you so wish. Although, not all altcoins are good for investment now, despite that, there are still some that will give you good profit. Invest in ICO or coins that have got products or MVP at least. 
I think eth deserves to be more than $1000 so I am holding it now because I am waiting for its growth. I think 3 eth is not much so you better hold them.
Select something where your investment will be diversified and there will be huge opportunity to increase your capital like 10x time+
I would hold ETH, because it is one of the most undervalued currencies in the crypto space. One day this coin is going to bounce back and take the crown from Bitcoin. Hope this would happen already in 2019.

I would stay away from the ICO sector at the moment it just seems like a sure fire way to halve your stakes. My advice would be to invest in a few of the top 50 coins from coinmarketcap and sit back and wait for a full-scale recovery and the next bull phase. With them having been decimated by almost 90% it will be easy to make 2 or 3 times your investment when confidence returns.

ICO developers offer different bonuses. There are 35%, 40% and so on. This depends on the rules set. If the ICO price reaches the target, then you already get 35% of the total investment. If the market price is higher than the ICO price, of course you will get 100%, even more.
I don't think you should invest in any ICO as of now. The days of gaining profit from ICOs is over.

The most clever advice is to save your 3 Eth and not to convert them into other alts! You will lose your time on learning the market and money on commission but eth will rise as much as other alts! eth is a good investment according to the ratio "potential to growth - risk"
I would suggest you to hold your three etheriums instead of investing it in other coins. I have a trust on eth that it will recover again big time. You just have to be patient and wait for the right time.

at the moment it is very difficult to find ICO that is running successfully. if you invest in the ICO, you have to be more careful because at the moment there are many ICO projects that are scam. if you have doubts then it's better to invest in valuable altcoins, you can see valuable altcoins in the crypto market such as idex.market, https://coinmarketcap.com, forkdelta, etherdelta, Hitbtc and others.

I suggest you to look at promised non-ICO projects, those are funded by developers themselves.For example, STR token: you may get at least 100% per year because of minting only, even if the current price will not grow within next 12 months.
Other example, HLS token: they are developing a new smart contract platform, like ETH, but much more scalable. May be it will not replace ETH completely, but for sure will get it's own piece of pie in crypto world. The testnet launch is very soon, in the end of this month.
But consider this as a suggest only, do your own investigations before invest.
Seriously it is hard to find an ICO that will give 3X these days, the market condition is bad and such ICO hardly perform so well on exchanges, I think it is better you hold on to your eth and wait for the market to recover.
IDEALCOIN and ALIVECASINO is really a good ICO.
