Best pool ever! Please auto payment
See the post above yours Wink That's what my project does, ask for payments if the amounts are high enough.
However not everyone might have access to a machine to run it, true.

I think he means he wants no more pending for payments, but I'm not sure that's a good idea.  Review will remove any risk to the pool.

Love this pool, been using it for a while.  Thanks for the API.

I thought others might be interested in a python script I wrote to notify me if my hashrate drops, or if a block is found by the pool.  It's a single-shot script that I use with cron.

It's at https://github.com/youse/bitparking-mailer

Thank you for the script, I will implement this on my proxy server. Might change a few things, like give me hourly updates, and include more from the json output, and loop it.

If curl was available on iOS I would love to use your code. I might implement some snippets into my iOS app, I will be sure to credit you.

I'm glad you found it useful.  Please, extract snippets and/or modify as you see fit for your needs.

I have notice a discrepancy and was wondering if it is normal or not.

My hash rate is ~40 GH/s, it shows this on my user stats page. When I go to the statistics page it shows my hashrate at 9 GH/s

Huh I'm confused, I read 41 GH on the site and 41.5 GH on your BFG miner output... what's the discrepency?

On the statics page, it shows 9 GH/s, that is why I have bfg miner in the first screenshot to show the discrepancy.

Hash Rate = 41606.45 ?  Where do you see 9 GH/s?

The 5th column is hash rate.

I don't understand how you got confused, I did the screenshots with the information right there.

I see now.  Sorry for my confusion.  That's your average rate for this block I believe.  So if you haven't been in for the entire round, it will display a lower rate.

Have you been mining for the entire 120 hour round?  If not, then once we find a block, that rate should be closer to your stats once you have no down time for an entire round.

Ok, got it. It should probably say Average Hash Rate, lol

No I haven't been on the entire round unfortunately, after that week long round and me getting shafted almost .05 btc I switched pools but ended up having connection issues so I decided to come back hoping the DGM issues were resolved by now.

The DGM estimate is still only half of what it should be. I'm hoping something is just broken/misconfigured... but I've moved my miners elsewhere.

So uh... since the DGM adjustment didn't settle out before the block was found, we're getting shafted with the last block? It only paid out 13 BTC. That's pretty awful after we spent 7.5 days on a single block. Variance only averages out if we're paid roughly the same for every block... only getting 1/2 of the subsidy on a quick block after waiting a week on a long block is really screwing us over.

+1

After the block was found and I had my btc I moved to btc guild with pps, I have made double what I got on that block, whic was .03, dgm expected was .08 to include BTC pending.

I like bitparking, been on it for a couple months, but damn, I didn't even get a reach around with that one.

With the next block:

Current
Difficulty   DGM Estimate   Current Block Shares   Duration   CDF
707408283.0514985    8.49823019    97,030,022    07:37:19    12.82%

Estimated payout of 8.49 for the entire pool?  Out of a 25 coin payout... I'm going to be switching off of this pool.  Maybe I just don't understand DGM very well.... but based on those predictions I don't like it.

With that last block:

Id   Block   Time   Duration   Block Reward   DGM Payment   Shares   State
452   273428   2013-12-06 17:43   183:13:36   25.10242339   28.76415763   2,325,697,441   valid

Other blocks paid an extra 3 BTC due to the bad variance...  I guess at this point the variance is way too high for me.

2013-12-07: The pool struck another duplicate block problem today with a large payout amount. I've resolved the block invalid and will try to track down what caused it. A DGM adjustment is currently underway so DGM estimates will be inaccurate for a period. As part of the DGM adjustment I've also adjusted the parameter that makes the pool pay more on long blocks. I've set this to be lower. This means long blocks will not pay so much more than 25 BTC but shorter blocks will pay more to offset it. The previous setting of about 23% extra payment was causing too much variance for the pool with the current high bitcoin value. This adjustment will also cause an innacuracy in the DGM estimates until it settles.
